- Refinishing the repair work from part 1. Pretty straight forward if you watch the video. The color formulas that are necessary are the basecoat formula.
Nexa Aquabase / PPG Envirobase Part numbers
Sealer.....ECS25 Gray Sealer
Basecoat Silver ....P990 8981 (1:1) w/ P990-8986 THERE IS NO PAINT CODE! THIS IS THE FORMULA!
Mid-coat / Flake coat....P990-8999 w/HOK MF01 Gold mini flake mixed by weight @ (100.0) parts to (.2) parts of flake. Very little is needed.
Candy....SEM Mandarin candy concentrate mixed 4:1 with DBC500 Color blender
Clearcoat....DCU2021 3 Coats

Great job I’ve been painting for 30 years and I very rarely see someone do work like myself and I’m not saying there’s no one out there I just don’t come across it. I always try to do my best and use good quality products which I can see you do as well. I can definitely tell you care about your work and the quality and it’s important to have a professional quality job at the end of the process. Again great job and I’m very pleased to see there are more people who put a piece of themselves into there work 👍🏼

I have used sata guns for years that iwata gun looks to be doing good job
To bad the car wasn't brought to you when the fabrication part was being completed. Can certainly see the advantages to the way you would have completed the task vs what was done. Although your ability to make it "all good" in the end was amazing. Very cool outcome .... 😎

Most painters will not blend a candy paint job 99 percent it always shows. This guy is good I can say this. It's is very hard to match a candy paint job to the old candy paint job

My 1970 chevelle just went in for complete body and paint. Came across your channel trying to just learn and watch the process. I'm going PPG 9700 black, white SS stripes with a touch of Pearl, and VC5700. I was told around gallons worth of VC5700 with cutting and buffing to get it like glass.
Based on what yours have looked like straight out of the gun I'm super excited for mine. Would love to know your thoughts. Thanks so much for making these videos. I'm learning a lot and makes me excited for mine to be finished.
