    Akes perfect sense. Had to find out the hard way. Bought a grafting tool kit thinking it would save time. 100 grafts , 3 survived

      @kennethflynn2469 Thanks. Think about it, any professional gardener wouldn't use this kind of tool, kind of toy tool. Actually, a good grafting knife can do everything. Good luck.

    Today 8/4 I’ve seen this video after watching the video where you recomend this grafting tool kit that I bought and do succulent grafting. I got the Japanese style. I hope it works I also use Aloe Vera gel to heal and accelerate the healing wounds after the cutting. Thank you very much for your videos !:)

      Thanks, kit itself is fine, but finally, I found all this kind of kit has its limitations. It can only do saddle or cleft grafting, and grafting union is too short. But the grafting knife in the kit works pretty well at my hand. Good luck, and I wish you big success. 👍

    Very good information video! I just bought this kit and it’s very likely I won’t rely on the cutting tool to make my graft ! Thanks amigo!

    Mr. Yang, thank you for very informative video.
    So maybe you make a NEW grafting tool, with a proper set of v-knives, very sharp, about 1" deep vee, like two razor blade edges coming to a tiny point. Yes, the knife is probably better, but making two very close mating v-pieces is not so easy. My point is in the cleft graft, he rooter has much possibility of splitting down when the scion is inserted into a straight cut. Also, there is the small air gaps at the top of the scion, in the rooter, and we wish to not have these gaps, I think.
    So maybe there is a place for a properly formed v-blade to do the grafting (no saddle) with a hand tool, for the novice.

      Haha, you're funny 😁 , hopefully I give everyone a CORRECT suggestion, actually if you see my great success on my cocktail citrus tree 🌳 you will understand I am right. Good luck. You made the right decision. ✅️

    Thanks for the review. I also received one of these as a gift. I have grafted fruit trees successfully with a knife eg whip and tongue, cleft, chip budding, bark grafting. But I think I will leave this tool in the cupboard.

    i think these tools are for a specific production sadle grafting, like young root avocado to specific your avocado to your choices.
    and dont touch another part of grafting after you warp it, it's like you run straight after having leg surgery.

    What if new grafted plant was kept inside for a while until they are grafted? Maybe a week?

    • @LAyangfamily
      @LAyangfamily  11 месяцев назад

      It depends, but for me, usually it takes 3 weeks to one month, I can let it grow in natural condition.

      The tool itself works for most woody branches, but I prefer to use a grafting knife to do all the jobs. 😀

    • @LAyangfamily
      @LAyangfamily  11 месяцев назад

      Usually, it is around $20 for one kit on the Amazon website. But if you could buy directly from China it would be much cheaper.
