Ron's Pet Peeve #1 Vertical Video. Oh, good. So I am not the only one? I cannot stand when watching the news or whatever and they have to fill in the sides with blurry bits from the same video. Mother Nature put our eyes on the side of our heads for a reason, kids.
@@rbraxley It IS a losing battle thanks to TikTok or any other mobile phone apps that require verticle filming. And people just get used to it because "it has always been that way." Can you imagine the first person to shoot a film in 9 : 16? Or the first theater or television built for 9 : 16? Ugh! One of these days, when I've nothing but time, I am going to take famous film stills (think Rose and Jack on the front of the ship) and crop them for 9 : 16 just for fun. Maybe that is a good exercise for your video production classes.

I fear it's a losing battle, but one I continue to fight (at least within the confines of a video production class).
