Hi! I found shiny Bulbasaur back in 2017 and have been wanting to go for this and Squirtle in Heart Gold and Soul Silver pretty much the whole time since. So, I'm finally getting around to the rest of these gen 1 starters! I love getting starter pokemon outside of their originally game, so these Kanto ones in a Johto game are no exception :)

I'm doing this hunt right now as my fist DTQ member for heartgold a little different from a normal dtq but I could not skip this hunt lol. It will be cool having a shiny Kanto and Johto stater on the team.
It would be pretty cool to have a Johto Starter, Kanto Starter, and Hoenn starter all on the same DTQ!

I remember when I got my shiny charmander.
I got it literally 5 resets after getting my shiny wandering latios and I was super happy with it because it was also modest nature.
I don't use rng or anything it was all luck.

For these hunts with multiple screens, do you use some method to sync inputs between all the devices? I assume the hunts are done on real cartridges I was just wondering how the inputs seem so close across the 4 games
Nothing to sync them up, just using my hands. After years of practice, I’ve gotten good with keeping them in sync👌🏼

Can someone explain how you control all four games? I've always wondered this. Is it DS or emulation? Is it multiple inputs controlling the games or a single input?

All are actual DS systems, no emulation. I use my hands, I don’t use any controller mod. But I do have rubber bands around my L&R buttons so I can reset with just start+select
Everything here is the old fashioned way, aside from a mod that lets me direct capture the video 👍🏼
