In despite of my 150/165 kg Bodyweight and overfood etc etc i never exceed 145/200...but i beginn to late W-L at 22 years (after 9 years in P-L !!!!) My 145 snatch was in Split style loool and my clean was an horrible quarter squat ....lonely my jerk is beautiful. (Evidence than Bench press never give a bad jerk...its à legend)
Most Chinese weightlifters start about 12, but some do start younger. You can start as young as you like because it's just more time to be learning the skill. The strength comes in the teens.

Keep your pelvic floor contracted as you brace for the lift, make sure you are expelling some air as you ascend
