Dude I knew you could use glitter in candles!!! So many “ CANDLE MAKERS “ say you can’t or shouldn’t. I think the way you’re doing it is awesome! I don’t see why this wouldn’t work. I’m soooooo doing this! GLITTER is my life!!!! ❤️✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨❤️ oh yeah good job btw!!!!!!
Thank you so much! Glitter is my life too!! Haha. I would recommend using biodegradable/eco glitter because it’s actually made out of some kind of plant base, instead of plastic. I’ve seen lots of ppl use the eco glitter for their candles so I will be doing that for the next batch 🙃 thank you so much for subscribing 😍
it's NOT that you can't use glitter, it is suggested that one should opt for eco glitter or biodegradable glitter. It's mainly for safety reasons. Regular glitter can be flammable and toxic when burned. It can be harmful for the environment, animals, ocean life and humans. But, yes, glitter is soooo beautiful, and these candles are amazing. Thank you for sharing this.
How do you use so much glitter on top without the wick clogging? Also, are you using a compatible type of glitter with the candles? Since regular glitter is flammable. Wish you said those things in this video
Do they burn well? Totally would like to try this but I want to make sure that the wick won't get clogged with the glitter so do you have any issues with that. You're absolutely beautiful
Thank you!!😊 I did not have issues with the wick and glitter because I kept the wicks long. Added the glitter then cut the wicks once the wax dried. I also would recommend trying eco/bio glitter cause they are plant based
Your candles are beautiful. Can I use any kind of glitter or is there certain glitters for candle making. I'm in the learning process. Thank you for the video.
Hi... I've eatcgbtiur video and tried to do my own glitter candles.. How I'm new to this.. 🙈.. I have sinkholes is there a way of repairing them without destroying the glitter on top? 🤞
Thank you very much! I used glitter from hobby lobby. I would look into using eco glitter. It’s a biodegradable glitter that is made from a plant type base. So when you burn the candle you won’t have to worry about the glitter burning cause most glitter is made of plastic. If you go on Amazon and look up eco -glitter, there are some nice color options😊 my next glitter candles will be with eco-glitter.
Thanks fir the info! I will test them. Planning to only use the glitter on the sides if the jar to avoid wick as much as possible. I will definitely test
Thank you for the comment! I did only one coat light coat of the water based glue and water mixed together. Then after adding the glitter, I let it dry for awhile before adding the soy wax. Thanks!💕
After I pour the soy wax, I gently sprinkle the glitter and it spreads over the surface all on its own, it’s fun to watch! I used glitter from a craft store, but my next glitter candles will be with eco-glitter which is safer because there is no plastic in the glitter. I tried different size glitters and they all floated on the top nicely 😊
I have done tests runs with the glitter candles. When the wax melts the glitter floats on top of the wax and floats away from the flame. As long as you burn the candles properly and safely, the glitter does not get in contact with the flame.
@@daseylove969 Exactly... There's No way this is safe. Glue & Water plus the Glitter. That's major toxicity plus that glitters gonna clog & choke that wick. They're pretty but No Way... You'll be in Peoples Court!! 😬
Thank you! I would recommend using eco-glitter/biodegradable glitter that doesn’t have plastic in it. The jars I believe are 8.5oz and honestly these wicks are from amazon. They aren’t the greatest. But if you go to candlescience.com they tell you the specific size wick for whatever size jar you’re doing. Also the wicks are very long so when I put the glitter, none of it attaches to the wick because then I cut it and it’s clean. Thank you for your comment💕😍
@@stmnthomedecor9073 Thank you so much! does the glitter remain on the glass even when the jar gets hot? or does it melt into the wax and leaves the glass patchy? I want to try but I am so nervous lol!
@@xoxoilovehissoulxoxo the glitter I used just stuck to the glass once the wax was gone. But if you use eco/biodegradable glitter, it might blend with the wax cause of the heat. I have some candles prepped so I still have to make my new candles with the eco glitter!

I did not have any problems of the glitter clogging the wick. When I put the glitter on top, I keep the wick long, so none of the glitter gets on the wick. Once the wax is solid, that’s when I cut the wick and the glitter is set in the wax. When I burned the test candles, the glitter would float away from the wick. No, I kept the wick long because I used extra long ones. Added the glitter, then once the candle was completely set, I cut the wicks so then glitter never touched the wick. I also would recommend using eco-glitter/biodegradable glitter, it is plant based, not plastic based.
I made 6 different sizes and shape candles. I watched the candles burn and when the wax melted, the glitter moved away from the flame. I would still recommend making glitter candles with eco-glitter. what glitter are you using? Has mainstream glitter is made of plastic, it is either PLA, PET, or other types of polymers. When they burn, melted plastic creates toxic and dangerous smoke dangerous for any living creature. At the end of the day, the candle you wanted to use for relaxing, meditating, or just decorating ends up being bad for your health and contributes to pollution.Better to use Mica Powder or Biodegradable Candle Glitter.
