Markus Kobelt, the founder and breeder of the Swiss fruit tree nursery Lubera, talks about the grafting proces of a walnut tree. The machine cuts of the upper part of the rootstock. And after that it is put together with the sort walnut tree you want. It looks like a pretty stable tree to me.
