    I can testify that this is so true! I was married over 30 years and gave up my career as an RN to support his military medicine career. Then he went thru a midlife crisis and divorced me for a younger woman. Right away God established that He would be my husband and provide for me! An aunt that I had no idea that she was wealthy left me $ which I have invested most of it to provide a revenue stream each month to supplement the alimony. Also the life insurance he had on himself must be maintained as part of the divorce settlement. I also got the house which he is paying off. Every time I’ve started to feel scared about finances with the economy or if medical bills come or car needs work God always shows me with a boost in my investment $ coming in. He really will provide for us!! He is faithful!

    Solid content! I was married 54 years when my husband died. Before that happened we chose to sell an upscale house and invest by buying a home outright. I only have to pay taxes once a year on a modest but beautiful house.
    God has blessed me in the past with a wise husband, and now He is my husband and caretaker.

    I am divorced and when I was married I remember having that fear “what if I get divorced.” Even though that fear came true, God has been my provider as a single mom. I was a homemaker before my separation and divorce, but God provided a job for me and has taken care of my needs. When we think, “I could never do that” this is a true statement. God hasn’t provided the strength for us to walk that road until/if we need to walk that road. He does empower and strengthen us for whatever life challenges come our way, and it’s a beautiful story with Christ in charge!

    Thank you for sharing this content, it is definite words of wisdom. If I could add my 2 cents; having been a homemaker for the past almost 21 years. I've had side jobs/side gigs, but taking care of my family has been my main "job" so to speak...
    I manage the finances in my home and through prayer and God's word i have learned some things. Homemakers here are some additional financial tips:
    1. KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON FINANCIALLY IN YOUR HOME... do not be ignorant; make sure you know the cost of the bills that come in and how they are paid. Even if your husband pays the bills, you should still know what is happening.
    2. BOTH SPOUSES SHOULD HAVE LIFE INSURANCE. if you as the wife passes away, your hubby will need child care etc... and your life insurance policy can give him a cushion to help with that and allow him some room to grieve and console your children without having to rush right back to work. Funerals are also expensive and it can help with that.
    3. God forbid... but in case of an unfortunate divorce: KNOW YOUR LEGAL AND FINANCIAL RIGHTS AS A WIFE AND HOMEMAKER; educate yourself about divorce laws and rights in your country/state or province.
    4. As was said in the video: BE WISE WITH YOUR MONEY!!! This will help you and your spouse. Have something set aside for a "rainy day" the bible says in Prov. 21:20 that "a wise man saves for the future, but a fool spends all he gets." (TLB);
    -->HAVE AN EMERGENCY FUND: if your husband loses his job, or gets injured and has to take time off work, have some money set aside for such emergencies.
    5. BECOME FINANCIALLY LITERATE. Educate yourself on how finances work, this is not just in case of death or divorce, it's wisdom that will help your family/husband financially as well. If I could suggest: Dave Ramsey's "Financial Peace University" content.
    6. STAY OUT OF DEBT as much as is possible. And pay off whatever you may already have.
    7. FIND A WAY TO MAKE SOME INCOME WHILE YOU ARE CARING FOR YOU HOUSEHOLD. it may not be a lot, but it will help. With the side jobs I have, we have been able to go on vacations, become debt free, have an emergency fund, help others etc... my hubby makes good money(thanks be to God) and the money I make has been icing on the cake.
    8. If you have children: TEACH THEM ABOUT GOOD, GODLY FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP. Most of us wish we had the knowledge we have now, when we were younger. This is your chance to pass it on and help your kids get a head start financially and of course in other areas of life as well.
    I have more, but I will stop here... since I've already written a book with this comment.🤦🏽‍♀️😅
    Thank you @Bindi Marc for your content. It is a blessing.

    My mother was 26 when my 29 yr/old father died, leaving her with 3 children under the age of 7 and a mortgage on a home in a great area.
    Life Insurance saved us, kept us in the house and at our good schools
    .. .. you are never too young to buy life insurance if you have dependents.
    Death rates in 18 to 45 y/o have increased over 40% since 2021, according to the life insurance underwriters.
    I'll leave it at that.

    These are practical steps! My husband and I were having this exact conversation and I said that if God calls him home early (divorce or separation isn’t an option), that means God believes I have all the skills needed to care for myself and my children. God provides! I know women who had no life insurance or retirement accounts and even though they struggled for the first few years , God provided for all their needs and in the end they have a home and are being cared for by themselves or their children. We may look at them and call them fools for “trusting” their husbands but they trusted in God and are not out on the street.

      Charnele, I love that you say divorce and separation are not an option for you. With compassion for those that have experienced the pain of divorce, I still believe that it would be far less common if it were "not an option". My husband and I did not ever throw that word at each other, even with the pain of losing a child. We have now been married 32 years and counting. They have not all been easy years or perfect years, but God has been faithful through it all.

    Yes! It’s called Life Insurance! He’s young….get a million $ policy on him. Get one on you, too! We have 9 children and there are policies on both of us. He can’t maintain that home and those children alone if you die. He must consider what he will do in that event, just as you do. I’ve been home 32 years now and we’ve always had life insurance, just like we’ve never driven a car off the lot without having it insured!!

    Speaking of insurance policy- also any financial advisor will advise you to have 2 to 3 months' worth of expenses saved in an account in the event of an emergency. These emergency funds will keep you covered until the insurance can send you a check. Your husband should set that up to cover the household expenses. As a housewife, I have opened my own retirement account. I look for my own investment opportunities and attempt to spend my money wisely. I am still working on that last one. Of course, tithing and giving are important also. I took a look at your dresses yesterday, so lovely!! I've been lurking on your channel for a month or so now and I am so inspired by you to serve God by being a better wife. Speaking of your story of the widow, I was watching a prophet on RUclips and he told a story a woman had shared with him. One of her water pipes (I think water pipe? some sort of pipe) under her home had burst or broken. So she said a prayer, "Lord, if my husband was here, I would send him down to fix it. But he is not here. And You said, you will care for the widow. So, Lord, I'm going to need you to fix my pipes." and she heard a noise in the basement, and her pipes were fixed.

    Also, a big hurdle for me (among other things your videos have helped me discover and face) is that I work and so when I get home I feel like I take a lot of time cleaning and organizing and I feel like that takes a lot of time away from my children. I am going down to part time (I'm a nurse so two shifts a week is plenty) so I think that would help. Make sure you have a college degree before you get married! That way in case of a divorce you’ll be able to provide for yourself and your children. After my divorce when my girls were younger I worked during school hours so I was able to be home for them while still having a great income that allowed us to live comfortably. We went on vacation five times a year, own house, and enough money for dance classes, yoga, violin, CrossFit, gardening and whatever hobbies they decided to have 😅I’ve seen it too much; women without a way too provide for themselves, stuck in a marriage with a cheating/asshole/narcissistic husband. When you get married no one likes to think about it ending but Be prepared for different scenarios! You owe that to yourself and your children!

    God the Father PROVIDES for His Daughters! I am a living witness! When I decided to leave my job in 2017 to dedicate my service to my husband, home, and family. Even when my husband decided a year later he did not want to be married to me anymore. The Lord told me that because I sacrificed and put my home before my work that even though my husband was abandoning me (and the family), God would STILL make sure enough income would come in where I could REMAIN a homemaker (even as a single mom). Since then God has NEVER disappointed me! As a matter of fact not only am I STILL a homemaker FIRST (and business woman second), but I have started investing and have managed to save over $30k in the process. God told me "As your Father, I will make sure you are financially provided for until I send your TRUE husband." Think about it queens, what GOOD father would leave his daughter without to struggle? None! I am a living witness! #allpraises #toGOD

    Can you please speak to moms with little babies? My friend and I are both newly married, with little boys. We are encouraged by your videos, but wonder what you would advise new moms? There seems to be much less time in the day for homemaking!

      I’m a young mom of 4 children, I’m 27 & my husband is 29. He works about 50 hours a week and I stay at home with the kids (ages 3 months - 6 years) it’s super doable with a schedule and routines for the kids. I have a task for each day of the week + my daily chores, and my children thrive with morning, afternoon, and nighttime routines. Of course it’s not possible to do everything with little kids, but it’s certainly doable. I stopped hand washing dishes and started using a dishwasher, we also were gifted a robot vacuum. These two things help me save so much time every day! My 2 older children are learning to do chores (like their own laundry & clean their rooms) & they give themselves baths, which also helps. It’s all about time management and being organized. But also ask God for help in this area! Without Him, I would be lost trying to manage it all.

    Maybe because there are so many stories of abusive marriage. My mother was an houswife, she didn't finish university, never worked, never earned a single euro. She was a stay at home mom and she made us pay for it, she hated it every single day, saying to me and my sister that her life was miserable because of us. My father was a wife beater and he was abusive and violent on us to, and she did nothing to protect us saying that is a sin to divorse and separate what God has united. She had her fault in this, she was manipulate and always angry and aggressive. I'm so afraid that something like that could happen to me.

    THIS is why I tell women. U HAVE TO HAVE a policy that replaces his income and pays you his salary @ 8% of that income or more. You also need a hood and trusted advisor, better yet ladies in your spare time learn the basics of economics and finances so that you don’t have to deplete that money if it ever came to it.

    Beautiful but very expensive for the value of a polyester dress. Just being honest. $48 at the most ❤️

    • @LaBonnieBelle
      @LaBonnieBelle 2 года назад +9

      We’re all so accustomed to fast fashion, cheap fabrics made by workers who are being underpaid overseas. It can make $90 seem expensive for a polyester dress but it does depend on the quality of the sewing and the wages that were paid.
      I know what you mean though, I only buy natural fibre clothing. I would happily save up and buy any of those dresses for $200 if it was natural fibres and I knew the person sewing it was being paid a fair wage to do a good job of sewing it properly so the seams are strong and long lasting. ☺️
      Would love to know more info on where they’re made etc xx

    What if you have a career and you get in a car accident and become a quadriplegic and he doesn't want to care for you because he wanted a fun, materialistic life? You can't plan for everything! You could always be business about it and get a postnup recognizing your contribution as a homemaker.
