Funnily enough, Vengeance released 2 and a half years later from base V, and this video is actually 2 and a half times longer than the original one. And Seething Mansemat (and Untainted Wind) not being playable when they have such detailed and well crafted animations is a crime.
Cool as they look, I promise you neither skill is worth it. Seething Mansemat is just a weaker Hades Blast that does worse against phys resists and only has the guaranteed crits otherwise going for it, and Untainted Wind does less damage than friggin Mazandyne and costs a hideous 240 MP default just for a double debilitate and a whatever charm effect. Which can't pierce btw. If you want a double debilitate effect, Beelzebub is sitting there with his passive waiting for you to use him. If you're looking for a damage+debilitate effect, Yoko is literally unlocked in the route you fight Mastema, her Golf Clap of Doom does more damage and is Almighty so nothing resists it. And it's actually worth buffing the Panagia's since you can actually summon them from the compendium now. If you want to charm, Naamah's signature is stupid and really good for that. If Seething could pierce and Untainted Wind either did more damage or costed less, then maybe I could agree. But as is they're just cute little spectacles more than anything. And I'm the one guy who wanted Heliopolis Dawn and Dreadful Gleam as playable skills. (Well, one out of two ain't bad!)
@@DMSwordsmaster well if you playing on pc you can edit how much does this skill cost, and how will this skill work. So yeah the only reason we thought this skills are useless for player is because they didn't balance it and only put the numbers up there for bosses. They literally in fact can made 2 version of the same skills with different power/cost/attributes. Also the fact that some skills are straight useless to use like Megido Ark made me think their efforts with their animations isn't the same as their Balancing.

You know what's insane? Me watching this video and finally realizing the amount of content they added. Like, the drastic change. I look at the final bosses of each route and I finally realize that, yeah, if I had no idea what SMT was and looked at this video for SMTV, then looked at this, I'd be able to tell the difference in content density.
Agreed, This video is definitely one of the reason i prefer SMT combat animation instead of Persona. In old SMT even if there are no 3d animation but the demons voice alone made the skills look so live. Now we finally got to witness it in 3D since Nocturne and they really shown they can improve their demon actions in battle. I hope Persona 6 at least gonna intro a unique skill that similar to this
@@renhardhalim crazy take but after finishing P3R and starting SMT3 for the first time I immediately fell in love with how the demons felt expressive in combat compared to usually seeing the sees cast and the eventual reskinned shadow. The animations in SMT 3 sorta gave demons life and while its true that modern persona blows SMT 3 outta the water in terms of animation quality, for some reason seeing more than two different move animations for demons pleases me more. One of my favs to use rn is Baihu and I think it has 2 different melee animations for claw and bite attacks (compare its basic attack animation to hell fang) and 2 for support moves (focus makes him do a roar upwards and war cry makes him roar at the enemy). This isn’t an attack towards the persona games (in this context P5 and P3R) I just like game with a buncha “creatures” having emphasis on said creatures

I can't believe these animations are WAY better in this quality. Also, I saw some of the Pokemon's Uniques animations and they are as well as the simples Unique Demon attack animation. This game, really, put lots of effort in this.
Arguably this game might have the best monster capture battle animations. Pokemon's are cool but i doubt they can beat SMT VV animation. I mean each demon in this game have a unique physical attack, magic attack, dying, death, dialogue and idle animation not including the fact that some of them have unique skills that have an entirely different/unique animations and dialogue
Some of the Sword and Shield unique animations hold up to that but Scarlet and Violet definitely not. The best unique animations only compare to the low effort ones like Decarabia's Evil Eye. Something like Mirage Assault or Megido Ark simply isn't there. Most of SMTV(V)'s unique skills are clearly story boarded while the ones from Scarlet and Violet are clearly not
@@azure4622 It makes you think. There was a lot of effort put into how Pokémon act in the overworld like how Diglett actually try to hide in the shadows or wild Sandghast melting in the rain. And don't forget about how Mons like Walking Wake can actually walk on water. The story is actually pretty good and boss encounters felt fun. Music was amazing of course too. But then there's the technical aspects. Everything runs like ass and feels deeply unsatisfying. Frame drops aside, even something like tossing a Pokeball at wild Mons to start a battle feels clunky. After you hit the Pokémon it first took a sec and then turned around so that the battle can start. PLA actually had that part down. PLA also had pretty good move animations that were designed for open map encounters. Moves like Judgment and Phantom Force looked amazing but were confusingly not reused for SV. This game feels so 'schizophrenic' at times. This was clearly a very troubled dev cycle most likely due to pressure to release the brand new game and by extension new Pokemon the multi media franchise Pokemon revolves around.
I love how Dagda's signature skill isn't a reference to the Tuathe de Deanan (or however you spell it) or his role as a god of knowledge n stuff. It's that one skill from SMT4/4A random enemy demons had that just made your demons literally "get lost", reinterpreted as a usable skill as just having an instakill chance. Incredible. Now just give us Dormarth with Macca Beam skill that is basically energy drain fused with dekaja
Anyone else think it's odd how few unique elec skills there are? Like Souffle D'eclair, Raging Lightning, Keraunos are the only ones and all of them are pretty late game
@@renhardhalim I mean I wouldn't really say Loup Garou is "midgame" when it comes to the main story, and it's not about using them in battle per say it's just that there's literally like 3 unique elec skills that you can use and Vengeance added 0 new ones (I'm pretty sure) whereas every other element got at least 1 new unique demon-only skill
Well that may be linked to the fact that elec is the most underused element in this game with very few bosses weak to it, meanwhile ice and fire get all the glory

Yeah, they voiced everyone right? I'm only at Shinagawa but demons like Kikuri, Uzume and Kaya no hime had english voices when they didn't in the og, would have been sick if they got people from each country for every origin, but that's too crazy xd

I wish Storm Caller song was better. I've been using my first mermaid the whole game. She was in my starting lineup and finishing lineup to beat demi fiend
It could be good if it were like yoshitsune and always crit. The most you can do is get demeter on your team because she can make other megami, femme, lady demons magic skills crit, or it might be all allies. Getting crits on her skill would certainly make it better, crit zealot if you could get them consistently, and high ice pleroma to boost the damage more (crit zealot and a high pleroma is more efficient for damage as both give a higher base boost to damage than the normal pleromas, and you save the spot for another skill)
It comes in a sequence. False replication is like Ongyo-Ki's skill from Nocturne. Only one of the Tsukuyomi's are real, the others null everything. If you don't hit the real Tsukuyomi, he heals himself for a lot of HP. If you do hit him he transitions into using True Replication. For True Replication, all of the clones can take damage now. Tsukuyomi gains press turns on his next turn equal to the number of clones present, and a damage boost thanks to his passive.
false copys block attacks making you waste turns, while i think true can be hit but they boost his attack power? though im not really sure since by the time i fought him i was like on my third run atleast so he went down quick
The False Replication clones null everything, and Tsukuyomi uses Diarama if he did not take damage, but they also disappear once the turn ends The True Replication clones do take damage, but they also can fight back
nope just a few iconic ones, though some also have unique innate abilities but those dont really have animations to go with them and are usually a situational passive buff or a counter that just uses regular attack aimation

If you think this is like the persona series that has a dlc that can change the bgm from in game, its not. If your looking for something like this as said above, (if your playing on pc) there might be downloadble mods that changes the bgm on GameBanana.
Late reply, but you can get her by choosing the neutral option (Destroy the Throne) in the Canon of Creation campaign. After defeating her inside the Empyrium, you'll be able to summon her through Demon Fusion.

Surprised Azazel didn't get a unique move, dude usually has something unique in the Soul Hackers games and Dx2 he has a cool unique called Hell Guillotine. Pazuzu and Kurama Tengu used to have uniques back in Nocturne Belial usually had a unique Fire physical move
azazel have unique pasif skills that quite broken, actually he can use heat riser for all party without using heat riser active skills. read his innate skills

Souffle D'eclair is mid game, but you can get ruinous thunder for your character easilyif you're looking for early unique zio skills

It could be good if it were like yoshitsune and always crit. The most you can do is get demeter on your team because she can make other megami, femme, lady demons magic skills crit, or it might be all allies. Getting crits on her skill would certainly make it better, crit zealot if you could get them consistently, and high ice pleroma to boost the damage more (crit zealot and a high pleroma is more efficient for damage as both give a higher base boost to damage than the normal pleromas, and you save the spot for another skill)

What's the difference between Tsukuyomi's False and True Replications?
It comes in a sequence.
False replication is like Ongyo-Ki's skill from Nocturne. Only one of the Tsukuyomi's are real, the others null everything. If you don't hit the real Tsukuyomi, he heals himself for a lot of HP. If you do hit him he transitions into using True Replication.
For True Replication, all of the clones can take damage now. Tsukuyomi gains press turns on his next turn equal to the number of clones present, and a damage boost thanks to his passive.
false copys block attacks making you waste turns, while i think true can be hit but they boost his attack power? though im not really sure since by the time i fought him i was like on my third run atleast so he went down quick
The False Replication clones null everything, and Tsukuyomi uses Diarama if he did not take damage, but they also disappear once the turn ends
The True Replication clones do take damage, but they also can fight back

nope just a few iconic ones, though some also have unique innate abilities but those dont really have animations to go with them and are usually a situational passive buff or a counter that just uses regular attack aimation
All of them have an innate passive, Most of them are unique. Some of the shared ones are meant to work with other demons with the same ability

If you think this is like the persona series that has a dlc that can change the bgm from in game, its not.
If your looking for something like this as said above, (if your playing on pc) there might be downloadble mods that changes the bgm on GameBanana.
