Rapture
By Brian Balmages
Item: 00-50660
Series: MakeMusic Symphonic Band
Grade 4
Make a powerful statement with this intense yet introspective work. The opening exclamation by percussion becomes a fixture throughout, supported by epic brass lines and energetic woodwind flourishes. Inspired by the hymn "Lo! He Comes with Clouds Descending", the music contrasts themes of pure joy and euphoria with intense reflection and peace. Covering the gamut of emotions, Rapture, by Brian Balmages, is as intense in its lyrical moments as in the height of its rapturous glory.

@@Band_Kid_4_Life The teacher we had was good and my part wasnt that hard imo
Do you have to split it like the beginning says that it can be split between 2 people? If not, good for you. That’s possibly the coolest part of this whole song. On par with Chimes.
percussion 1 tho ❤❤❤
3:15 🥰
Typical balmages banger
balmages the fucking goat bruh
I’m curious what exactly the inspiration was for this song
Check the description
@@CanisXYZnot really since the first ever mention of the rapture was in the 16th century. Not a single early-Christian or church father ever even heard about the rapture. The rapture is most likely a heresy.
I feel like there might have been some harry Potter music inspiration
This song makes me want to switch to horn bruh
I mean this really does give me Rapture tho, I feel like I’m ascending lmao
ik they’re using like the Bible term thing but like still
Im so cooked
Yeah me too
Shit slaps sp hard
If you could choose 2 colors to represent this song what would they be and why
Grey and gold. Storm clouds being cleared by the light/passion/intensity of the sun
It's giving dark red and white
