Hope you’re all doing alright during all of the craziness in the world right now with Covid-19 (coronavirus).
Dad built us a turtle trap to set in the creek to catch us some common snapping turtles! This video shows a little on how he built it, and how and where we set it! Also what you can use to bait them. The next video will be on what we caught coming SOON!

I'm 46, and ain't no horn dog anymore. First things first, to the dad. Thank you for teaching our young people about the outdoors. How to feed yourself and your family with what nature provides. To the young lady in this video, you have paid attention and learned a very valuable way of how to live. Congratulations to you sir for having a wonderful daughter who ain't afraid to get in there and get dirty. I'm almost positive she can handle herself and whip the ass of most of these city boys on here making rude comments about her. You young lady will make some lucky MAN a great wife someday. An older Man (here in North Alabama) taught My Brother and I, when we were kids, how to catch Snappers with a Turtle Hook! I loved it except we had to wade the creeks hunting the holes the old Turtles would back into! We made the Turtle Hooks with the outside metal on old Bed Springs! We would straighten the wire and make a hook on the end! I really Enjoy Videos like this! ....THANKS!!

Mule tape is what we use for pulling short spans of small wire when we build powerlines down here in Florida.

We use Mule-Tape to pull telephone wires through buried pipe. Strong stuff!!!

I’m a pretty avid outdoorsman in Ohio, love to fish, backpack, camp, & climb. What these folks are doing is strictly a southern activity, and that’s what I love about this channel. There is such a distinct culture in the southeast United States that I just find fascinating. If the world ever comes to and end and our food supply is threatened, these folks will be the last ones standing

Great setup for turtles 🐢. Nothing better than hanging out with family making some great memories. Nothing like getting out in nature and getting a bunch of fresh air best medicine there is. Keep up the great videos

I've got a pond and a creek that are overrun with cottonmouths and copperheads both! They love feeding on the minnows.
I can remember when my dad and i used to turtle fish the first one that we caught when we got home my dad got the turtle out of the back of the truck threw it on the ground, he said son do you know how to clean a turtle I said no I sure don't, he looked at me and grinned said you raise his tail and wipe his ass lol.
