  • In May 2022 we made a journey through the Western Isles (chronicled at Hebridean Odyssey). The islands captured our hearts.
We returned to the Isles of Lewis, Harris, Berneray and North Uist in May 2024, this time with friends who experienced these beautiful, remote places for the first time.
This video documents our visit to the Isle of Berneray, our stay on the Isle of North Uist - and a whistle stop trip to Benbecula, South Uist and Eriskay. Same places, new places, different perspectives.

If you were up there on May 10th, perhaps you caught the Northern Lights which were particularly vivid on that evening? Those islands are so beautiful they need no embellishment from Northern Lights or anything else. 😀

Dear Christina M and your second best half in one hat,
It's a pity, it's a pity that your second visit to the Hebrides has come to an end -
Maybe you'll do the old German saying "All good things come in threes!" true and drive over again -
we would be there again with all our hearts, eyes shining and ears pricked -
In our next life we will definitely make up for our second visit -
this includes the longed-for place of St Kilda.
