I played the PC version, but I also have the complete collection. Have to say, Kain and Ceodore look better in the 2D version, blue haired Ceodore is awesome.
This game was extremely repetitive after a while, but you have to admit the graphics, sprites and animations are the most gorgeous out of any 2d version of Final Fantasy ever
Spectacular battle, Revolted! But to be honest, the Creator actually explains the circumstances of Final Fantasy when it comes to the origins of the worlds of each game and the crystal things that drive history in each story forward. My mind was blown when it would be this game that explains it all. :O
+AWJ★ Thank you, and you're absolutely right, that's what makes the game worth playing in my opinion, every person may see it differently though, I recommend any late Final Fantasy fan to play the first games, some are better than others but each has an interesting story on it's own.

I also have a headcanon/theory that Chrono Trigger is connected to the Final Fantasy series (via retcon), and Lavos is a creature taxonomically related to JENOVA. Lavos is more highly evolved and more powerful than JENOVA; she also unconsciously carries on the Creator's experiment, the result being the evolution of modern humans on the Chrono Trigger planet. Her original ultimate goal is the same as JENOVA's...Reproducing and infecting other planets, though Lavos produces parthenogenetic offspring while JENOVA relies on technological interference and her own viral proteins to spread her genetic information. Once Lavos assimilates Schala, though, she goes mad with power and transforms into the Crystal of destruction known as the Time Devourer, hell bent on destroying all time-space. In a timeline that the Time Devourer succeeds in her goal (by assimilating Serge), she loses sapience and resets space-time, becoming the original Crystal encountered in Final Fantasy IX and inadvertently birthing a new universe. I also can't help but notice the similarities between Lavos' and the Creator's exoskeletons and core forms...
I think you're overthinking it no offense. Also off the ffx will ending vocal novel it's speculated that when sin returned at the end of the novel. That somehow since sin is yu yevon he created a sin spawn in the image of his daughter yunalesca. Also 7 and 10 are in the same universe keep in mind.
Everybody seems to struggle with the second phase of the fight, but I honestly find it to be the easiest of the lot. There are two big methods I use - the first is spamming Double Jump (which can easily deal over 20000 damage, enough to take him out in two or three hits). The second involves giving the entire party Reflect, then having Rydia spam Bahamut, as he counters magic with Megaflare in this phase. And because Megaflare is effected by Reflect, he ends up being the one to take damage instead. It's hilarious. Third phase can die in a fire, though, you basically can't fight him on a Full Moon or else he'll one-shot your entire party with Meteor...
Thank you. I bought the DS version of FF IV and sadly missed out on this. I prefer the 2d sprite animation anyhow. The 3d graphics on the DS are not as colorful and somewhat lacking compared to the colors and vibrancy of the 2d sprites, plus the spells look better on PSP.
Yeah if only the enemies from 2D remake version were animated the 2D version will win but the only 2D animation in PSP version is our heroes the enemies? Just static sprite flashing when attack or using spells the only good thing about them are design but that alone not enough to appeal people that never play this game today.

+Revolted5555 A 55-floor boss rush. The True Moon is longer than every other story combined. Not long after I entered, I completely forgot about the Mysterious Girl. I was just fighting boss after boss after boss after boss and grinding for nearly a fortnight before I fought her for the last time.

you could even say some moon crystals got knocked into the life stream giving it power to heal the planet, make materia with consience inside or for weapons. not to mention the planet could have known how to genetically make ultima, ruby, emerald or any other weapon for that matter. and still supply energy for those mako reactors. ff15 taks about how the crystals hold massive amounts of energy and the ability to make things
See, were I one of the heroes standing in front of this thing, I'd challenge their words. They claimed that they are forced to end us because we were not sufficient in providing them with what they needed to succeed, but in all of their wisdom they were ALSO insufficient in achieving success. just started playing this and while liking that Ceodore wants to be his own man through his portion of the story at the start. I really wish they would of made him become more of a red mage (getting his father's melee, mother's white magic, and maybe taking up some black magic to be his own thing) instead of a paladin type character. it feels like we got more of the same with cecil but with his son instead. or maybe make his son go down a different path. be a true dark knight instead? or thief perhaps. maybe even a beast master. overall loved it though. I could see SE doing this with X and Jecht/Braska/Auron treatment they ere originally going to do with X-2. or maybe even Sephiroth's and the Turks kinda how they did with the, at the time, japan only cell phone game.

Like the video title says its Final Fantasy IV: The After Years it was released on the PSP as part of the Final Fantasy IV The Complete Collection, it can be accessed from the main menu no cheats, although it's a sequel from the main story.
@@marc-andrest-onge2244 this sequel can be many things but shitty is for sure not the graphics are nice and very polished (unlike the wii version) the new musics are very cool(although i prefer zeromus final boss theme) and the history can be interesting if you play it blind and it will sure make you want to finish it(or at least it did it witih me) the only problem i have is he final dungeon having way too much bosses and being too long overall the game is pretty good

When a god forces a destiny upon millions of people and it hinders them, they rise up to protect themselves. The creator was effectively god, and it believed humanity weak and unfulfilled. The party here happens to prove that they are the ones who decide their destiny, not the creator. They defy the will of a god. I think when the creator thanks them, it was because they proved it wrong. It wanted them to have evolved to a useful state, a stronger state and it didn't think they had. When they surpassed it, it was wrong. Sometimes a creator's most proud moment is when its creations exceed all expectations.
+Colin Tentis Right! It makes a lot more sense when you put it that way. You're talking about the the highest level one can possibly stand up against and a god pretty much fits the mold. Makes the entire conflict worthwhile and much more interesting. And indeed, a creator can underestimate himself/herself when it comes to unexpected outcomes. Jeez, imagine if this happened in Final Fantasy I, or V, or VI...this would've really been deep! :D
B careful what you wish for... Secondly, theres not much worth continuing from the ff6...what with magic being totally dead...as for 7 we got one. It was Advent Children, and Dirge of the Cerberus. Viii would be worth seeing a sequel. Maybe go into detail the turn of events that gave rise to ultimecia. Like where she came from, or maybe put a spin on it, and have one of the new cast members end up becoming ultimecia!!!
Its changing weaknesses dont make to much sense out sode of making a speed run, very challenging if you have higher spells. Kinda wish they had w.meteor. it was in ff us pretty cool i havent seen it yet. Kinda like a holy meteor.
My game get major glitch here, i can't use crystal item to creator, just used to myself, so i can't continue the game because of that, dammit. Well, at least it's just the final boss tho, not the entire game. (but that hurts so much dude, you know?)
I'm playing this right now.... the passages in the moon are like a character needs 200,000 xp and these mobs only give you like 5k to 10k xp.... it's getting boring actually...is there a place where you can get more xp??
i just grinded using fast forward but overall just run from most of the enemies and try to beat the bosses when you reach near the last floors the enemies give so much exp that grind is not necessary

The game is made of individual stories, playing with several character independently, at the beggining it's not very interesting but once the stories start to fit with each other and make sense it turns in an amazing game ;)
with the elements they had the creator should have been a woman. the creator (jenova) aims the collapsing moon at the planet in a last effort to take over. instead crashes the meteor size moon into the NORTH causing a CRATOR. booya!stage set for ff7. oh and nix that crap about the creator being the last of his kind also. and rydia should have been born of parents infused with levia. & asura essence. two mothers and fathers.
@@goncalomiguel1384 give him his strongest equipment if available, make edge reach high level to give him enough hp and stats maybe 70 to 80( i forgot since it has been a long time ago) and then just use an item that has a haste effect, cast blink/mirage(i forgot the name) ninjutsu on himself to avoid physical attacks, also edge has an access to healing ninjutsu so you don't have to rely much on healing items, save some high ethers and elixirs just in case edge run out of mp, if you are worried about magic attacks just use an item that has a shell effect, i can't remember if ninjutsu can be reflected if not, use an item that has a reflect effect to avoid magic dmg... As far as i can remember, i only use an item that has a haste effect(he's really fast with haste), some ethers or hi ether, maybe one or more elixir or maybe none at all

Is it really worth it? I always thought it was kinda shitty that they expanded on one of my favorite final fantasies. I never bothered with this one.

The G-Wing I beat the entire game on the Wii blind with no help. It's very simple if you get the hang of it

viniciomartinez Edge is much better anyone, when he gets to level 70 plus he does massive dmg, more so than Cecil and Kain, and crits a lot too

just started playing this and while liking that Ceodore wants to be his own man through his portion of the story at the start. I really wish they would of made him become more of a red mage (getting his father's melee, mother's white magic, and maybe taking up some black magic to be his own thing) instead of a paladin type character. it feels like we got more of the same with cecil but with his son instead. or maybe make his son go down a different path. be a true dark knight instead? or thief perhaps. maybe even a beast master. overall loved it though. I could see SE doing this with X and Jecht/Braska/Auron treatment they ere originally going to do with X-2. or maybe even Sephiroth's and the Turks kinda how they did with the, at the time, japan only cell phone game.

When a god forces a destiny upon millions of people and it hinders them, they rise up to protect themselves. The creator was effectively god, and it believed humanity weak and unfulfilled. They defy the will of a god. I think when the creator thanks them, it was because they proved it wrong. It wanted them to have evolved to a useful state, a stronger state and it didn't think they had. When they surpassed it, it was wrong.

I'm playing this right now.... the passages in the moon are like a character needs 200,000 xp and these mobs only give you like 5k to 10k xp.... it's getting boring actually...is there a place where you can get more xp??
i just grinded using fast forward but overall just run from most of the enemies and try to beat the bosses
when you reach near the last floors the enemies give so much exp that grind is not necessary
oh yeah also there is the challenge dungeons incase you don't care about re-complete chapters

The game is made of individual stories, playing with several character independently, at the beggining it's not very interesting but once the stories start to fit with each other and make sense it turns in an amazing game ;)

@@goncalomiguel1384 give him his strongest equipment if available, make edge reach high level to give him enough hp and stats maybe 70 to 80( i forgot since it has been a long time ago) and then just use an item that has a haste effect, cast blink/mirage(i forgot the name) ninjutsu on himself to avoid physical attacks, also edge has an access to healing ninjutsu so you don't have to rely much on healing items, save some high ethers and elixirs just in case edge run out of mp, if you are worried about magic attacks just use an item that has a shell effect, i can't remember if ninjutsu can be reflected if not, use an item that has a reflect effect to avoid magic dmg...
As far as i can remember, i only use an item that has a haste effect(he's really fast with haste), some ethers or hi ether, maybe one or more elixir or maybe none at all
