- In this 2000 point game the dreaded Necrons take on a speedy Craftworld Eldar list. This one is supper close and goes down to the wire.

Some Craftworld graphic designer from the 80’s has gone wild on those jet bikes.
actually, in most cases, you still get assassinate even if the opponent ressurects the character, no matter how they ressurect the character. Unless something specifically says otherwise.

Normally, I root for Winters to win; but that Space Elf just looks so cool. Go, Pointy Ears!
So you can roll the dice one at a time, you don't have to roll them all at once. Hence why you can save one fate dice for the last save.
Love your channel Winters. You can tell the love you put in with your terrian.Especially like watching the group play. Just watched an old one with Chewy, Say Hi Paul and the Claw. Miss those guys.
AMAZING Eldar paint, but also that Eldar ruin terrain is smokin. I'm not a big fan of yellow as a color, but the yellows in both armies makes it feel like these two have been enemies since their earliest days during the War in Heaven. Really great stuff.
That Eldar army is absolutely striking, such an excellent set of painted models; very visually appealing.

Pretty certain Fire Prisms are S18 on their main beam. They'd have been wounding Doomatalkers on a 2+?
Absolutely, great video buuut alot was done incorrectly the entire match..
Just a rules thing, a Warlock Skyrunner gives his Unit's weapons [Ignores Cover] he doesn't pick a unit to not get cover, Vypers take away the Benefit of Cover from one unit that they have hit during that Shooting Phase.
The Phoenix Gem doesn't deny Assasination, but you can potentially score it twice from the same Character (kill them in the shooting phase, they get back up, then charge and kill them in the fight phase)

At around 1:00:00, the technomancer would have gotten feel no pain saves against the precision shots, as he was leading a unit at the time. Mind you, he still might have died, but he would have gotten the fnp saves
And the normal saves should have been made agaisnt the bodyguard units ++4, then the technos FnP. Precsion only does damage to the character after weapons successfully wounds the attached unit but no 4 ups were made so no change of result anyways :P

That terrain, and the effort that has gone into laying is out is fire. You and StrikingScorpion are the leaders in this. 😀

Don't the canoptek spiders have a 6+ FNP aura for vehicles ?
I played that 2 c'tan, 3 wraith with technomancer list a few weeks back with a kooky marine list. Needless to say, got absolutely minced.

just a minor thing: spiders give vehicles a 6+fnp (and everything else a 4+fnp against psychic). since they are vehicles they also get that 6+ fnp.

I've been playing 4th and HH, decide to check this out after not olaying New 40k in a while then see why I left, hundreds of re-rolls everything has a 4+ Inv save.
Yes because everyone running multiple Contemptors, 2+ Sgt Artificer armour and reaction shooting with 10 Lascannon Marines is just perfectly fine 😂

Great battle report I've really enjoyed it but, i feel like the necron player should be hitting those bike units which where -1 to hit on 5+ instead of 4+, or am i missing something?
They’re heavy so get +1 to hit if they stay still

I love seeing Eldar die, even beautifully painted ones like these!
Winters rolls were insane this game but the last few turns of invuln saves from the Eldar kept them going and almost made up for it.
You can take necron warriors in units of 10 still right? Feel like 2x10 and 1x20 is way better when you're tasking them with objective babysitting.
Great bat rep as per usual Winters and another good guest.
Finally, are we ever going to see my bois the Ad Mech ever again? It's been so long. I know they're gutter tier but you could match them up against another weaker army for a fun game. Seeing these two great armies with all their abilities and re-rolls makes me jealous.
Oh wow, if the Eldar ppayer had remembered to snipe out the technomancer before shooting the wraiths, that would've got a couple more, maybe even got the unit!

Brilliant game and down to the wire is is always great. I can't find the rule, but I'm sure killing a character counts for assassinate even if he comes back. The terrain on this one was interesting, having that massive piece in the middle made for some interesting tactical choices.

I think a draw was a decent result, I thought it was going to be all Eldar after the first turn, really enjoyed the game 👍🏻👍🏻

Yeah I forgot about it until later in the game. Could have had another unit of shroud runners zipping round causing problems!

Great game chaps! Winters, I would recommend Gauss Immortals, especially with Plasmancer! They will put some serious work in for the Canoptek court!👍
and led by an overlord, so you can do the strategm to give them devestating wounds for free once a turn. in such a case, the tesla carbines might work better, as every 5+ to hit will be 3 hits with the plasmancer. And odds are you'll get a few 6's on the wound rolls.
You can't do that anymore, only the plasmancer will get Dev Wounds now.@@skarnak1

Btw I love how the two fire prisms are mirrored colour wise, looks fantastic!
@@zHawkC unfortunately the paint does have a tendency of leaking under the stencils so I end up having to do a lot of clean up

What a fantastic game! A Necron list without a Monolith or C'Tan gets a draw with OP Eldar army... Jesus... I really enjoyed this one.
Few things i saw:
Spyders only have 1d6 shots, you fired 4d6 with 2 spyders
Assassintate still gives points, if the character stands back up.
Feels kind of stupid to me that the neutral control point can clearly go on a side of the map that favors one team over the other. Rather a big downside of a map with such a big showpiece thing in the center. Good for the Eldar player, but still.
