Its funny to me how moves names get progressively longer the more powerful they are! I just imagine makoto goes from screaming to thor: do zio to do: ziodyne
Yep sometimes, though the SMT spells is a language on its own. There are some spells with longer spelling too. Maziodyne is a strong electric attack hitting all enemies. Megidolaon is a big one, there's one game where Lucifer has a Megidolaondyne spell I think unless I messed up the spelling. SMT V has Maziobarion. I tried looking up the longest spell name for fun, but the long ones are usually just spells with multiple words.
I’m glad they added the koh and ei line of skills so darkness and light can have damage options. Also seeing the different properties of physical skills makes me wonder why subsequent persona series didn’t do the same thing.
Definitely. I like to make builds for boss fights because those are the most challenging parts, and 99% of bosses are immune to insta-death dark and light so they ended up worthless in the original version. I like Ken and Koro more in this version! With different properties of physical skills, I think they wanted to simplify it into one physical kind only. Old Persona games like Persona 2 had even more types of skills, like 4 physical skill types and about 13 different elemental skills, but maybe people found it overcomplicated.
Damn... there were a lot of changes. Divine Judgement is now the ultimate damaging light attack. The aoe elemental fusion spells like ardhanari are gone. The only one that remained was Jack and I Best Friends became from the original heat riser to being charge and concentrate at the same time. In any case loving all of it. Hey, can I make a request? Could you do all costume exhibition with aoa and theurgy?
I miss some of the old fusion spells that are missing, too bad they couldn't put the Ardha persona in the game either, they were in Soul Hackers 2. But otherwise most skills are well made, not all but most are decent. For your all costumes request I'd like to but I'm burnt out for now, maybe later on.

Other than Maralagidyne? Yes. The good news is that they are just as impractical to use as ol penis head signature spell. Anytime you face a mob where every shadow is weak to the same element, a Ma-dyne + all-out attack will get the job done for less SP spent. For obvious reasons, if you are facing a lone powerful shadow or a boss, then your AoE spells are not worth the SP expenditure either. And if you are in the mid to late game, chances are very high that a mixed enemy mob or an encounter with multiple bosses will be set up in such a way where AoE casting will backfire on you.
I'm sorry but I prefer the og animations and eveb more the p5 ones. I feel like the the elemetal skills' animations are too basic compared to p5. Although some skills have gotten an upgrade like vorpal blade and garu/magaru.
I agree. P3R Agi line was small explosion, med explosion, and big explosion and bigger explosion, while P5 was small explosion, cluster bomb, fire pillar, and laser beam. I love how P5 can show the increase in power while also making them very different.
