Another useful tutorial! I'm familiar with dehaze in Lightroom and just like you I thought Affinity didn't have this feature until I tried to mess around with the menus trying to figure things out
And this is the first thing I do, came to your channel because I knew I was gonna get something useful
    Thanks for this!

Glad it was helpful! Surprised Affinity doesn't just make this an adjustment just like everything else. But yes, it differentiates them from other apps like Pixelmator Pro which doesn't have dehaze.

    Excellent example of compound mask

Thanks I put compound masks since I'm using 2.0. Might be too elaborate for some. :)

Very helpful. You always do a great job of carefully explaining the tool's purpose, how it works and how to use it.

I think this feature alone makes A.P. worth buying; I was shocked when I first tried it!

Yes for sure. Surprisingly works well. It's direct competitors like pixelmator don't even have one.

I have used haze removal before, with mask as you did, but your use of compound mask reminded me of its power, which I tend to forget. AP doesn't scan well from my wireless scanner, there is a bug, but if I scan separately and import it works. I sometimes need to scan text, say from German or Czech and then run through a translator such as google to go to English. Unfortunately, sometimes the scan introduces noise around letters such as e, or o, etc. I've been thinking of how I could use compound masks to clean up scanned text to better prepare for translation. Perhaps a combination of luminosity and band pass ? Perhaps this would be a good video for you to do ?

Hi thanks for the suggestion. Do you have a link where I can see the issue. If I have any ideas I'll consider making one :)
