Morgan is an absolute legend. He was the first artist that made me go, ''wow'', i'd love to paint like that''. His DVDs sets/downloads are still some of the best and most educational on the market.
I have stage combat swords and Lord of the Rings replicas around MY STUDIO TOO! Just like Morgan!!! I can't wait to tell my wife. I feel so validated. He's even cooler than I imagined. Looking forward to part 2.
I recognize that room from so many of his paintings. His "prop room." He is a great painter and such a nice guy. That is a modern day master to study. That had to be a great experience!
I didn't know who Morgan was when I saw the intro to this video. Then I saw a thumbnail where Morgan was interviewed by Focus on the Family where he was giving his testimony. Now I know who Morgan is. He did say his mom suggested checking out some tiny school, which was the same story Jeff Watts told, but he didn't say it was Fred Fixler's school. So COOL.
The Lil Jon "yeeaaahh" caught me so bad😂😂😂. You looked great with that outfit. It seems like a great expirience meet one of your artist idols. One day i will meet you Proko.
I was lucky enough to do one of the few workshops he ever did, so many years ago at the Scottsdale Artist School. He was one of the most influential people to me, truly one of the greatest artists. Loved this video!
Knew of Mr Weistling's art just a couple days before. One artist was reviewing composition and style features of Arcane series. When talking about additional hues in backgrouns and objects, Weistling's work was mentioned as an example of such a pallette. Looking at his work I at first thought of some XIX to early XX century painter, but it turns out ihis guy's alive and super fun to hang out with 😅
I know this would be hard to pull off but I would love to see a roundtable with Morgan, Jeff Watts and Tim Gula. Would be fascinating to hear 3 amazing artists from the same lineage get together.
Hopefully one of your art heroes isn't Mike Mignola. One of the only artist I met that was surprisingly bad and has almost made it hard to enjoy his art at all. I hope he was just having a bad day, but I had talked with other people about my meeting with him and many had similar bad treatment by him with their interactions. Very sad.
I think its fine to like someones work but not like them as a person. Artists are humans, full of flaws, dont put anyone on a pedestal they never asked to be on. Of course people are going to be on their best behaviour on a youtube channel with 2 million subscribers 😅😅
@@drenamilton9425 I completely hear you and I didn't think meeting him would be so bad that it would stick with me and change the way I see his work. It just caught me off-guard since I was meeting a bunch of people and was amazed how great everyone else was. I guess he was just adding balance to the system. :)
Thank you for having us over, Morgan! Check out more of his work at www.morganweistling.com/
Morgan's 2005 DVD ('Homework') basically changed my life. Art daddy for sure!
wow I didn't know you dont have a check mark
Same!
Art Daddy~
Your videos led me to study Morgan's paintings. His " color notes" are something to behold.
Art daddy 4 life
His art is absolutely amazing! The chillest people are the most creative. Their sense of humor is just immaculate 🤣😂
4:40 yeah definitely appreciate Morgan actually showing you first that the prop gun is, in fact, empty.

Love his work, bought his videos ….each painting speaks to you and tells you a story
When he said he was the janitor , I pictured “a beautiful mind” Morgan sneaking around creating masterpieces .
Man he's such a chill guy! Lovely to see how much fun he has painting

Love Weistling's work especially the way he plays with color temperature so this was a treat. Also 5:20 is hilarious, look forward to part 2!
I like how you destigmatized the whole, "Never meet your heroes," idiom 😄
Loud and clear 👌
Congratulations on meeting your Art parent Proko; you deserve it

The coolest part is the fellowship of the ring going around in the studio. A really cool display.

What an amazing video. You two are so much fun together! Awesome info, too. Thank you so much, and I look forward to Part 2!!
"I'd give up my non-dominant hand to clash swords with my art daddy" is quite a sentence
Stan: I can take my pants off.
Morgan: Please dont.
5:22 It returns
Well, you’re my art hero.
Yea yes I know !!!
gold
"You're gonna make a great husband"
I laughed so hard at that lol
Yaay
9:51 Wait a minute. Why are a bunch of DSLR camera bodies hung up as counter weight for that boom light!
Were there no sandbags at hand??
Wow
I wish I could see those original Loomis books
Well, mine are all dead, so... I'm going to meet them eventually.
i met howard chakin at a comic book con in cleveland back in 1980. he was so abrupt and rude i never talked to another artist after that experience
Okay. Full disclosure. This guy is what the adult kids would call "cool af". I would have to agree.
Stan: I am so excited to be here, I can take off my pants
Morgan: Please don't
Took screenshot of mr.proko for my own drawing study 😀
Waiting for it too long
12days of Proko begins
🍀
What a flex to own the originals from the Loomis books. 🤣
anger is not the jedi way young Stan .
I could see Stan as a Red Dead Redemption character in the game lol.
"A critique hahah (this guy what a joke)". "(oh shit he's serious)" LMFAO
Hilarious. Great video.
5:18 I laugh so hard haha
he's even got two long-legged daughters 3:13
6:20
bleeps in Proko's videos are happening more often, I noticed
6:43 .... bruh
"Never Don't Meet Your Art Heroes"
**sad south-american noises**
Stan getting trolled and roasted by Morgan Weistling. Completely destroyed. Obliterated.
Nice "F$#@...ing" car!
Is it weird that I think his voice is hot 😆
Put his paintings as the thumbnail silly
A Tesla car, you don't see that everyday..
You should come to the Netherlands

Yes
Actually I was muhahaha 🗿💀⛄️🤦♂️
@@justinsagche9461 uhh no?
