"Bahamut, Father of all Eidolons, shall deliver your final judgement!" Freaking epic! This is why I love Bahamut! He is the Godzilla of the FF universe!
Asura: (tries to stop Bahamut) Mysterious Girl: *You waste your time.* Bahamut, 30 seconds later: (turns on the Mysterious Girl) Mysterious Girl: (desperately tries to defend herself to no avail) Bahamut: *You waste your breath!*
Fun fact: I think the mysterious girl casted her own demise by casting black hole. This spell removes all buffs and debuffs on the battlefield. Maybe it gave back Bahamut his conscience 🤣
Your video should be more famous than this, honestly. This is probably one of the most epic battles in all the Final Fantasy series, all because of the storyline and the simple concept between the Mysterious Girl aka the Maenad. One of the best games Square ever released.
Fun Fact: Mysterious Girl, in here has exactly 10 000 HP. Bahamut deals 9999 damage and she remains with 1 HP. To add more kick ass ingredient to the battle.
I like Kain because how he changed in the series, Edward because of the wisdom he showed, and Leonora because she is wise and has an interesting background story.
@@P3ndaAd3m Hey, atleast she's awesome when she learns Holy. She's a fucking monster when she uses that. It replaces Flare for now, but she's still a beast with Holy, and 3rd level Black Magic. She can be useful.
I just had a theory. FF fans gather round. The creator at the end of the game says he sent out tons of crystals to different worlds. And the crystals you fight in the depths have monsters from different ff games. What if the ff games are taking place on different planets and thats why they brought back those monsters? Maybe theyre for the creator to experiment on with the knowledge from the crystals?
The Maenad was a recurring boss done right. Memorable theme music and a boss theme that screams “dangerous!” At this point you know how serious you have to take her because you never even had a shot in the individual tales.
Alright, so my strategy is as follows: Party: Ceodore, Kain, Leonora, Cecil, Rydia First, the only people you'll probably need for this battle are Kain and Leonora, due to sheer versality. Place Adamant Shields + Adamant Helms on Kain and Leonora. Limit Ring on either Leonora or Kain. Wyvern or Dragoon Lances on Kain (Bahamut, being a floating enemy, will take 2x damage due to throw-elemental, and 4x due to Dragon-opposing weapon.) Blue Armors on Ceodore, Kain and Cecil. Pink Armors on Leonora and Rydia. If Limit Ring is on Kain, go on a New Moon, if not, go on Waxing Moon due to Leonora having the Limit Ring. Start with Rydia using Spider Silk. Cecil will use an Hermes Sandals. Ceodore will cast Haste on Leonora. Since Leonora has a speed boost, dualcast Haste on Kain + Curaja on everyone (as the Maenad opens up with Meteor) Kain will Jump, and, if he has the Limit Ring, he will hit for minimum (9225) to maximum (13000ish) due to having the Throw / Dragon elements on his lance. On 80+ levels, you'll probably hit from 10000 minimum to 20000 maximum. (Remember, Jumping on a New Moon). Rydia will now use Flare / Meteor / Leviathan, hitting for ~4500 - 9000~ damage Cecil will use a Spider Silk UNLESS you want this battle finished really quickly, which then he'll then use a Bacchus' Wine. Ceodore will eventually cast Haste on Rydia or on himself. Kain will Jump, doing the same damage I foretelled. Leonora will get her turn first than everyone, so Dualcast Curaja (if you need) + Holy / Flare, eventually breaking the damage limit with the Limit Ring. Repeat this UNTIL Black Hole Megaflare Rydia will probably die, so use a Phoenix Down on her with Ceodore, Dualcast Curaja on everyone, it'll heal for 1700 the 2 times. Keep going with the second part of the strategy until Megaflare, which then you'll use this third part of the strategy, then eventually repeat.
As for the items... Dragoon Lance: Obtained at the end of Kain's Tale Wyvern Lance: Obtained from Red Dragons. Spider Silk: Ceodore's Tale, Baron City, Items Shop Adamant Items: Get Adamantite at the end of each tale from Challenge Dungeons. Limit Ring: Trade 14 of 21 small tails for a Rainbow Tail. Blue Armor: Trade in Blue Tails Pink Armor: Trade in Pink Tails Bacchus' Wine: Look at chests.
Problem is with Leonora she’s not high with wisdom or spirit as a mage. It’s balanced because she can use both black and white magic. Take Porom which is the best option even over Rosa.
*cackling laughter echoes* Rydia: "Who Are you?" Mysterious Girl: "Open Hells Gate, Come Forth My Servant!" Rydia: "The Scent of your blood, you're a Maenad!" Maenad: "Crush This Flea who invades my Moon!" *cackling laughter*
So it's not like MegaTen where only elemental attack magic (excluding Almighty) can be reflected. Here, literally all magic can be reflected, correct? If so then it should work if Maenad didn't cast Black Hole.
I just started this game today, and now that I see all this crap it kinda makes me nervous to play through it. But I'll do it anyway, I'm getting really lost because it seems like I can pick my party but have no idea how to build it when I'll get to, I like Leonora though.
Hm. I think you over exaggerated the description a bit. You seem to be putting too many buffs on in the beginning, which is wasting precious time. Leave that up to Rosa. Once everyone's healed, I just spam Mirage Dive (Kain+Edge) and Holy Blast (Rosa+Rydia) until he says 1. It's kind of sad that you even used Attack or Jump.
But then again, do you expect monsters inhabiting an area change? Imagien them like animals, would you expect after 17 years that lions would move from Africa to Australia, or such?
Cecil doesn't go crazy. His spirit was sealed away by the Mysterious Girl after his body was overloaded by Bahamut's Megaflare. Same happened to the Eidolons. And if you look in the background, the Creator actually sent crystals in all the Final Fantasy worlds, because himself said that he navigated through space, collecting the Crystals from the planets he sent them to. Just think about the background story and don't expect everything being served on the plate.
I was around Level 60 or above... only Edge was level 58 or so... but then i still got beaten up by the Quake, Meteor, and MegaFlare because of all things, i forgot to CAST FLOAT!!! Thanks for uploading this by the way... i never played the Wii Version cause i don't have a Wii.
This battle she will cast Haste on Bahamut sometimes... When I first fought them, i didnt expect earthquake at all and paid the price for it but it took me about 10 attempts to do this and my guys were around level 60...
@ChrisTheBest1992 Ah, I didn't notice until you just mentioned it that Mysterious Girl casts Black Hole right before the Meganuke gets rolled out. Not cool.
And besides, in the Gameboy and PSP ports of Final Fantasy IV, there are Lunar Eidolons, in which you defeat them, summon them and they all deal 9999 non-elemental damage to all enemies.
I'm confused, you tried attacking the Mysterious Girl before realizing you had to attack Bahamut yet never tried using reflect to defend against Mega Flare. Was this a first time attempt or not. Was it simply forgetting Bahamut is the real target or is it prior knowledge to the Black Hole Mega Flare combo before a first attempt.
Thinking that Mysterious girl won, abusing her chance by using Black Hole to remove all the buffs of the heroes, it also remove her control over Bahamut and turns on to her for an instant😂😂😂.
anyone notice the Devil's Horns (Baphomet Handsign) she's making with her left hand? Fore Finger & Small Finger up, 2 middle fingers down. Interesting.
@TheBob4356 This version has not been out for very long, 2 months at the most. So you never completly wasted money unless you got the wii one very recently.
Otherwise, if I am wrong, try explaining me why a load of Crystals are on the New Moon, and Fiends from all over the FF worlds spawn from various crystals found on that Moon.
Meteor and Megaflare are the only reasons this boss fight are actually tough. Casters pretty much get annihilated every time either of those attacks go off, but your melee people should be able to endure the nukes. But then again, the last time I faced this boss, I was able to snap Bahamut out of it before he cast Megaflare once.
Snap Bahamut out of it? You bring Rydia when you fight Leviathan and Asura and they will join you after you do enough damage. Then they help you snap Bahamut out of it. In general sense, I did damage fast. It helped I had Kain and Ceodore for their Jump band that Breaks Damage Limit.
Yeah that's how. I managed to stop the attack before 1. I also did it again for a friend after and it couldn't OHKO anything except Porom (but she wasn't max HP before the attack).
+avengingknight I plan on doing a video series on this game where I do it on Active (I think I see some ideas I can do with these bosses) after I post beating Weapons from ff7 without using KOTR/Hero Drink abuse bullshit.
So far I have FF5 where I beat almost everything without Rapid Fire (just Magic Pot cause it was 2nd PT) and FF6 where I don't use Ultima, Quick, Esper attacks, Valiant Knives, Ultima Weapons, Master Scrolls or pretty much any of that OP shit on Active and FF1/2,
imo edward is perfect for this match, have him buffed and hide before black hole and mega flare and he'll avoid it all. have him then return and if he has economical ring equiped along with his Salve ability you have an OP healer. X potions will heal all part for 4000hp as well he can revive everyone at once for around 800-1000 hp.
That's basically the best healer. Tbf, i actually had to grind him a lot in order for him to survive some attacks, and got him to level 99 by teaming him up with only Leonora.
Make sure they have a high magical defense, and someone is immune to Paralysis. She will murder you otherwise. Make sure you use Gale Rush and Izayoi and Gekkou's healing band after being damaged. And get yourself equipment by trading tails. You have no chance head-on with her if your characters don't have high magical defense, high magic evasion, or over 4000 HP per character.
Most likely, as far as i know the only spell in FF IV that cannot be reflected at all is Meteor, and also the Twincast spell Porom and Palom have in the 3D remake on DS, Ultima
are you sure you went almost to the end of the game? Cecil will "woke up" and his stats will return to normal, also, he's the character with most hp along with Yang
You have issues. FF 1 to 6 are some of the FF games with the best stories. And honestly. The After Years is probably one of the masterpieces that Square has put out on the market.
But extremely annoying when she starts picking your characters with single-target spells. Grrr, I can't recall how many times I had to deal with her doing that...
I had like level 55 party members and practically had meteor kill all 5 at once using the same Cecil Kain Edge Rydia Rosa party then again if I survived meteor I could have Mega Flare itself practically kill all 5 of them at once.
I defeated him with none dead on the meteor nor the megaflare. It was pretty easy for me. I like Golbez's meteor. I still haven't got Rydia's meteor spell :(

If you don’t bring Rydia, it’s an instant Game Over as Bahamut will use a boosted Megaflare right at the start. It helps to enter this fight during a waning moon since black magic is weaker during a waning moon. Trust me, that opening Meteor will really hurt. You can’t hit Mysterious Girl with anything as they’ll always miss. Only Bahamut’s Megaflare can hit her. Bring Bahamut down to about 15000 HP, then if you rescued Asura and Leviathan, you win.
well its hard to tell since the battle was designed this way so u will always get hit by Megaflare... but since reflecting it was the main strategy in the original FF IV to beat Bahamut it should work... in theory
right unfortunately that ability is exclusive to the DS remake, btw my bad the strongest twincast spell on the DS remake for Porom and Palom is Twin Meteor,in that version u can get augments which are items that allow u to teach a character the abilities of other characters, in this case u can teach Twincast to both cecil and rosa and they are able to cast Ultima which is exclusive to them :)
If something goes wrong and you aren't prepared for it, then that's the player's fault, not the CPU's. She will only cast Meteor once, and Megaflare is just easy to survive if you have at least one tank character (Cecil, Kain, Golbez, Cid, etc.) and a bunch of phoenix downs.
The Graphics are better than the Wii Version, maybe you could use the cursed ring and crystal helm combo? That heals on all elements...it's kinda cheap, only regular attacks harm you, non elemental, physical attacks.
My favorite tale would probaly be....kain's or the final tale. To be honest I went through most of the game without useing bands. I kinda just found out that they can be powerful. So my favorite would be the band involving cecil and kain.

Nope. Black Hole cancels all positive status effects on your party...INCLUDING Reflect...
not sure of trolling >.>
the eidolons where out before FF10 ever had them
He dealt morw damage more then 9999 to her square enix could only use 9999 lol
imagine if the mysterious girl DID put up reflect but since kain is in the air and he hits mysterious girl the moment she did reflect that'll be funny
The Graphics are better than the Wii Version, maybe you could use the cursed ring and crystal helm combo? That heals on all elements...it's kinda cheap, only regular attacks harm you, non elemental, physical attacks.
Nice but pros play with " active" not with "wait"
Let's face it. Given the way he plays, Active would have destroyed him.
I agree
Chris H36 hahah yeah man
I would call the Curaja spell overpowered if every other boss in the FFIV universe didn't have the capacity to nearly demolish your party in one turn.
My favorite tale was the Lunarian one, and the band would be either King's Quad or Infinity or Pure White Magic.
@PrimalJordan I got the wii one very recently. =( Then again, I don't have a PSP.
My favorite tale would probaly be....kain's or the final tale. To be honest I went through most of the game without useing bands. I kinda just found out that they can be powerful. So my favorite would be the band involving cecil and kain.
