About 40 years ago I remember the stories of catfish as big as an old VW bug in Guntersville Al. The water is very muddy but the cats bury up in the mud & fed on the fish that come thru the dam. One diver reported seeing a cat with an eye that was nearly the size of a headlight. Anywho..I enjoy the videos,thank you n God bless

Jeff picking up Hannah while she is holding on to that big cat reminds me of a very similar story. I was about 5yrs old. My dad would set up a seining net at the spillway of a local pond. All my siblings and I would get into the water and hand fish. Mostly bluegill, bass and carp. Well being five I was having much luck. The I manage to wrap up a big carp. It was to big for me to throw it on the bank. I yell for help and my dad picked me and that fish up and set us on the bank. Dad is gone now, but my siblings laugh about the family fishing outings still.

They explain in a video during last year's noodling season why they do it the way they do. Right hand goes in the mouth gets bit if it's a small one they keep ahold of the mouth if it's larger than they go down to the left gilhool to pull it out of the box or hole in the bank. After coming out of the hole they stick their left arm through the left gilhool, and grabbing the mouth hugging the fish close to them so not to damage the gills. Then the dance begins!
