Final Fantasy VII Rebirth - Gilgamesh and Virtual Sephiroth boss fights

I banged my head against Sephiroth for an entire day and then switched to this setup and beat him first try.
The first half of Gilgamesh was pretty rough, but all in all it was pretty easy.

So there is a VR sephiroth fight! Sweet!
I FINALLY BEAT Virtual Sephiroth! I used Cloud, Barrett, & Tifa. All I needed to do was have Barrett cast Barrier-All twice & I was able survive Virtual Sephiroth’s Octaslash each time. It was awesome.
My final attack was EPIC!!!
Cloud’s Limit Break Ascension occurred right after Sephiroth’s Limit Break cutscene for Octaslash. The game let Cloud go first & & I won! 😂
I never parried Sephiroth’s Shadowy Chains once.
1. Barrett cast Barrier-All 2x.
2. Tifa’s armor: Cetran Armlet
3. Tifa: Tranference Module
4. Cloud: Limit Booster
5. Cloud cast Regan-all at the beginning of each battle.
6. Tifa cast Haste-all at the beginning of each battle.
It only took me 30hrs 😂 I couldn’t beat Sephiroth’s Shadow Chains & I kept having stupid deaths to Alexander, Odin, & Gilgamesh.
Octaslash actually isn’t a cutscene so you would do your attack anyways.
Digging the music that plays for Virtual Sephiroth. Hopefully we get that in another Rebirth soundtrack

Is this the hardest boss in the game?
Yeah, as far as I know. I haven't finished all the VR missions yet though.
The real villain it's chadley virtual sephiroth he has new attack and he attack the non controlled characters what is this I mean for one accessory that much misery I have 3 gotterdamerungs on remake weiss took me days to beat him but virtual sephiroth it's ridiculous they went too far with this and the gotterdamerung it's not something unstoppable you can use limit but probably you will use level 1 limit so they don't do too much damage it's ridiculous I don't find it fun even still on remake that I have 3 gotterdamerungs still it's not worth it yet we still want to get it
Actually gotterdamerung can make things pretty easy to beat all the chapters on Hard mode, just have a different char with the medal that gives you lvl 2 limit from the start + First Strike + Limit Siphon, suck the limit from your other char with gotterdamerung and you'll have lvl 2 limit basically from the start of the battle.
This is how hard they should’ve made the bosses in the story’s gameplay. Instead of in a VR setting.

Getting the gotterdamerung requires you to go through probably the hardest challenge in the game. After going through this torture, you don’t really need gotterdamerung for anything else(maybe for bonds of friendship legendary bout), as you already went through the most difficult section of the game
uh how did you survive the first octaslash at half health with no barrier?? That would've forsure ended my entire party if it happened to me and also the second octaslash did way more damage than his first one? They must've made him way stronger in the update because he also doesn't wait for you to get back up before attacking you right after octaslash. At least not in my game. My characters don't even finish the animation of standing back up before he is already attacking them. And I'm using the same party and close to the same Materia load out as you.
I had barrier up for the first Octaslash. The rest of your message is cope.
Its the same game for everyone brother, believe me. I had fights with Sephiroth where he was extremely aggressive and others more maneagable.. RNG I guess. I used Barret / Tifa / Cloud, Barret is the best! He's a good tank, his block anymation is fast so you can spam it to stagger Sephiroth more easily. Just keep him healthy and buffed and use Lifesave to decrease / absorb part of the damage from octoslash.
