@@resresres1 Look I'm as disappointed in Blizzard as much as any other guy but the Overwatch vs Paladins comparison has never held up, Overwatch was such an extremely polished game offering far more than Paladins ever did. I get that Overwatch was ruined but you're talking about apples to oranges.

Avoid Star Trek Online at all costs.. it’s a complete waste of money and everything of any use is locked behind a paywall. You should Try Bloodstrike and go ranking, it is a mobile game port to pc however, it is an awesome game it is a mix of Apex Legends with Warzone gun play and in ranking mode it is as far the most challenging mobile to pc game that I have played , not like CODM and PUBG in which you will feel you have some type of advange. another great card game to play is yugioh master duel i'm sure everyone has played or heard of YGO before and its pretty easy to build decks without spending money compared to the other yugioh game duel links (much easier to learn than master duel though)

Not mentioning Starcraft and/or Starcraft 2, or any game from the classic RTS genre for the hardcore gamers is alone enough for me to give this a thumbs down. Also, no offense, but these are just the most popular, not necessarily the best free to play games. The Title is thus kinda clickbaity for some mentions in this video. P.s.: no, I don't consider it mentioning a game just by throwing it's name in a sentence as a reference for another game
Warzone 2 looks great, but is confusing as hell to play through. Diablo 4 is a pretty look piece of trash. There is STILL no endgame. Path of Exile absolutely destroys it in almost every way. Path of Exile 2 ... I'm waiting to see how Dan Wilson screws that up.

I highly recommend anyone who likes fps games but either doesn’t like BRs or is sick of them to check it out and definitely play when it launches.
@@bbcmotd80's / 90's is the sweet spot. Weapons are nice and simple.
Did you know that the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has a free trial, and includes the entirety of A Realm Reborn AND the award-winning Heavensward expansion up to level 60 with no restrictions on playtime? Sign up, and enjoy Eorzea today!
Waiting for XDefiant. Played it, enjoyed it.
Golden age of gaming is a huge stretch
Maybe, but the amount of f2p games thats available though is crazy
@@jcoal_YT cant argue about that. Whole way of payment and monetarisation changed
Time splitters was a cartoony fps game years before TF2
Brother you miss. Efootball. This is old game off Konami PES series. Has a big community playing over the whole world. You can play on a high level with zero money.
Im surprised Valorant and Overwatch 2 arent on the list. At the very least I'd say Overwatch shook up the gaming space when it came out and Valorant was also a nich free change of pace from CSGO.
wth are you talking about, Overwatch essentially copied what the game Paladins had already done.... There was no shaking up of the game space because Paladins had ALREADY done it. Paladins is also FARRRR better than Overwatch in every way and is also Free to play. You probably just didn't hear about the game because its not made by a big box developer.
@@resresres1 Overtwatch released first though.
@@Nitroh- Paladins was in development far earlier than overwatch, they essentially copied the genre after hearing/seeing it.
@@thedofflin I don't think you ever played Paladins if you think overwatched offered more. The depth of gameplay is far greater in paladins due to the cards and item game systems Overwatch gameplay is shallow in comparison.
WARFRAME is my #1
Halo: Infinite is doing well as a free MULTIPLAYER game, but they haven't TOUCHED the singleplayer campaign since launch. No DLC whatsoever, no new missions, ANYTHING.
Destiny 2 DLC's are actually free currently on Epic Launcher. Think it's free for a week or so.
EVE Online is a game with whole new genre which is also free!
Except its memed that the russians dominate that game
Avoid Star Trek Online at all costs.. it’s a complete waste of money and everything of any use is locked behind a paywall. Not to mention the in-game economy is controlled by the player base so a few very rich players control the entire market in both the item exchange and the dilithium exchange. It’s terrible!
I still enjoy planetside 2 from time to time. Tobad its pretty much only active in the weekends.
Between weeks it's poblated too, depends on the time of the day... i can't manage to be in a 300+ player battle with more than 30fps tho
The cross hair spray follow fucking slaps in CS2
Where's Bloodhunt?!
Planetside 2 is free. I love it. It's the only presistant war game I know of.
Starcraft is still king of RTS games . Paladins is a nice free version of Overwatch and Dauntless is a great alternative to Monster Hunter .
I was honestly surprised MTG Arena wasnt mentioned on here, and then I remembered how technical magic can be 😅
It should be. It's the best card game on PC
Good list, I guess you forgot Enlisted as a shooter.
MIR, NMRIH and toribash not being here is wild
Vampire Masquerade Bloodhunt and SplitGate should be on the list.
@@Starmarine1892 Does updates make a game? no, it doesnt.
Bloodhunt is fully playable and with fair share of content in it already.
The game may not get new updates, as battlepasses and classes... but they still active, added new clothes to shop, changed some items. (oh yeah and added the snow for winter)
It wont be shutting down, you can read about it in their Community Newsletters (new one comes every month or two).
How should Splitgate 2 be on the list of best free 2023 games, when its not out yet?
That Orange Box 😌 man that was a great offering, far exceeded the pricetag in terms of what Valve had stuffed in there 👍
mech warrior was the first pc game i ever played and that was a demo that came stuck to a magazine 😂
Interesting video. Never thought you would include TF2. It seems like a game from some other time. Too bad you didn't include Valorant. Valorant is a more refined game than CS, and CS2 is copying lots of features from it.
Can you do a video on FPS on Steam Deck?
Best free to play card game…Legends of Runeterra !
Can't recommend Warframe enough.
It's the only F2P game which is genuinely free. It respects your time and has some of the best progression in any game, period, let alone F2P.
5:34 what is that? What’s the code for that? Looks sick
Imma be real the finals is the best free play game of 2023 it’s soo good
No OldSchool RuneScape... SMH my head
Warframe is the best f2p game that should be the gold standard
what is the game called at the beginning with the mace thing?
the arena is like unreal tournament, mayhem and madness, i could say its unreal tournament on crack but i don't do drugs so i dont really know...
Would have loved to see xdefiant there … it’s gonna be the best alternative to cod without the sbmm bs
Team Naraka Best melee BR
:( you can still get a lot of fun out of OW2 without giving Blizzard a dime.😢😢😢
i wonder why so many if not most streamers have a problem when they mention Fortnite. Its the BR with the most numbers and its not only kids. i'm an old man and oh this game is HUGE. in all the other Brs you wait sooo long for lobbies and you're almost guaranteed a cheat or 50
Warframe is one of the best F2P ever!!
I would´ve also picked planetside 2 but that game is kinda dying. Also, isnt halo 2 hated atm or something?
true, ps2 i legendary, although it is dying
Rogue Company still going strong! (Kinda)
PLANETSIDE 2 ❤ Been playing it for 10 years almost 11
still getting updates
Stalcraft really should be on this list..
Halo infinite and tf2 are my goto f2ps along sidr swtor
Tick Tock By Joji
Kinda had to leave as soon as you opened with "we're living in the golden age of gaming".
Maybe if online subscriptions weren't so expensive, and games weren't constantly disappointing us.
The best Era of FPS games was 2007-2010 or so IMO.
I had to stop playing war thunder I used to get actual panic attacks from the stress the game caused me
You should Try Bloodstrike and go ranking, it is a mobile game port to pc however, it is an awesome game it is a mix of Apex Legends with Warzone gun play and in ranking mode it is as far the most challenging mobile to pc game that I have played , not like CODM and PUBG in which you will feel you have some type of advange. It can run in any pc including old potatoes.
another great card game to play is yugioh master duel i'm sure everyone has played or heard of YGO before and its pretty easy to build decks without spending money compared to the other yugioh game duel links (much easier to learn than master duel though)
Don’t play master duel if you are expecting a yugioh game like the ones you had with friends in high school. And the meta is torture right now with snake eyes and branded. There is no casual dueling. It is a nightmare for anyone who doesn’t have a ton of time to spend learning the meta every single month.
for me: Heroes of the Storm!
i always heard great things about tf2 but when i tried it
1. i could not find matches
2. i could not figure out what was going on in the game
when you want to play a new game and you have to wait 2-3 minutes for a match it is frustating
Imagine thinking 2-3 minutes is that bad compared to most games that are far longer to wait
@@BeyondDaX i don't play most games(on pc/laptop ), the only other online fps i tried were CSGO and Valorant I don't think I had to wait that much
And the waiting part itself would not be that bad if I was enjoying the game in the first place but i wasn't
And especially when you want to learn the game the waiting time is frustrating not when you are hooked in the game and you want every reason to play it
Not mentioning Starcraft and/or Starcraft 2, or any game from the classic RTS genre for the hardcore gamers is alone enough for me to give this a thumbs down. Also, no offense, but these are just the most popular, not necessarily the best free to play games. The Title is thus kinda clickbaity for some mentions in this video.
P.s.: no, I don't consider it mentioning a game just by throwing it's name in a sentence as a reference for another game
Is tf2 still being updated?
Yes.
I miss mentioning the Heroes of the Storm and Crossout.
Idk about a golden age in gaming, renaissance maybe, but definitely not a golden age that's long gone.
Undecember vs Path of Exile?
mentioning card games without Legends of runeterra is a sin , the game is amazing with high quality art , and u can play the game competitively without spending a dime on it , u can earn any card u want by purchasing it with in game money u earn by playing not like other card games where u have to buy packs in hope to get the card u want
Showed Mech warrior online in the intro but didnt show it wow... would love to see more people play it, its really good
Which game is best for an adult beginner of first person shooters? Where I don’t have to speak on mic (don’t wanna be harassed for being a (beginner) woman)
PUBG hardcore? That combat is so watered down from where it's dna lies.
Also Team Fortress wasn't cartoony. Graphics just were what they were in the nineties. Sequel's early prototypes looked like battlefield.
Great video
I'm surprised he didn't even mention Eve online / Eve echoes!
Enlisted is pretty cool ;)
shattlerline is also very good game and also free
Planetside 2. It's still getting content and you used to play it.
THE FINALS 😛assuming it’ll come out this month!
War Thunder is quite fun even playing free, and if you're smart you can get a premium account for $3us a month
