I want Lopetegui to succeed & play attacking football because I love our club. I wanted Moyes to succeed and play attacking football & if he had I would have got fully behind him - but he couldn't do it. I'm 67 and want to watch attacking, classy football like I used to watch at the Boleyn. We didn't win all the time, we were mid table or worse most seasons but we had style and attacked teams using flair players with some steel in defence. The game hasn't changed so much that you don't play attacking football anymore. I don't care who the manager is, I just want to watch our side attack teams. Lopetegui can't/won't do that & thats why I can't support him in the job. It's that simple. If he changes or shows he can do it, I'm behind him 100% and happily admit I had him wrong.
One thing a manager/coach doesn't have is time!! if you give him to much time the season will have passed us by and it could be to late to recover with someone new. Imagine falling out of a plane with a parachute on, at what point do you pull the cord for the parachute to open? if you leave it too late the parachute is useless thats the dilemma guys.
Let's get behind Lopetequi. Give him at least till Christmas. By then we will know if he has worked out his team's lineup , tactics and so on , and we will know if team players are playing for him or not. Saturdays game will be interesting, to say the least . Super interesting I would say .
Good discussion chaps. I don’t disagree with anything you’re saying. My personal view is i didn’t want Loppi, however I’m ok to give him a chance. We do need to see the team playing to decent tactics! We are still short of pace up front though! Take care all. COYI ⚒⚒⚒
Another great vid Garry…I’m surprised to hear you say people condemn those who go to the matches. I always got the impression it was the other way round. I used to go to Upton Park in the late 70s, early 80s…It was all standing from what I remember, I was just a kid, but some great memories. Mid 80s I went to boarding school, then moved from Bishops Stortford to Norwich, left school but had to work Saturdays, so my trips to Upton Park have been far and few between since. Saw us loose to Metz (1st leg) in the Intertoto cup, Saha with the winner, Lamps missing a pen I believe…early 20s I’d get to some per season games against Norwich, Ipswich or Cambridge…but moved to Asia in 2015, so haven’t got to a game since. I watch all games online, so 8pm KO = 3 or 4am here (depending on your clocks), not ideal, but I do it with my Filipino wife, week in week out. Quick couple of things. 1. Duran would do nothing in our current side playing in our current style. No striker would thrive here at the moment. 2. Do we need to play two defensive midfielders at home against Ipswich Town dispite our current plight??? I don't like the term transition season it makes no sence to me. Things should be permanently evolving. Minimum requirements for this season must be. FA Cup win and a Europa qualification. Have a nice weekend.

I’m looking forward to seeing Fullkrug play, unfortunately he is still injured at the moment. I think we will win against Ipswich. Our attackers are used to counter attacking and not possession based play. They need to adapt to get our goal tally up and running.
