Though I only recently got into your music, it's quickly gotten a chokehold on my heart. This video perfectly fits the song, especially the style of animation used - it's intimate and charming, with the masks for the characters physically creating the melancholy and slight edge the lyrics bring. Perfectly encapsulates the long Midwest twilights of my childhood. Thank you both, Theo, Nate, for this wonderful experience, and so beautifully creating scenes such as these :)

For me this band has been in my life for 3 years and thank you to Nate and all the rest of you for being the band that made me fall in love with music (Yes I'm a sixteen year old who only got into music when she was 13, I'm lived a sad life lmao). The music of this band has honestly been one of those things that has circled my life for those 3 years. Meeting my the first real friend in five years, starting high school and waiting for the album to drop, falling in love for the first time, coming up with stories and writing, going through one hell of a brake up for the first time, coming to grips with being trans, doing an art project with the Mt. Hekla art, all of that (and so much more than I could ever remember) and this band and it's music has been by me through all of it. I would change nothing, and I hope to one day see you in concert. Nate, I hope you never lose your passion for music, it is a constant inspiration to me, and I hope one day Raccoon Tour gets the love it deserves.

I remember listening to Sofarinrunning for the first time and thinking “This is gonna’ go somewhere.” And by god it did. I remember religiously following everything Nate posted desperate for SOMETHING more to come out. You wouldn’t believe the excitement that ran through me when Dentonweaver and Horrorshow dropped. I don’t think I listened to anything else for a few days, honestly. Then the full album dropped and holy shit man. I hadn’t cried while listening to an album since Trench dropped in 2018, but hearing the final version of Sofarinrunning just did something to me. The entire album (and the band) quickly became and still are to this day some of my favourites ever. This music video is so fuckin’ cool, and I’m excited for everything that follows. Raccoon Tour will always have a very specific place in my heart. It’s nice seeing it evolve into something that’s thematic and creative.
