@@wendysmith8298 I really hope your pre-op diet goes well, and that your recovery goes smoothly!💜 I'm nervous- but only because I have a fatty liver genetically so I'm praying that it will shrink down enough and not cause any issues. Fighting!💪💜
@@nicolea1149 oh boy oh BOY... I'm still recovering from surgery because I had complications and they had to open me up! So, a success even with the complications!
I did so well on my liquid diet (approx 2.5 weeks), my liver shrunk so well I did not need the upper incision to move my liver out of the way. I have 4 incisions all on my lower stomach.
@@scootersound runny mashed potatoes??? Those are high in carbs though? 🤔 My problem is that I have an array of food intolerances (soy, malt, barely, plant based proteins, all imitation sugars) so it limits me significantly. My surgery was scheduled TODAY but I tested positive for Covid so it's postponed till September 27th. I can't imagine having to do the pre-op fluid diet all over again 😣. Please tell me more about the runny mashed potatoes and how you got around the high carb content. Thank you!!!

@@Endobariatric do you think that having GERD will actually disqualify me from getting the gastric sleeve I want to get that one and my doctor said the same thing but it makes me wonder if I will have problems later?
@vgarza1972 I'm almost 5 weeks out, and let me tell ya: it's been an emotional roller coaster. lol I'm starting my final post-op eating phase thie Friday, and I feel good. I had to remind myself after the surgery that EVERYTHING is a process. I wasn't what we consider " a food addict," but I'm happy to be enjoying real food again. Not saying I'm not tempted at times but I remind myself that I need to feed my body good things. The healing process is slow but good, I still can't sleep a full night on my stomach but other that, it's good. I started working on meditating and changing my mindset about life in general. 😁😁
Quick question doctor I got my gastric sleeve last year and I have lost Over 200 pounds . I went from 561 to 312 but recently I started to stop loosing weight and have gain weight (31) pounds back because of my bad drinking habits (alcohol with sugar) . So I decided to stop drinking alcohol and got myself on a 1 month liquid diet. Any recommendations for me to keep loosing weight again? Is getting into a liquid diet again with my small stomach would help me loose weight? I’m exercising as well and cut all sugars/carbs since liquid diet. Thank u & GOD bless. Need some answers thanks
Let me tell you how proud I am of you remember that you have worked so hard to get to where you wanted to be. Don’t let it go. It’s so easy to put on the weight and hard to lose it so just be careful and good luck with your journey.

Cutting the amount of carbs and increasing lean protein will help you. Also, try intermittent fasting with this.
