@@ivanolsen8596 The only diatribe I can see are your comments.Advance Australia Fair was written in Australia in the late 19th century and many of the lyrics reflected the sentiments of that time.Today only two stanzas are ever sung while the other three were in praise of the British Empire and have rightly been discarded. These two stanzas are truly reflective of Australian sentiments. They extol the virtues and wonder of living in such a free and open society and the idea of fair treatment for all without calling on a god to intercede on our behalf but to be open to all who wish to call Australia home.Do you wish for an anthem pleading to god to save the monarch with the implication that the devil take the rest (British ) or the New Zealand and Canadian one that also begs the deity to bless them all ( a great leap forward from the British ). Maybe the French and Chinese who declare death and mayhem to all who appose their will ( the Chinese being the Chinese stole that idea from the French but of course without the stirring music ) or finally the American anthem which declare their superiority in all things, where only perfection reigns due to the uniqueness of American patriotism. I love The Seekers and Judith Durham so I was all set to not like this version before I even heard it but now that I have given a listen I love this version as well. Well done mam!
This is one my favorite pieces of music. This was not written until a decade or more after my time in the NT of Australia back in the 70s. This is just great for my memories.
I’m English, but during the late fifties we were due to emigrate to Australia as Dad had managed to get a good job in Sydney after spending time there during the war. . Due to a few hitches we never got there. My late Mum always told me I was destined a to be an Aussie. I’m getting old now but regret never becoming an Aussie. I love this song - it should be the National Anthem. Before I die, I would dearly love to visit that wonderful country. I’ve always loved ‘The Seekers’ and they made the U.K. a better place by their musical talent which I remember so well during the 1960s. I love the words: “came from many lands”. That applies to so many countries. We always thought we were English but, family research, and an extensive DNA tests, show we were, hundreds of years ago, originally from Russia and Scandinavia and Scotland. There you go! I still want to be Australian!
She is fantastic and I feel have alot in common with Australians and they should be a proud nation their amazing people . I am a proud Rhodesian and many friends went there when the proud people of Rhodesia were forced to flee africa .Sadly I ended up in the Uk . I saw the good times come
I'm a bushie, I'm a battler
I am Australian
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We'll share a dream and sing with one voice
"I am, you are, we are Australian"
I'm a teller of stories
I'm a singer of songs
I am Albert Namatjira
And I paint the ghostly gums
I'm Clancy on his horse
I'm Ned Kelly on the run
I'm the one who waltzed Matilda
I am Australian
I'm the hot wind from the desert
I'm the black soil of the plains
I'm the mountains and the valleys
I'm the drought and flooding rains
I am the rock, I am the sky
The rivers when they run
The spirit of this great land
I am Australian
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We'll share a dream and sing with one voice
"I am, you are, we are Australian"
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We'll share a dream and sing with one voice
"I am, you are, we are Australian"
"I am, you are, we are Australian"
What a fabulous song. Always proud for Australia.
Surprising this is a great version of The Seekers anthem. Her expressiveness only adds to her performance. Thanks Andie
Wonderful voice 👍❤️
What a fantastic song performed by an Angel voice! How I wished my country had a song like this!
I think I am in love with Mirusia
I am Irish and this is the first time I have heard this song. It sounds like a powerful; and emotional national song.
Should be our National Anthem

You need to hear The Seekers version. Much better.
Australian with Irish ancestry.
I love The Seekers and Judith Durham so I was all set to not like this version before I even heard it but now that I have given a listen I love this version as well. Well done mam!

Seen video’s where André announces Mirusia sings like an angel. So, so true... Lovely song. God bless Australia!!
Such a proud song sung by the most beautiful and talented MIRUSIA!!! Love you, Girl!!!
I hope that you get there before you pass. Good tidings.
She is fantastic and I feel have alot in common with Australians and they should be a proud nation their amazing people . I am a proud Rhodesian and many friends went there when the proud people of Rhodesia were forced to flee africa .Sadly I ended up in the Uk . I love this song and Mirusia is amazing could listen to her all day , her parents must be very proud . Andreu Rieu is amazing as well would love to see them both live in concert .
Couldn't be bloody prouder. Wish this was our national anthem, reflects everything myself and all mates are.
Why cant we all start a movement so when we become a republic, make this our national anthem. And move australia day to january 1st. Or institute a Federation Day on Jan1 because thats when all the seperate colonies became ONE couñtry Australia.
@@kerrinorourke5914 it's a little too long to be our national anthem although I agree it would be the best choice. But could you imagine singing this before the footy. It would be halftime before the song is over.
I love you Mirusia
Judith Durham did this beautifully, of course. This is also magic. And I am a Kiwi. Kids and Grandchildren in Melbourne though. This is the most wonderful song ever. Take a bow the Seekers.

This is the best Australian song ever. And our girl sings it with pride . Very proud of Mirusia beautiful voice
Awesome. I am not an Aussie but even so it sort of makes me proud.
Gratuluję i dziękuję. Jan
Big voice, big lungs...exceptional talent.
The history of a country in a beautiful song.
I love Maruisa! Love her voice. Everything she sings has me in awe. So thank you. This song is a very reminder that she is Austrailia!
