The dude in the Atlas had no idea how to drive. Come on man... My Atlas V6 is pretty damn good offroad.
Mine too....its AWD was tested to max 140kmph in highway snow blizzard....absolute gem💪💪 I made its AWD aggressive response via VCDS🤷♂️
@@ericbautista5956 Its a diagnostic tool for Vw audi bentley skoda seat etc. I used to sell it in ebay for usd400 with laptop.
I was saying the same thing. That guy driving the vw was not a driver. This video was super bias.
They are. This idiot doesn't know what he's doing. I laughed the entire time. Blazer. What a crock.
Bad driving in the Atlas. Definitely operator error.
Agreed. They're idiots. All they had to do was lock 50/50 but hey, they probably can't even spell Haldex let alone use it.
I agree, biased toward the blazer from the start, very obvious.
I feel like there was some hardcore Blazer bias going on here.
I believe the Chevy blazer did better because lighter…. weight always becomes a problem off-road
The traction control in the VW actually helps for this!! Don't turn it off! That driver was terrible! The blazer was better because he was not driving it!
Nice video, interesting tests actually, and beautiful scenery 🙂👍
2 litre Turbo aka GTI engine on VW might change the game given it has low-end torque starting at 1600 which adds up to nicely town driving experience.Chevy Blazer has proven to be effective off-roading.
I drove the 2.0T before I bought my VR6 Atlas. It was a complete dog. Long live the VR6.
@@InsaneBimmer If it was test drive, then it wasn't probably driven enough. 2 litre Turbo is actually peppier to drive due to low end torque.
Clearly the people who named that trail have not been to Switzerland. Even the non paved tracks are correctly drained without uneven surfaces
In Austria and Switzerland you use your muscles...
Great trailblazer video... learned nothing really about the off-road settings on the atlas.... bias much...
The trailblazer is different than the Blazer. The blazer is bigger and quite abit more expensive.
Great work by the videographers!
Driver error, just put in Atlas VAG driver and you will be surprised what Atlas can do at off road, Also Chevy much shorter which makes big difference, to make it even test, just take Atlas Cross Sport
Yes after owning Atlas, Pros are Best AWD & Space inside. Cons are Stiff Suspension & No Fogs🤷♂️🤷♂️
Chevy needs a ZR2 version of this, they have a prototype Police Interception shown online overseas at a show.
To be perfectly honest, neither of these vehicles are truely meant for heavy duty off roading. Neither of them are what anyone would call a "rock climber" and they are not meant to be as such. They don't have enough ground clearance or underbody armor, nor do the have "real" 4 wheel drive.. They are marketed as all weather, daily drivers with some very modest off road capability and both are perfectly suited for what they are intended... 95% of buyers of these two vehicles will never do more off roading than the occasional gravel driveway. That being said, both performed reasonably admirably for what they are. BTW, as a high school kid, I used to do this kind of off roading with my father's 1974, rear wheel drive, Ford F100 Ranger. So if these vehicles fell short in any way it was most likely driver error. Furthermore I would take the Chevy over the VW any day. The looks alone beat out the boring generic look of the VW. I also test drove an Atlas last year and found that the start-stop feature was noisy, intrusive and very annoying. It was poorly executed enough to make me suspect about the rest of the systems in the vehicle. VWs traditionally have spotty reliability records so I'm not willing to give them a chance.
It has an offroad mode, so use it, it is no Zr2 or Wrangler offroad, but it is better than a Wrangler on road.
The ground clearance is better on the VW
It's funny how so many people seem to think that all people need are either "Mall-Crawlers" or "Crazy-Offroader". Atlas, by all other reviews, does really well off-road. Even if it isn't the most crazy off-road capable, it is far more than a mall-driver. I wish RUclipsrs would quit with the false-dichotomy and use more object criteria, understanding what needs the vehicle was made for, and how well the vehicle executes that performance objective.
Lmfao!!!! Umm this duch bag was pushing the Chevy the whole time. They were letting off the gas on the vw making the system rethink what wheel needed traction.
Funny every other off roading video had no issues with the Altas off road doing was more extreme?!? Perplexed here has to be operator error..
Blazer rs AWD excelente por dónde la mires, costo beneficios genial, diseño que henamora muy bien axistida.
I will go with atlas Definitley!!! Bad driver and biased video still proved the quality of Atlas and quality engineering!
Mode off road extrême 😏
For a crossover the Blazer RS is nice, but man the two Js Jeep Cherokee and Japan Crossovers have really taken the Blazer offroad capabilities way down, those 4 door unibodies, back in the day the S10 was better than this offroad and the Zr2 got better, today Chevy has lockers and no 2 door Blazer Zr2, how sad. The Blazer RS is god offroad for what it is. It is interesting it can get traction with a wheel up in the air, and it goes good in the snown.
Atlas ruled , more tec in atlas , german technology way better than anybody , atlas driver not atlas frienly . once again . VW atlas Winner 🏆
The music is way to much. EDM off roading.
I found my tiguan to be a better offroad than the atles
These guys are clowns.
Poor review
I’d still buy the Atlas. The Blazer in my opinion looks ugly. And for the two maybe three times a year I’d go off road. I’ll take the German suv. I think it looks way better
I like the Blazer and I would take it over the VW, but how much of the poor VW performance was due to driver skill and/or understanding how to drive it based on how it’s systems work. Atlas is ugly too. In and out. Just put a pano sunroof and not such a childish interior in he Chevy. Anyhoo, clearly the Blazer was the winner.
A honda crv would be a better option then both of these overpriced soccer mom mobiles.
Shitty test. Weight, tires, driver capability...proved nothing! GTF!
Stop adjusting your glasses, it's annoying, Atlas, stay in the city!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
