This is exactly why I got an XL work truck 3.3 regular cab long bed two wheel drive really good feel economy and feels like a car but can haul like a truck
We ended up getting a 2022 XL for our company where we deliver and install appliances. Loved the one with the two seats and the massive amount of room at the back. Hopefully it will make for a good work truck. It’s in the name of our company too!
I've got a 2018 model just like this, only an xlt with a few more options. Personally I think this is the best engine option if you don't have heavy towing to do. I've been very happy with my truck.
I have a 2014 f150 and it didn’t come with a bottle opener, but it has done me well , just as did my 2006 , both I bought new , so I’m sure I’ll buy yet another one
Ordered the same optioned truck in Atlas blue with 3.73 locking diff. Needed vinyl seats because I'm always covered in grease and dirt. Only way to get them was to order an xl and add options. Great truck!!!
The ultimate work truck...I have had relations with more than a few. Ultimate work trucks. 60's 70's 80's 90's 00's 10's & nows. You didn't mention the tow hooks up front.
In my opinion its the way to go. Get the supercrew cab and sync 4. All you need. Then take it to your local shop and put 20s on it, lift it, upgrade upholstery, boom. Got yourself a nice truck
Did they fix the massive rust issues from the 2021 on nearly all the major underbody components (diffs, axels, frame, etc…)? Those area matter a lot more than the body panels.
Why the hell did they get rid of the door that pops up to cover the passenger dash storage area??? I'm pissed because I have an XL on order and had no idea the got rid of the push button pop up door on the 2022 XL
One other interesting feature while vehicle is running and your foot is on the brake put vehicle and drive and watch what happens when you open the door the vehicle will automatically put the vehicle back into park by itself
wont outlast a well maintained Tacoma, cant decide between a single cab 5.0 or a Tacoma, only reason im on the fence about it is because i think a tacoma can reach 400k miles with good care
This is my dream truck but I could not get the same one on dealer. Why not it’s not available? This is the one I want. My choice is 4wd, standard bed, v6 engine, 23 mile highway
Thanks for this video. I’m looking for a truck just like this but I need the V8 5.0L engine and I need the full size door in the back with more room for passengers in the back
But you are going to give up bed length. 5'6" vs 6'6" which in my opinion is the whole reason to buy a truck. How often do you plan on having full size adults ride in back?
Not sure if you're still in the market for one of these but I'm here to tell you as a 6 foot male the rear bench on extended cab models is plenty comfortable (given that you don't ride back there for 4 hours and also if your front passenger shows some generosity)
I’ve started doing that BUT almost every truck is different depending on package and trim. So you can’t really compare apples to apples with a truck on your local lot.
I have two f150's, 1997 & 2019. While installing a Roush CAI on the 19, it was still running when I popped the hood, I was surprised to see a "Hood Ajar" indication. With that said, WTF can't they put a "Tail Gate Ajar" or "Tail Gate Down" indication. I have tonneau covers on both and on more than a few occasions I left "contents" on the ground. I figure since they spent the time to let me know what's going on in front of me, how about letting me know what I can't see. Also, luv my engine compartment light on the 97.
Did anyone notice that in a severe frontal crash , you can not exit from the back seat , you are trapped in the vehicle, what a goofy design, does anyone think anymore, if driver is unable to exit either are you
Cloth seats in a pick up truck suck if you actually use it for work. They stain, fade, wear, tear and trap dirt and look like worn out shit in a few years. With a quick wipe down my vinyl seats look brand new after years of being subjected to mud, grease, sawdust, dogs, etc.
This is exactly why I got an XL work truck 3.3 regular cab long bed two wheel drive really good feel economy and feels like a car but can haul like a truck
Best of both worlds!
Nice! That's the setup I'm looking for. What kinda mpg do you get on the highway? I saw one guy on RUclips get 26mpg on a highway test loop.

Good choice!
Obviously when comparing this to a 2002 F-150, this is luxury. It’s cool to see how far these have come.
I completely agree!

They are pretty neat!
Ordered the same optioned truck in Atlas blue with 3.73 locking diff. Needed vinyl seats because I'm always covered in grease and dirt. Only way to get them was to order an xl and add options. Great truck!!!
Sweet choice!
It’s definitely a nice truck
I can’t help but want one with the Stx appearance package…
STX is probably the best bang for your buck in this price level!

Exactly what I did
Yeah then you don't have a practical work truck anymore. What u have buddy is a grocery hauler
@@kylegroth3199 that sounds terrible
Perfect setup without all the unnessary bells and whisles.
I agree!

Not on the body being aluminum, frame i'm not sure!
Just got the new 2023 f150 xl. Worth it!
Good choice!
Great Video....I have an XL supercrew hybrid 4X4 on order.......I hate consoles......love the vinyl 6 pass seats!!!!!
Nice, Good choice!

Not sure!
@@DeLoEnterprises maybe so people like me have to step up to the XLT
Mine is on order too I didn't know that iether
@@alanswanson1952 yeah it's ridiculous but what can you do. It's wasted space now in my opinion
Thank you for posting I am buying one based on this video.
Hope you enjoy it!
What was the engine spec? Did he cover it? What's the time marker?
I believe it’s on the window sticker!
I hear that engine still has the internal water pump? Did they fix that flaw
I don't think so as of now!
The F150 has an external water pump so that is not a problem.
C Channel cutouts? What are they?
Not on XL
just got yesterday ued 2021 f150 xl 4x4 with 8 feet bed it look great and fast. i pre-order 2022 tundra but i ended f150
Nice choice!
All the truck you'll need.
100%
She's a beauty
I think so too!
One other interesting feature while vehicle is running and your foot is on the brake put vehicle and drive and watch what happens when you open the door the vehicle will automatically put the vehicle back into park by itself
Pretty cool safety feature!
Not for those who’ve got to go through a bunch of farm gates.

It's a pretty good deal IMO.
Does it have lane centering on the xl?
mine does f150 XL 2021
Depending on chip availability, it can come with it!
the tailgate automatically goes down?! These new f150's even come with gravity!!
It's an assisted release!
@@DeLoEnterprises I get those from ur girl

@@alanswanson1952 you can get a 4 door with the 6 1/2 foot bed. your not limited with the 5 1/2.

2022 Ford F-150 XL SuperCab 4X4
Yes
(Don’t have to worry about rust) actually yes u do the frame, will rust
Yes, I was implying body rust!
Exactly the truck I wanna get. 😁😎
It's a great value!
My grandpa has one of these and he can’t figure out how to adjust the seat height
Should be a leaver on the side push down for doing pull up for up.
You forgot the most important details people need to know
Payload and towing for the specific truck
I’ve started doing that BUT almost every truck is different depending on package and trim. So you can’t really compare apples to apples with a truck on your local lot.
What is the name of this body
color
I'm not 100% but I think it's a silver metallic!

Yeah I thought that was weird, maybe it's a Chip shortage issue!
Nice truck
Sure is
If it came with a manual it would be perfect.
No more manuals
They haven't made a manual F-150 in like 20 years
Did anyone notice that in a severe frontal crash , you can not exit from the back seat , you are trapped in the vehicle, what a goofy design, does anyone think anymore, if driver is unable to exit either are you
You could exit the passenger side!
Vinal seats suck! Hot in the summer cold in the winter! And they will crack eventually
Tint on the windows would help with heat!

All-aluminum body is a nightmare for auto body repair men; its not workable like steel. All the narration without telling us how long the bed is.
I e been told that!
Swap the engine for the 5.0 V8 and then your talking
Perfect!
Keanu
okay!
DONT SLAM OPEN THE TRUNCK
LOL!
I was out at 42k work truck
It's pretty loaded for an XL, plus good luck getting a base model with as many features for less than 40K
