I saw this at a mystery movie night about a month ago. Everyone applauded when it came on-so many of us had been waiting to see it. It’s definitely my favorite movie of the year!
Watched this last night finally. My wife and I loved it. So much great irony, dark comedy, playfulness, and relatable touching scenes that were well written and acted. No bad or villainous characters just people with real motivation. Really enjoyable. And for his first film it was an amazing result.
Can someone please go back and see the opera singer Marion Anderson was received, because of her natural talent, who made a real presentation of a educated person that cares.
Instead of simply interviewing Director Cord Jefferson so that we can get to know his journey, we have to be subjected to loudmouth on the end spoiling the Movie by giving away scenes in the Movie. I will watch this interview after I had the chance to watch the Movie myself. I stopped watching this interview as soon as she started yelling about a Funeral.
This CBS crew never simply speaks, but loves to YELL AT FULL OUTSIDE VOLUME as if they were on a stage and there was nary a microphone in sight. They love to interrupt each other, climbing over each other verbally to YELL praise at this (deserving) author (who has to interrupt them to get a word in edgewise), because it's really about these hosts hearing themselves speak (YELL).

Can't wait to watch it as well
I had not heard of the film until last week. I hope it runs at one of the two theaters in my not so culturally diverse small suburban township here.
No luck. Not playing anywhere near or not so near to me. I searched up to a 40-mile distance, and nothing. Such a disappointment. 😔
I haven't been to the movies in over 10 years. I must go to this film. I need a good laugh.
Been looking forward to this for a while, glad it’s finally coming out.
Bingo!
Reminds me of Hollywood Shuffle and Bamboozled - just popped up in my local theater looking forward to this one. Trailer is hilarious on its own.
That’s what I was thinking about. DEFINITELY reminds me of Bamboozled.
This man is going places! The movie is SO GOOD!

Wonderful, so glad to discover Jefferson and his dialogue. . .
"Look what happens when you write real roles for black characters". LOVE THAT!
I am so looking forward to seeing this film next week!!! Woohoooo!
The trailer was hilarious.
