Tacticon Description:
The Tacticon BattleVest Lite was designed with a minimalistic approach to save weight and increase mobility of the user. This lightweight low-profile plate carrier vest design weighs in at only 1.5 lbs. and is built to last with 500 D laminated nylon as the principal ingredient in the manufacturing process. The BattleVest Lite plate carrier has 360-degree laser-cut PALS coverage that will accept all MOLLE compatible accessories. The laser-cut design is an improvement from the traditional MOLLE grid in that it not only lightens the unit, but it also increases the strength and longevity of the plate carrier vest. With no sewn MOLLE loops there is less of a propensity of failure and minimal likelihood of your accessories and equipment catching on this vest design. The BattleVest Lite lightweight plate carrier also features fully adjustable hypalon shoulder straps, hook-and-loop web sections for ID panels and can accommodate 8”x10” and 10”x12” ballistic plates.
a true budget plate carrier is duct taping the plate onto your chest with carboard inbetween
be a man.
This………some funny shit bro.
I mean. Technically yes. Am I going to do this bull I understand PCs enough to buy one? Also yes.
Ahh yes, the old tactical sandwich board.
For somebody who may never need to wear or use it, I think the package from Tacticon is perfect. That vest and two plates for $150 on sale. Just bought it so YT is suggesting all these videos for me now, lol.
Not if you cant fit a damn plate in it
@@evanbrunelle3466 who can't fit a plate? I have a plate with the kevlar sleeves over them and it fits.
@@MissingLinkMTBhow long did it take to get to you I ordered the kit about a week ago
@@BobRoss-lo4dp I wanna say maybe two weeks, but I was deployed when I ordered it
This is pretty much how I figured this review would go. Great video and good for you on your honesty. Not that you're not normally. But there's very few of us left that will actually shit on a product that was given to us. Seems to be pretty low quality for even a budget item. Again, great review.
Thanks man!
I have a Tacticon belt. It’s okay. Not overly impressive. I wouldn’t buy a PC from them.
@@leifhoklin2681 Tacticon sent me an LPVO to review. It was okay. But then they went and doubled their prices in order to have a Black Friday sale, and I took my review down. I have nothing positive to say about the company.
Another good video! Seems they’ve made some improvements on this since this video.
I bought mine with the Tacticon plates and trauma pads and they fit perfectly. Not too tight by any means.
I am averaged sized, not the biggest guy in the world, but I’m not the smallest. I am physically fit And I don’t carry any extra body fat. To me this carrier is very comfortable and has been adjusted perfectly for my body type. I don’t need any type of padding or offset on the inside.
agreed...6'4'' 180lbs...comfort and fit is fine after a little adjustment
Dude love your channel. The content is always quality and relevant. You cater to the budget minded and the high Ender's as well. Not to mention quality uppers.A++++!
Thanks sir!
Great review and with your true approach towards looking at how it does what it is supposed to do especially based on the value much less the experience. Wouldn’t hurt vendors to see where they have some identified issues that can be addressed
They were actually very receptive to the video.
I have the 5.11 TACTEC, it’s awesome for CrossFit but not suitable for everyday running as it gains a lot of attention. I have this plate carrier, and it’s not taking too much space under my sweater. Last thing, I resorted to using a rubber banding surrounding the edges of the 10x12 plate to avoid them from sinking into my skin.
I have their elite vest and it fits me great , seems to be made well . Its not like we will be wearing in combat for long periods of time in a war here .
If we ever get to that point , thats why you loot all the better stuff off the corpse you leave behind😂
Chances are some with better gear will be the one looting your corpse... But uh yeah the Tarkov logic can apply 😂
The better trained!!! @@anonymouse7394
@@anonymouse7394training is far superior to gear
Condor already has this covered.
I go for potentially concealable plate/carriers because, I'm a civilian now, having that exposed is basically never going to be the best idea.
For most applications having some concealability is a good idea.
Garbage carrier. If the belly strap handle rips apart by simply using it, how can you expect the shoulder straps to hold up when they're made out of the same material and actually bearing weight?
not sure if it is the same matterial but it does look similar.
Buy and modify. That's how us prepared poor roll.
I've heard the same quality complaints (stitching coming out, etc) about their belts unfortunately, and their pistol lights apparently have some issues too... A shame really.
I have heard good things about the belts, I hope they switch to a better manufacturing process.
For me its not the stitching, they use a really sharp laser on their lasercut and the edges come up. I just ran a lighter around all the edges and it works decently, probably gonna replace it with HSGI soon
False advertising?@@fulltangtactical
@@fulltangtacticalwhat is the false advertising you’re referencing?
Great informative video as always. Are you driving a Challenger during the driving portion?
Thanks! Charger.
Great video. I like the honest review
Have you or are you interested in doing a review on their 1-6 lpvo? I'd love to see your take on that.
Possibly.
Appreciate the review. Would you recommend this or the LAPG Low Vis, given their similar layout?
Lapg is lighter and less modular. This is a little bit more modular but not in my favorite ways. I like the lapg low vis a little more.
Man, you really ought to try out whiskey two four. Seems like a good option for soft goods
ok fine. I will get their plate carrier 13.
@@FocusTripp lol don't do me any favors or anything.
@@feetoorourke oh I won't
Some days you just need to post things that are so ubiquitously commonplace even when that item falls apart in your hands as you use it. Hopefully the stitching lasts long enough for the armor to be in place when you take fire.
Wut no badass intro
not for this video sir.
I love my Tacticon body armor along with all the scopes and red dots I have ran over the years and yes I love the duty belt as well they sell good kit for a good price!!!!!! and that's not quite the kit I have mine looks way better
glad it has worked well for you.
They just had these on sale with level 3+ plates for 150. I don't think that can be beat. For what it is. I think they been stepping up there game past few months. Guess time will tell.
good value for sure.
@@FocusTripp I thought so. I been back and forth for a year now almost on a couple different items they have and def back and forth on there elite plate carrier set up and had it in my cart a few times and said naw ill wait. Lol. Then this popped up for 150 for everything and I said well screw it not the one I want but for 150 it will do the job I think.
@m.od.3116 how's it going now?
Their Quality control and materials since covid went down hill. Purchased a 3 mag pouch, returned it and got the replacement. Both times pouches stitched so small. AR mag wouldn't fit. I'll buy a chest rig from RTS instead...
that sucks to hear...
@@greatape5174 stretch it all you Want sir. When 2 fingers is the limit is made defective. Boil it if you like…
Ubiquitous comment.
Would like to see your opinions on budget AR-15 muzzle devices. Especially if broken down by type (flash hider, muzzle brake/comp, suppressor mount, hybrid)
Maybe someday!
This video still getting comments and views! Favorite Lowe vis / concealable carrier is???
? LAPG Low vis.
@@FocusTripp just thought it was cool to see this video amongst many others of yours still getting so much interaction. Love what you do, appreciate it, and the fact that you actually reply. You da man!
@@FocusTripp Have you heard of the OTTE Gear PC yet?
@@ROOSTER-ql5fs Not until just now.
I really enjoy the kangaroo pouch 🤙🏼good for intel and misc things
Can you compare the vortex holographic UH-1 Gen 2 & sig sauer Romeo 8 - Red dot/holograph sights? Very interested in the size comparisons. Maybe even the EO Tech.
Yes I can :)
Awesome man, I’ve been looking at the Romeo 8 for a couple weeks. I like the window size but just not sure how chunky it is.
@@b_doc6142 oh it's chunky, btw, if you want one send me an email, I can get you dealer pricing on one.
Those are aftermarket parts ?
Great video.
Thanks!
My money dont jiggle jiggle, it flows
Serious question: what are “pontoons”? What am I looking for? I have this carrier and looking to make it more comfortable.
Basically they are padding between the carrier and your body that increase air flow and can make it more comfortable
Isn't the shoulder straps the same material as that handle you ripped?
Good question
Is that material connecting the shoulder straps the same as what ripped off the Cumberbund?
it feels similar, but not sure.
Soon as i saw the rip 😮
Any recommendations on a 8x10 plate carrier other than crye jpc? Im not made of $ and I just need something affordable. I'm currently using Tactical Scorpion Gear 8x10 level 3 plus in an Amazon plate carrier for air soft and the plates are not really snug!
whiskey two four plate carrier 13. the PC by itself is only $100 and comes in all the sizes you need.
@@FocusTripp thanks bro 🙏
How you doing?! (In Joey Accent) Have you done a video on Medical equipment for the range? Is there a budget brand that is good or is it all guchie med gear? I always got the best from the lowest bidder in my time with the Military. :)
I don't reccomend budget medial. I carry a couple TQs per person and then some other odds and ends when I am out at the range.
I went straight to the comments and found significant quantities of ubiquity.
I have this exact carrier, havent experienced those pullhandles on the cummerbund ripping, then again I run QD/Quick release on the one side of it so I havent lifted the front flap up much since I installed them. It's a decent quality plate carrier, but maybe not one for heavy use.
EDIT: Also I only ended up getting the tacticon carrier due to me needing to replace the carrier I had before it which was basically a knock-off crye JPC 1.0 from Rothco(the actual name from rothco currently eludes me and the current model of it is nothing like the one I bought back in like 2018)
it's definitely a light use PC, I wouldn't except it to hold up to years of abuse.

something so ubiquitously commonplace. there, i won!
Love the car, Scat Pak or Hellcat?
Just the SRT
For a said Veteran owned Company some of there products are Laking and nock off and not made in the US. That vest looks like it wouldn't make the fitting let alone use IJS. That plate carrier is a NO GO! And kind of said that a a veteran would even sell this.
Have you tried the V2 or the Elite? If so, what do you think about those?
I have not.

Hello, I'm a tactical glove manufacturer, your video is very good, are you interested in testing gloves?
Ubiquitous? How sesquipedalian.
Where's the intro?
hiding.
The banal mundanity of discourse below has only furthered my ennui.
Am I doing it right, sensei?
yes
I am so poor that I cannot even afford a Tacticon Armament plate carrier. I will gladly take hand me downs if anybody has one to donate preferably one for a 6'2" 260lbs guy whatever that size would be
What's the thickness on your plate ?
a little bit under 1 inch.
Watch out brother, riding around with a plate carrier after what happened in 🦬. Don’t get taken for a bad guy.
No kidding dawg, I have had some awkward cop encounters.
I'd say so especially in Washington state.
Especially if you're on the Westside, they don't like us gun guys over there lol.
