I agree, but they would need to bring back Warren Spector and almost every other member who was involved in the first two games. Plus, with how Disney is nowadays, chances are Epic Mickey 3, if it were revived, would fall under the same problem of Disney meddling to push Warren and company or whoever they get to make the threequel to add ethnicity and many more content that has caused people to hate Disney's current films, there is a chance Epic Mickey 3 will end up bombing if Disney interferred. Plus, we would need HD remasters of the first two games, which would be pretty much impossible due to the first Epic Mickey being done with Nintendo's involvement.

Disney Infinity can’t come back the way it was, Skylanders either, because Toys To Life died out Now that doesn’t mean they can’t do it, but there’s a better way now. Still make physical stuff, but also an option to buy it digitally, this will make it so rare figures are still rare, but the experience is open to more people My thoughts are that using that method would allow for so much more, especially digital content, like if you have Disney+ you could get one play set for free, or maybe some exclusive versions of characters (like a black and white version of Wanda and Vision) Honestly I don’t know why they aren’t thinking of this, this would work so well for Disney Infinity, and it could save Skylanders which was a fun franchise
Yeah... Y'know, there's some stuff in the first game that still kinda baffles me. Take the World of Gremlins, for instance. It's the largest world in the game (or at least it feels like it), but it's also the most underutilized and the most disconnected. There's barely any meaningful story development in it (unless you count Small Pete's quest I guess), and there isn't even any build-up to the Clock Tower fight, yet there's a clear mission for it, as if you were supposed to know of its existence. Gus even talks about quests and your map and stuff only when you reach Mean Street, which is AFTER the entire World of Gremlins! It's like one giant tutorial stage, with great atmosphere, but one that you went through and never go back to or even mention again.
Since 2019 I've noticed that Epic Mickey content is getting more attention, if we keep going like this, then maybe Disney will notice and do something about it.
I love this franchise so much. I’ve had dreams about how this game could be made. Level designs, story, characters, all of it. I had a Twitter thread talking about it but I can’t post it here but I had said that The Pete’s make Prescott build a machine out of the clock tower to time travel through wastelands time to benefit them for the future. We get a huge battle sequence 1/3 in the game with the clock tower showing off proportions between boss and character. They lose the battle and time gets altered and the Pete’s rule. The blot is free again. The crew has to save each other to come up with a plan. Come to that they need to go to the white rabbit from Alice in wonderland and learn about scale, size, and time altering. They use the abilities to fix the timeline and stop the blot again. The blot sequences would show how big it is to Mickey and Oswald. When they go to defeat the blot, the blot won’t have a heart to live by but Mickey can use his to either absorb it and kill it or use it to rebuild wasteland into something wayyy better. The whole game is open world, no load screens, fast travel can be unlocked through projectors, better in game camera, can play as Donald, ortensia, goofy, daisy, Mickey, Oswald. Donald has sound abilities, ortensia has her bunnies, goofy self destruct/body dismemberment for distance items/buttons, daisy can distract baddies? All characters used for puzzles. Also no musicals or like if any just one. They dragged on too long. But that’s my thoughts and ideas for what I would do for the 3rd one.

But in this game, Wasteland collides with Mario's world. So the plot: Mario and Luigi are told Peach has been captured, so they go to the castle to get her back, only to find out it was a trick from bowser. He cages them, and he explains that he can't ever rule this universe cause of the bros so he has to go rule another one. Then he opens up a multiverse portal, and out comes the Blot. It completely destroys the castle, sending Mario flying back to Peach's place, and he has no clue where Luigi is. Fast forward a month later, and the Blot has supreme control of the place. All of Bowser's goons are now blot versions of their past selves, and Mario has to keep a wrench with him at all times to be able to defeat any that come his way. He also now wears a hat made out of scrap metal that resembles his old one, his outfit is faded and dirty, etc. So he's out looking for Luigi, and then he gets cornered. When he thinks he's toast, Mickey comes in clutch and saves him. The two then team up to restore both worlds. In the game, you can swap between Mickey and Mario. Mickey has his same abilities as usual, but this time his left arm can turn into a shield/sword, due to part of the blot touching him. Mario can throw his metal hat like a frisbee for distance damage, and has his wrench for close counters. He can also fix things. After beating a bit of Mario's world, the player could get the ability to travel between Mickey and Mario's universe, and possibly even get other characters to play as. What do you think? Was gonna do this at the start of the year but the place I used to code couldn't handle it. I do intend to be a game dev in the future, and if I'm ever successful in that path, I genuinely want to pitch this idea to Disney and Nintendo and see if it can happen.
I’m saying it now: Rerelease it as a collection, Switch, Xbox, PS4 and PS5, PC, the collection would be: Epic Mickey, Epic Mickey 2, and Epic Mickey Power of Illusion Release that, see how people react, if it’s good, then Disney should just have somebody make the third Obviously Disney can’t anymore, they closed that part of the company near the end of Disney Infinity 3.0, so just outsource it to someone who can make it on par the games All I want is a third game, especially due to how short 2 is, even if you do the side stuff
An Epic Mickey 3 that begins right after 2 would be perfect and I still have hope that someone will make it. My idea is that the Pete's try to take over the wasteland and find a way to take Pete's from other places threw wasteland rifts AKA "Epic Mickey 3 The Rifts of Wasteland" In that game the Pete's corrupt Mickey and it's up to Ozwald to save the wasteland.
Epic Mickey was a great game to play and after finishing the second game I started to hunt down the third game but only to realize it was not made. I am very displeased and disappointed with Disney shutting down the studio and causing this great game series to come to a cliff hanger. I thought that the cliff hanger at the end was leading to part two of the second game but there was nothing to be found. I would gladly pay for Epic Mickey 3 so that I could get a proper story and see the cartoon world and not just mickeys house. The detail and work put into this Trilogy was a work of magic with the music. Bringing in Fantasia 2000 for the second game really hooked me since Fantasia 2000, as a personal opinion, had some of the best music I have heard.
@@lanibird2182 Nope. The ABE lines are taken out of context. With the context it is 100% clear that Storm Blot is the Blot that comes out of the bottle. It's not a mistake either. Warren used that name in the artbook and Chase Jones said that it was a nickname for the Blot given by the people of Wasteland.
If that Epic Donald game would have happened, that one would have been a quite a hit over here Finland, probably (or in Europe in general, also in Brazil too). E: The Disney Princess trapped inside of a mirror in that one concept art is Snow White actually, not Sleeping Beauty.
Small addendum/correction to this video: Warren Spector doesn't like sequels. He leaves enough room to make them possible, but he doesn't do them himself. Back at Ion Storm Austin he worked on Deus Ex and when it was time for Deaus Ex 2: Invisible War he gave the project to Harvey Smith (now CEO of Arkane Studios). Same goes for Epic Mickey. Warren made Epic Mickey with Chase Jones and when it was time for Epic Mickey 2, he let Chase do the whole project. Warren himself was a huge DuckTales fan. In his first meeting with Disney Warren asked for Donald, Scrooge, and his nephews. But Graham Hopper (Disney Interactive Studios CEO) wanted a Mickey Mouse game (they already had a prototype for their game). So Warren took the iconic mouse and made Epic Mickey. But as soon as Warren was done with that, he started to work on DuckTales. He produced the DuckTales comic book series (2011) published by Boom! Studios, while Chase was making Epic Mickey 2. And he also pitched Epic Donald right after Epic Mickey (1) release. But about a month before the Epic Mickey (1) release Disney resturctured their video games division. They decided to close Graham Hoppers Disney Interactive Studios and replaced them with Playdom (for 763 million dollars). So by the time Epic Mickey got released Hopper (the only Disney higher-up on Warrens side) was gone. Warren had a new boss from that point on: John Peasants. John closed all Disney video game studios that worked on normal console games (Propaganda Games, Black Rock Studios and so on) one or two month after the Epic Mickey release. The only reason Junction Point wasn't shut down at that point, was because some analyst said Epic Mickey 2 could be profitable if it will be released till autumn 2012. So Disney threw money at Junction Point and forced them to double their size (just to work faster). They had about 110 people for Epic Mickey 1. For Epic Mickey 2 they ramped up to 200 normal employes + 100 in external studios around the world. All those people just had the job to finish Epic Mickey 2 as fast as they can and Warren had to fire them right after. He knew that for month but wasn't leagaly allowed to tell them. Disney/Playdom never had plans for Epic Mickey 3. The only reason for the Epic Mickey 3 artwork and design plans were the two month spare time Disney gave Warren to shut down the studio.
Though we never got an Epic Mickey 3, I am certain we have the EM series to thank for Oswald getting his well-deserved spotlight, to the point he's gotten his own short (the Holiday-themed video greetings card), cameos in various Disney shorts (Get a Horse and the Mickey Mouse Shorts) and even a few in the more recent movies (Big Hero 6 and Zootopia). Disney got the rights back for Oswald in 2006 but without Epic Mickey we may never have seen anything come of it.

I think given the news of the remake of the first one, I would have Warren Spector gain a second chance in finishing the Epic Mickey story. However, the biggest change in this would be have Epic Mickey 2 merge story elements with its handheld Spinoff story and give Oswald a slight chance to meet the Disney Family trapped in Wasteland through the Castle of Illusion. Then go into the third game and giving Warren Spector full control in wrapping the story up the way he intended.
I got a story that I came up with within epic mickey 3 Mickey and Oswald had just got to Ortensia's house to stay for a bit before Mickey went back to his world. Meanwhile, the Mad Doctor (or "Doc") was at Blot Alley speaking to Ian about the spatters and sweepers. Doc wanted to bring back something mischievous that could destroy wasteland and destroy Mickey's world. It so happens that he needs all the Blotlings to make the big monster. Mickey, Oswald, Ortensia, and Gus haven't heard what Doc was bound to do. Resurrecting the Blot would take years to do so. Just as Gremlin Prescott got his memory back, he was bailed out of Big Bad Pete's Prison. Prescott was going to check out what Doc was doing. Just as he heard what he was doing, he headed to OsTown to tell Mickey, Oswald, Ortensia, and Gus about the news. A couple of years of attempting to stop Doc but failing, doc was starting to become more of an animatronic than a toon. He was still working until finally, the Phantom Blot was resurrected. It was bound to turn the 4 heros to stone and grab Mickey's heart and head up to Mickey's World. Mickey, Oswald, Ortensia and Gus were watching DNN about the resurrected blot. They had to act fast. The blot was now made of other Blotlings from spatters to sweepers to slobbers. Mickey had to thin out the Blotlings making the blot. Oswald, and Gus had to distract the blot. Ortensia had to watch the DNN to get more info about the blot and Doc's plan. Yen Sid also heard the news just watching the world. He needed a new brush, just like Mickey's brush. He started using alchemy. Over down at Wasteland, the blot was still growing, more higher to reach Yen Sid's Lab. When the blot entered, Yen Sid was trying his best to cool it down and turn it into a Blotling that Ian can babysit. When the blot had shrunk, things went back to normal. The people in wasteland were happy and relieved. No one were hurt, just some toons almost turning to a blotling.
The Epic Mickey series was my childhood, and when I tried to get Epic Mickey 2 for the Wii again, I could never find it, so I had to get it on Steam for my pc
I love epic mickey 2 I don’t understand why people don’t like it btw did you know from a lime said in the game of epic mickey 2 there is a hint to a concept at may have been brought back for epic mickey 3 this is it “but what mickey didn’t know was there was a bigger blot a storm blot” the storm blot was a unused concept for epic mickey 1 basically the concept was the blot fuses with oswald and creates the storm blot let’s just say the concept art is crazy I see why they did not do it but that line being in epic mickey 2 must mean at they thought of bring the storm blot back in epic mickey 3 maybe the petes would have brought back the blot and it would fuse with oswald so who knows if somewhere in Disney’s archives there might be a storm blot model even if unfinished probably could be made complete because modern day tech would probably make the model getting completed much faster so if epic Mickey comes back into existence then I hope they make a storm blot model

My idea is that the Pete's try to take over the wasteland and find a way to take Pete's from other places threw wasteland rifts AKA "Epic Mickey 3 The Rifts of Wasteland" In that game the Pete's corrupt Mickey and it's up to Ozwald to save the wasteland.
Hey now that Epic Mickey Rebrushed is happening, maybe they'll do that for the 2nd game and maybe...consider releasing that 3rd installment

Epic Mickey was a great game to play and after finishing the second game I started to hunt down the third game but only to realize it was not made. I am very displeased and disappointed with Disney shutting down the studio and causing this great game series to come to a cliff hanger. I thought that the cliff hanger at the end was leading to part two of the second game but there was nothing to be found. I would gladly pay for Epic Mickey 3 so that I could get a proper story and see the cartoon world and not just mickeys house. The detail and work put into this Trilogy was a work of magic with the music. Bringing in Fantasia 2000 for the second game really hooked me since Fantasia 2000, as a personal opinion, had some of the best music I have heard.

Just want to note, Storm Blot does refer to a specific Blot. It's just a nickname for The Blot. This is confirmed from other lines spoken by ABE.

@@lanibird2182 Nope. The ABE lines are taken out of context. With the context it is 100% clear that Storm Blot is the Blot that comes out of the bottle. It's not a mistake either. Warren used that name in the artbook and Chase Jones said that it was a nickname for the Blot given by the people of Wasteland.
The music for the Blot diorama is called "TRT Storm Blot" as well.

Small addendum/correction to this video:
Warren Spector doesn't like sequels. He leaves enough room to make them possible, but he doesn't do them himself. Back at Ion Storm Austin he worked on Deus Ex and when it was time for Deaus Ex 2: Invisible War he gave the project to Harvey Smith (now CEO of Arkane Studios). Same goes for Epic Mickey. Warren made Epic Mickey with Chase Jones and when it was time for Epic Mickey 2, he let Chase do the whole project.
Warren himself was a huge DuckTales fan. In his first meeting with Disney Warren asked for Donald, Scrooge, and his nephews. But Graham Hopper (Disney Interactive Studios CEO) wanted a Mickey Mouse game (they already had a prototype for their game). So Warren took the iconic mouse and made Epic Mickey. But as soon as Warren was done with that, he started to work on DuckTales. He produced the DuckTales comic book series (2011) published by Boom! Studios, while Chase was making Epic Mickey 2. And he also pitched Epic Donald right after Epic Mickey (1) release.
But about a month before the Epic Mickey (1) release Disney resturctured their video games division. They decided to close Graham Hoppers Disney Interactive Studios and replaced them with Playdom (for 763 million dollars). So by the time Epic Mickey got released Hopper (the only Disney higher-up on Warrens side) was gone. Warren had a new boss from that point on: John Peasants. John closed all Disney video game studios that worked on normal console games (Propaganda Games, Black Rock Studios and so on) one or two month after the Epic Mickey release. The only reason Junction Point wasn't shut down at that point, was because some analyst said Epic Mickey 2 could be profitable if it will be released till autumn 2012. So Disney threw money at Junction Point and forced them to double their size (just to work faster). They had about 110 people for Epic Mickey 1. For Epic Mickey 2 they ramped up to 200 normal employes + 100 in external studios around the world. All those people just had the job to finish Epic Mickey 2 as fast as they can and Warren had to fire them right after. He knew that for month but wasn't leagaly allowed to tell them. Disney/Playdom never had plans for Epic Mickey 3. The only reason for the Epic Mickey 3 artwork and design plans were the two month spare time Disney gave Warren to shut down the studio.
Though we never got an Epic Mickey 3, I am certain we have the EM series to thank for Oswald getting his well-deserved spotlight, to the point he's gotten his own short (the Holiday-themed video greetings card), cameos in various Disney shorts (Get a Horse and the Mickey Mouse Shorts) and even a few in the more recent movies (Big Hero 6 and Zootopia). Disney got the rights back for Oswald in 2006 but without Epic Mickey we may never have seen anything come of it.
Actually we did get one but it's not called Epic Mickey 3. It's called Power of Illusion.

I think given the news of the remake of the first one, I would have Warren Spector gain a second chance in finishing the Epic Mickey story. However, the biggest change in this would be have Epic Mickey 2 merge story elements with its handheld Spinoff story and give Oswald a slight chance to meet the Disney Family trapped in Wasteland through the Castle of Illusion. Then go into the third game and giving Warren Spector full control in wrapping the story up the way he intended.
I got a story that I came up with within epic mickey 3
Mickey and Oswald had just got to Ortensia's house to stay for a bit before Mickey went back to his world. Meanwhile, the Mad Doctor (or "Doc") was at Blot Alley speaking to Ian about the spatters and sweepers. Doc wanted to bring back something mischievous that could destroy wasteland and destroy Mickey's world. It so happens that he needs all the Blotlings to make the big monster. Mickey, Oswald, Ortensia, and Gus haven't heard what Doc was bound to do. Resurrecting the Blot would take years to do so. Just as Gremlin Prescott got his memory back, he was bailed out of Big Bad Pete's Prison. Prescott was going to check out what Doc was doing. Just as he heard what he was doing, he headed to OsTown to tell Mickey, Oswald, Ortensia, and Gus about the news. A couple of years of attempting to stop Doc but failing, doc was starting to become more of an animatronic than a toon. He was still working until finally, the Phantom Blot was resurrected. It was bound to turn the 4 heros to stone and grab Mickey's heart and head up to Mickey's World. Mickey, Oswald, Ortensia and Gus were watching DNN about the resurrected blot. They had to act fast. The blot was now made of other Blotlings from spatters to sweepers to slobbers. Mickey had to thin out the Blotlings making the blot. Oswald, and Gus had to distract the blot. Ortensia had to watch the DNN to get more info about the blot and Doc's plan. Yen Sid also heard the news just watching the world. He needed a new brush, just like Mickey's brush. He started using alchemy. Over down at Wasteland, the blot was still growing, more higher to reach Yen Sid's Lab. When the blot entered, Yen Sid was trying his best to cool it down and turn it into a Blotling that Ian can babysit. When the blot had shrunk, things went back to normal. The people in wasteland were happy and relieved. No one were hurt, just some toons almost turning to a blotling.
The Epic Mickey series was my childhood, and when I tried to get Epic Mickey 2 for the Wii again, I could never find it, so I had to get it on Steam for my pc

I love epic mickey 2 I don’t understand why people don’t like it btw did you know from a lime said in the game of epic mickey 2 there is a hint to a concept at may have been brought back for epic mickey 3 this is it “but what mickey didn’t know was there was a bigger blot a storm blot” the storm blot was a unused concept for epic mickey 1 basically the concept was the blot fuses with oswald and creates the storm blot let’s just say the concept art is crazy I see why they did not do it but that line being in epic mickey 2 must mean at they thought of bring the storm blot back in epic mickey 3 maybe the petes would have brought back the blot and it would fuse with oswald so who knows if somewhere in Disney’s archives there might be a storm blot model even if unfinished probably could be made complete because modern day tech would probably make the model getting completed much faster so if epic Mickey comes back into existence then I hope they make a storm blot model
