Overview of the Cerbo GX / Ekrano Products from Victron Energy

For a period in 2024 Victron was offering three versions of the Cerbo GX as we detailed in this video (Cerbo GX, Cerbo-S GX and the MK2 model). Now, starting in early 2025, they are eliminating the Cerbo GX and the Cerbo-S GX so that there will, once again, be only one single model which is the MK2 version. In other words. the Cerbo GX MK2 replaces the original Cerbo GX and the Cerbo-S GX is no longer available. Victron also offers an “all-in-one” model called the Ekrano with integrated screen but, since all the connections are on the back of the screen, it only makes sense if this screen is located near your power system which is often under the bed/garage area of a camper van.
This "GX family overview" video compares the "original" Cerbo GX with the newer, lower-cost Cerbo-S GX as well as the upcoming "replacement" to the Cerbo GX that is called the MK2 for now. We also take a look at the all-in-one Ekrano GX.

What no-one seems to mention is that you can use an iPhone, iPad instead of the Touch50 or 70 thereby saving a few quid

Does the mark 2 have more compute( CPU and memory) than the original cerbo gx . The Ekrano GX has significantly better hardware than the original cerbo gx.

According to the Victron Community post below, "CPU of the Cerbo GX remains the same, dual core. CPU of the Ekrano GX is upgraded to quad core."

@@VanlifeOutfitters as the cerbo gx is 4 years old that probably suggest the CPU is 6 a years old design , quite impressive they can still find them that old considering a new generation every year or so due to technological advances

Better question, did the Victron Part Number change? Or we left looking for serial numbers that indicate the change?

The part numbers are different. The original Cerbo GX is BPP900450100 and the new one is BPP900450110.
