Thanks for watching everyone! If you want to watch our next video from the Outer Hebrides - to Lewis and Harris, you can here: ruclips.net/video/3Te6iZuck4U/видео.html
Thank you guys! Doing my research on our trip to the Hebrides and came across your channel! Going in May.... still soooo far way.... thanks for sharing some of the park-ups. Very valuable. Watch for our videos in June!
I’m in heaven watching this. So long since I’ve been to the outer isles. As I recover from an op I can just sit here, look at my van sitting outside and plan. Thank you so much for the totally lovely film guys ❤❤
This is such a lovely comment - thank you! Hope the recovery goes well and you're back in your van and on your way to the Outer Hebrides soon! (We've just come back from a week on Lewis & Harris, we can't stop going back!)
Well what a fantastic video Harris an Lewis is the best nuthing like the Outer Hebrides bye long way me and my wife been there back in 2005 and 2006 2 times when we had the motorhome love every mint of it one thing we got lot's photo's and lovely sun set's as well .
Brilliant video 👏👏👏 Scotland is such a beautiful place and the locations you were at in this video are absolutely stunning. Looking forward to watching the next video of your tour of the Scottish Islands.
For the sake of accuracy, the ferry, northwards from Barra, lands on the island of Eriskay, nit South Uist. Eriskay and S. Uist are joined by a causeway. I was a little surprised that, when you were on Eriskay, you made no mention of the "Whisky Galore" story. I think a lot of people would have found that interesting.
I think the final beach has been voted one of the best beaches in the world! Beautiful in any weather, but on with sunshine, they're next level! Thanks for watching! ✌️♥️
Finally getting round to watching this, loved it! Top marks for wildlife spotting, we've still never seen an otter in the wild, bet that was an amazing experience at Vatersay that night. LOVE your van by the way, and Frank is definitely my kinda dog 😄Shame we missed meeting you guys at the time, I spotted our tent and us on the beach at Vatersay at 4:56, we were so close!! Looking forward to catching up on the rest of your journey... Kim
Thanks for watching! And ha! No way was that you guys and your tent!! How funny, we wish we'd bumped into you both in person! Hopefully we'll cross destinations again the future 🤞! Where's next for you both?
Excellent video guys! As per, my questions and thoughts to prove I've watched are: 1. Jack, did you actually swim everyday? 2. Was the barra gin nice? 3. Why did Jo know so much about the gin, but you didn't Jack? Also, did you buy me some? 4. Jo will now be known as an otter spotter for ever more 5. That seal was hilarious 6. 📍Close to bein mor was an excellent label 7. Why didn't you film the sheep encounter? 8. Jack, you looked super helpful fixing the boat... That's all for now!
1. I failed to swim everyday, but it's the thought that counts, right? (It was very cold!) 2. So good! 3. Because she went to the distillery with Tom while I had to work 😭 4. 100 5. So cute! 6. Blame Tom 🤣 7. I don't know.. 8. It was Tom's boat! I was ready to walk back!
It's a really great way of exploring all of the lochs and coast line - can imagine with something sturdier than the inflatable, you could go on some proper big adventures!
@@TheseWildJourneys yes defiantly my friend is nick ray i built a kayak for him hes living out of it for 12 months around scotland hes the one that lives on mull
Great video as always guys..👍👍, im thinking of going up there in Jan, get off in Castlebay and leave from Stornoway 3 months later, would be good to know how much you paid for the ferries while island hopping..👍👍
Thanks for watching! From memory - and I was looking into this for a blog - it was about £500 all in (but that might cheaper out of peak season). That's including the ferries between the islands. It's a bit expensive, but we definitely thought it was worth it! Would be interesting to know how you get on in winter. We're heard the weather can be tough, but also beautiful at times!
@@TheseWildJourneys Thanks for that, I’m very much a winter person so I will love it, I will still wear my shorts and definitely do some sea dipping too.. and yes I will let you know how it goes..👍🏻

Ah yes! I follow Nick Ray on Twitter, incredible trip he's on, some of the weather he's been facing and camping in. Oof! Proper adventure!
Uist is actually pronounced you-ist 🙂
We found this out after / during our trip! Sounds much better than how we were saying it, ha!
Great video. What is the song at 4-40 and who sings it?
Thank you! I believe it's called "til all that's left is ash" by an artist called Ludlow" she has a beautiful voice!
Thanks guys 👍@@TheseWildJourneys

'You can only see otters when you're not trying to see otters.' You've been misinformed. That's not otters, that's Nessie! Or Haggis.
Always never look like you're looking! (Must have been Nessie!)
