- Ah, my favorite scene. Edge is a BAMF.
Recorded with DeSmuME 0.9.4+. These cutscenes are presented in the way when you talk to the metal fat chocobo in the Lunar Whale, not actually playing through the game. I did not combine these videos because then the quality would be lost.
Obviously, I did not make this game. Copyright belongs to Square Enix, which makes awesome games.

I like Rubicate in every aspect of this cut scene. His entrance, his voice, his design and his overall character. I like honorable villains.

This is probably my favorite scene in the whole game. I always replayed it a bunch of times when I owned the game
When I’m demotivated at the gym, I watch this scene.
This is one of the most badass scenes that they did for the DS release!

Good Guy Rubicante.
Ambushes you with boss fight.
Heals you first.
He's not a good guy. He's still a villain that works for Golbez/Zemus.
He is, however, an honorable warrior, he hates cheap tactics and unfair fights. That's why he always heals you when you fight him, and why he also disagreed with Lugae's experiments.
IIRC, he also congratulate you and wish you luck when you defeat him.

In the After Years, Rubicante becomes Edge's spirit guide. Towards the endgame you can get his flame cloak, it's Edge's best armor.
Rubicante is such a class act; he's destined for Hell's first circle.
Geez, man, I forgot how spectacular the voice acting for the DS version of this game was. I should really replay it again.
TFW you realize that Edge is voiced by Taliesin Jaffe (Percy de Rolo and Mollymauk Tealeaf and Caduceus Clay from Critical Role).

@@sammyshehole it'd of been nice to have him join the party in FFIV The After Years to team with Edge and have Barbariccia join as well to team with Kain. Could've had those two instead of useless characters like Harley, Leonora, or Edge's Ninjas.

Actually a Shiny pokemon with 6 perfect IVs is impossible since Shininess is based on a certain combination of IVs, none of which is "perfect".
kefka3 That hasn't been true for years, ever since Gen 3 - or maybe even 2 - shiny chance has been separate from IV spread.
Shiny caracter depends on IVs only in G/S/C.
+11Slimeade11 IVs hardly make that big of a difference. Maybe like 4 stat points.

Hm I thought more people preferred rubicante’s line over edge’s. I guess I assumed that. Anyway I completely prefer Rubicante. Hell he is one of the characters i remember years after I finished playing the game. I completely forgot about edge lol

I'm playing the PSP version of FF IV, so no voice actors. I wanted to hear what Edge sounded like, and I gotta say, not what I pictured. I imagined him sounding more like a 18-20 year old, but he sounds older here.

The minimum drinking age is 18-19 in most of the world and we don't actually know Rydia's age so it's possible she's 21+

The voice actors for this remake turned kind of a stupid story into a very entertaining ride.
It would take some skill to ruin a good character in a remake.
