    Thank you for the video. My son gave me a grafting tool for Christmas almost 2 years ago and I have not used it, plan to remedy that this year now that I know how it works. :)

      So far it woks well, it really makes my work easier and more efficient, so I can do more grafting work. But for other grafting techniques, I still have to do manually.

    I bought it to graft my lemon plant. It makes my life super easy. It took me less than 1 minute to finish grafting. I should have bought it long time ago.

    blades are dull branch cracked when you cut it.

    On my grafting tool you have to also turn the orange stop to match the cutter blade.

      Based on my tool, I do not have to turn to match. But the orange stuff are easily damaged if I cut harder or make many cuts.

      Thanks, I would choose omega shape first. But manual grafting using grafting knife is the best.

      @@dianatrac81 Yes, you are absolutely right. This is one of the reasons I found when I used this kind of tool a lot, especially when the blade is not sharp enough. I am going to make a video specifically talking about some issues when using tool but not knife.       Thanks for watching. I think I that time I once sprayed some chemical on the plants which might cause some toxicity to the leaves. I am not sure what it looks like on your lemon tree leaves, but if citrus is healthy, you can just simply ignore it.

      Omega is better than two others, both rootstock and scion lock each other and match more security.

      Hi, my friend, it would not be so tricky. Basically you can do grafting anytime year round if you live in some warm area. Spring might be the best time, but summer and fall still works prettywell. I just did some grafting a couple of days ago. I would not recommend you to do grafting during the winter especially for some dormant trees and in cold winter areas. But if you live in tropical areas, that would be different story. Actually grafting is pretty easy, not as most people think. Now I can do grafting like a pro. Check out my grafting technique playlist. Thanks, good luck.

      @@paullopez3214 Hi, Paul, congratulations! You live in a fantastic area like heaven on earth. I think you can do it all year round because the climate is amazing. Today I am also planning to graft Calamansi on my citrus tree 🌳. Hopefully it is not too late because I want to all the grafted varieties can have chances to bloom next spring. BTW, usually it takes about 3 weeks to sprout after grafting then you know whether you succeed or not. Good luck.

    i used that tool to make around 25 of the 100 grafts on that male fig tree and only 4 worked.
    i did it realllllly bad tho.

      i used a bigger one i got on amazon that has 2 big razors on it.
      i loved that one for bigger branches

      @@110publicsnubsseemyprofile3 not right now, but kind of the tool has some drawbacks compared with manual grafting using grafting knife. Now for all the grafting I'd like to use knife but not tool. I am thinking I will probably make a video to share some experience that why I failed in some grafting.

      @@LAyangfamily so what i noticed, it makes that perfect puzzle piece cut but it pinches the layers together, so what i would do was smooth it over with a small knife but i am the 4% pro so maybe you can help me figure out how to use that thing better.

      ..aren't you suppose to wrap the graft in grafting tape after? Sounds like you're just leaving it unwrapped

      What I mean is that the cuts don't fit back snugly. Even trying to wrap it will still have it flapping all over the place as well as just not have good cambium contact.
      Even someone who has never grafted before is better off trying to do simple techniques learnt off youtube and will still have a higher success rate of a cut that doesn't fit properly

      @@D-d-dvon what method do you like most? I’m about to start grafting for the first time with figs. I also hear cutting as much of the root stock branches off as possible helps them take better/reduces competition.

      I'd like you to do cleft grafting, easy and simple with a pretty good success rate. At least 0.5 inch for both contact.

      Wrap and secure the graft union is a must. Better wrap the sicon to prevent drying out.

    You’re grafting a branch to itself? What’s the point? You don’t show a graft of a scion from a different plant onto a rootstock. Of course the same two parts of one branch will fit together perfectly 🙄

      Sorry, bro, you might not get the point. That part of the video just demonstrates the cut, not for real grafting.     Didn't make great experience with crafting apple varieties and plum varieties using this tool.

      I once grafted an apple 🍎 tree using cleft grafting technique by a grafting knife. It was pretty easy and successful. I will try again when my apple tree grows bigger.

      @@LAyangfamily I am often using modified cleft and modified tong/whip. It's to 90% successful if I use my crafting knife. But with the mentioned tool I tried the omega- and v-shape. Fail on 80% of the crafts. That's my bad experience with this tool.

    Tool works ok, downside, blunts very quickly. Your tape demo is flawed though, in reality holding the tape and turning the scion/graft to make it look easy is not an option.
