Badenoch is awful, criticising Starmer for "planted questions" and last week about following a script- Both sides do this, so i take it is okay if her side do it but not his? She is a total clown.
The real work is done in areas like select committees, this is an hour or so in a week. These committees are usually televised but it’s not theatrical so doesn’t get the same interest. Sometimes they do, such as the select committees looking at, for instance, the Post Office scandal.
For once Kier starmer finally looks like a good politician, I don't know if it's because Badenoch is such a poor opposition or the man has finally taken some lessons in public speaking. But for once he sounds competent and passionate. I just hope he keeps improving.
"taken some lessons in public speaking" He was a QC for fucks sake. He was the second youngest barrister to made QC ever. Of course he is a competent speaker and always has been. You are perhaps confusing the ability to emote and make sound bites over fluency in putting an argument.
Two PMQs in and Starmer must be rubbing his hands with glee thinking “Is that the best you can do?” I know it’s early days and Badenoch might get better at this (and there’s a ton of room for improvment) but I doubt it. People with her level of arrogance can’t conceive of needing to improve as think they are already at the top of their game. I give her two years at the most as Tory leader before another regicide.
How the Tories have got the bare faced cheek to ask about social care funding. After fourteen years of relentlessly starving social care, the NHS, education, etc of funds.
We will never see another Labour government in our life time the amount of ill will this govt has collected from the people of this country in its first few months.
The main issue is that it's most likely going to remain this way until the Lid Dems become the official party of opposition after the 2029 general election because the Tories are basically out of good options when it comes to picking a leader. Prospects for the Tory parties leadership get even worse once you realize that there are still some Tory MP's who still think Boris Johnson can still save the party and lead them to a win at the next general election if he returns in 2 to 3 years time.
It's a case of nothing left when look down to fill the coffers and have to look up to fill the coffers and the Tories do not like that Me well all in it together is just and fair

I love the question about the person who's going to be paying 20k in NI now, if theyre paying that much that means their company is making AT LEAST half a million a year. WONT SOMEONE THINK OF THE MILLIONAIRES!!!!
I've paid that much in NI and I am absolutely NOT a millionaire, not by any stretch. The taxes are high.
@ incredible that everyone who’s well off doesn’t think they’re well off. How much profit does your company make?
Pre-prepare. Anyone that says this is an idiot. Preparing something is doing it in advance, so you're doing it in advance to then do it in advance again? Just say prepare.
Yes, I am fun at parties.
I'd sooner meet you at a party than Kemi!
All the pre-prepared, pre-preparation in the world won't give Kemi enough preparation to prepare to prepare for being prepared to deliver her pre-prepared, half-baked questions
You, fun at parties? It's blatantly obvious you are.
I’ll also die on this pedantic hill. For me, pre-warn is the same.
@@WorldsEliteBloodrangThe phrase "Forewarned is forearmed" would suggest otherwise.
You can see the lights go out in Kemi’s eyes in that last exchange.
It’s surprising how easily Starmer is dismissing her question, he’s not exactly mr nimble.
Yeah she is so poor at debate that she makes Starmer sound like a competent politician
True, also I would say that the word "Tory" now represents only austerity and failure, so you can only answer to them because you have pity.
that's because he hasn't answered them!

I'm old enough to remember a previous Labour government repeatedly refer to '13 years of Tory misrule' ... that was Harold Wilson. It will quickly be interpreted as an excuse for his own failures, real or not.
0:45 "He needs to answer from his mind" 😂
The last answer was the best one I reckon - Badenough will have HATED being dismissed like that.
When she was at the post office enquiry she said that
"being seen to do the right thing is as important as doing the right thing",
she doubled down on it when the KC raised his eyebrows and asked her if she really meant that.

Wouldn't work here especially in the public sector - since working from home started (and many in the public sector refuse to go back), efficiency has further plummeted. We support you Kemi from USA , you are going to be the next Prime Minister of Uk and you will make UK great again.
It's kind of amusing the way british politics is done in the house of commons, it's so unproffessional lol
The real work is done in areas like select committees, this is an hour or so in a week. These committees are usually televised but it’s not theatrical so doesn’t get the same interest.
Sometimes they do, such as the select committees looking at, for instance, the Post Office scandal.
Care to point out where it’s being done professionally ?
Your first PMQ's I take it? This is only a tiny part of how the house operates. Its just a public session done once a week.
PMQs is mostly theatrics.
It’s unprofessional to spell unprofessional incorrectly!😂
What a farce
For once Kier starmer finally looks like a good politician, I don't know if it's because Badenoch is such a poor opposition or the man has finally taken some lessons in public speaking. But for once he sounds competent and passionate. I just hope he keeps improving.
I think it's confidence
He’s been like this at pmqs for years, it’s no coincidence he’s already on his fourth Tory leader!
"taken some lessons in public speaking"
He was a QC for fucks sake. He was the second youngest barrister to made QC ever. Of course he is a competent speaker and always has been.
You are perhaps confusing the ability to emote and make sound bites over fluency in putting an argument.
He's settling in to being the PM. It's took a little while.
It’s bad enough them two battling it out but to see Patel next to her makes it look like a joke 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃😡😡😡😡😡

Tories are finished, evil 😈 Patel is back too 😮😮
We will never see another Labour government in our life time the amount of ill will this govt has collected from the people of this country in its first few months.
It’s not great for our parliamentary system to have such a useless leader of the opposition.
Yeah I reckon they will.
It's funny how everyone in the comments is backing Starma's tax rises. 😂

@@jamesgreen1305dead brainwashed tory boy
@@jamesgreen1305why should pensioners get winter fuel allowance just because of their age? Mine have an awful lot more disposable income than I do, they just view it as additional spending money on their cruises. You might argue that Labour have set the threshold too low but that's really about it. What about single parent families, they need the payment a whole lot more than the likes of my parents. As for farmers, they voted for Brexit and the sovereignty of Parliament. They can hardly complain about democracy in action just because they are now subject to inheritance tax like the rest of us.
