#3 is finally, FINALLY here!! Shiny Charmander after over 34k is hopefully going to be my longest hunt of this DTQ. After 20k SR's of triple hunting, I added a 4th game to the mix on my SP. Luckily I didn’t get charmander on that game, the footage would have been rough 😅

I‘ve recently started watching your hunts (new sub), and I already really like your videos. In my opinion, you’re right up there with the bigger names, like Soniks, ShinyCollector, and Absol. I’m hunting Shiny Charmander right now on just a GBA at 6,000 SR and it’s been a week of non stop I wanna just give up but I’m already this invested into it and it’s the only shiny I want lol
You guys wont believe but i was soft resetting on 2 gameboys watching this video right now 1 had leafgreen going for charmander one had firered going for squirtle. I got charmander shiny while watching this im going crazy
I'm currently doing this hunt. One SP with Fire red, and another with Leaf Green. I'm at 1,500 resets already and hope it won't take this long...
I just bought myself a custom GBA SP with a new IPS screen and am gonna be picking up this game to hunt Deoxys!

I was resetting to get a Timid Charmander, but on the sixth attempt I got a shiny Bashful Charmander 😅
Did some math for you on your first hunt and it took about a rough 40 hours or more to hunt for your Charmander. Still hunting for mine too. 😭😭 love your videos and your very positive energy. Keep it up. 1:15

DUDE I JUST GOT MY SHINY CHARMANDER IN LEAF GREEN IN MY JAPANESE COPY AT 1,653 sr AND IT WAS DURING MY BREAK TIME ROFL
Aah i m soft resetting for a bulbasaur rn also in leafgreen. Well, not on a cartridge. Im running an emulator and if/when i get my shiny cabbage dinosaur ill transfare the save file to my leafgreen cartridge again haha
Im currently doing the same on pizzaboy emulator. Idk how many resets I've done, which most likely isn't enough but it feels like it's never going to happen. How long did it take you or have you got it?

Starting this hunt again in a few weeks after I get my Japanese FireRed and LeafGreen :) I will hunt on 4 separate games I hope I don’t pass 15k again that’s usually when I give up

@@haleybourinot2765 nah, but I discovered Pokemon emerald has a very broken rng manipulation that I was able to make work and get any shiny Gen 3 Pokemon with it

You probably already know, but isn't gen 3 very bad for soft resetting due to the way the RNG works?
That's only really for the hoenn games, emerald's rng seeding is broken and for ruby and sapphire, you'll always get the same rng seed if you have a dead battery.
For fr/lg the seed is based on the number of frames between when you launch/soft-reset and when you press start/a to go into the main menu from the title screen (as well as which buttons you press before the main menu opens)

I got shiny bulbasaur while attempting speed runs like 11 years ago. Needless to say speed run was over. On that cartridge I got shiny moltres, articuno, and failed to capture zapdos with like 62 balls. Good luck on your hunt

I did the conversion it shouldve been around 8320 assuming you never hunted doing something else also just an estimate so take it with a grain of salt

So I’m sorry to say that:
1. I sadly don’t stream
2. These are captured via DS capture cards. Not SP’s
get a gamecube with gameboy player, an hdmi converter, and an elgato. it's an expensive setup, but this is how id do it if I made pokemon content
Quick question, i noticed the soft reset number was increasing by 4 but there is only 3 devices is that a mistake?
So I was doing a 4th reset on my GBA SP alongside the three cap cards that wasn’t recorded. Haha I will also say, this was very very early into my recording days and there are errors all over the place in these

Doing this on emulator is much easier sense you can fast forward
how many sr did u do for and for how many hours
So this took 34,004 soft resets while triple hunting for the first 20k and then quad hunting the final 14k. The date stamps are in the description
