    everthing in life you may do slowly, BUT GRAFTING! you must do super! quick!!! and seal!!! and finish!

    Thanks ... Lots of clear help. I have a bunch of 10 year old walnuts planted by seed and I'd like to cut them off and do bark grafts with better scions for nut production. The trunks are about 5 inches in diameter. Do you think it can work?

    Where do you get the graft and will it work on a black walnut that's been growing for 2 years

      Not all walnut varieties are graft compatible; you'll have to experiment. I collect scion locally.

      What's the nick made below the grafted union for? And is this recommended for all grafting techniques too?
