🐶 WOOF WOOF! Wasn't planning an upload today, but I managed to get this one finished, and it means I can get more out sooner! So, in time for the upcoming Snyder Cut, it was about time I dedicated an episode to the world famous Justice League Of America!
    .
I hope this helps out some of you who maybe didn't know where to begin with this team. Or maybe share this so it can help out someone else? If you like it, give it a thumbs up! I can't believe we're less than 100 subscribers away from 2,000! That's insane, but thank you for the support. I do have a tip jar on Kofi which is also greatly apprecieted!
    .
Hopefully will have a review up for you next, and of course we've got the Live Stream on Friday, but until then, stay Mad, Doggs! WOOF WOOF! 🐶

I agree, The Justice League: War (start of the New 52) was probably the best Justice League story I've ever read. With a great story and amazing art by Jim Lee, this book drew me into the Justice League like never before.

This was such a good video because there really is a different recommendation for pretty much every type/age of reader. I like that you also recommend movies/series to watch that can help to understand what is going on more. My 10 year old loves youtube (probably way too much) and she's trying to find things to read/watch from the same subject so I'm going to get her to watch your video and see if there's anything that takes her fancy. Keep up the awesome work and I couldn't agree more about Mark Waid (he really doesn't get mentioned enough in my eyes and his Irredeemable run is one of my favorite reads).

New 52 Justice League was my main introduction to DC and the league, with the exception of Green Lantern as I was already reading Geoff John’s run pre-new 52. Love new 54 JL and 100% agree on JL Dark too!
Recently read the JL by priest deluxe and while yes it’s better than the Hitch run, I didn’t enjoy it enough to keep the deluxe which is now up for sale.

Really glad to see the Meltzer run made the list! It was my first Justice League title, and actually just one of my first comic titles in general, which really kicked off my reading and collecting. Had a great crossover with the Johns JSA run too and I love how it focuses on a lot of the less mainstream members.
Recently picked up the deluxe HC so really hoping it lives up to my fond memories of the title!
Also the stuff that came after that was written by Dwayne McDuffie I really loved too. He was a writer on the a Justice League cartoon and I think his issues somehow had a very similar vibe. I really hope that his issues get collected in a deluxe HC to go after the Meltzer one, but somehow doubt it will.
And man, the Justice League cartoon was incredible. One of the main reasons I know anything at all about the DCU and its characters! Really glad to see it got a spot on the list! 😄
Great video as always Dogg! WOOF WOOF! 🙌👊🐶

Legit it's because we share a mind 😂 Meltzer is very under rated in my eyes when it comes to JL! Glad you were a fan of the series too, where do you rank it amongst the others? 😇
Looking forward to Friday mate! Thanks for watching the video! WOOF WOOF! 🐶

My first justice league stories were those in the silver age omnis which was extremely well received by myself I thought it was excellent and a very good starting point for anyone looking to see how the league started. This is a great segment Marcus don’t listen to those who say your opinion is wrong or you know nothing. Well done mate keep up the good work 👌🔥🔥🔥 woof woof 🐶

I always like hearing people enjoying silver age comics :) I feel they tend to get glossed over as dated, but hearing your thoughts makes me want to check them out, Declan! Thank you for the support though, as long as people enjoy the videos, I'll keep making them! WOOF WOOF! 🐶

He's underrated now because some of his recent stuff has been just...dire when he used to be a literary god in my eyes. What he did with Wally West was amazing and I will be first in line when his flash run gets an omni. Sady like Bendis (another writer whom I used to love) it seems like his best days are behind him.

Does JLA by grant Morrison take place directly after The Death and Return of Superman? I'm planning on reading John Bryne's Superman up to Death and Return of Superman when I can manage to buy a copy the omnibus and I'd like to read a Justice League series with that Superman.

    Hi

  • @jeffsuter344
    @jeffsuter344 3 года назад +1

Sorry New 52, nor Rebirth, nor Flashpoint etc., are not "real" DC comics, another poor and unnecesary reboot that ultimately failed, continuity canon and legacy destroyed (just like Dr. Who). DC should have stopped at Crisis on Infinite Worlds. If you want to introduce new readers then the default position is always from the beginning. The Silver Age in this case. A time when comics were a true synthesis of literature and visual art. Unlike today where comics are largely children's picture books for adults because post 18s love a pretty splash page but have trouble being able to read! And they like btight shiny things - look squirrel. The only reccomendation I agree with was Justice League International - with one of the most fun sequences with Black Canary, Guy Gardner and Batman.
