I upgraded from 12 pro max to 16 pro max and I can tell a huge difference with battery life.. the 12 had to constantly be charged and lived on a portable charger to get through the day but the 16 doesn’t need to be charged until the end of the day.. that’s one of my favorite upgrades aside from the new vivid screen and camera.. A18 pro chip is also a lot smoother and faster
Just so you're aware, the reason why your 12 pm lasted so little is because of battery degradation. If you had replaced the battery with a brand new one, it wouldve had much better battery life, and the difference wouldnt have been as big. Regardless, the 16 pro max does look to have the best battery life ever. Nuts and I cant wait to receive it tomorrow.

Then I got tired of small screen and went Galaxy Note 2 and never looked back but now I might just go back to Apple, I had tabkets but nothing compared to iPad Pro and I bought mine in 2019 and still going strong, I use LP mode when I'm not gaming on it and turned it off sometimes but might upgrade next year

Battery beast for this year. It remaineds me of 13 pro max when it released . I’m not going to switch it over my 15 pro max . I’ll waiting two more years .
Right now is not a good time to change, I have the 15 pro max and I can tell you that is a perfect phone in any situation, the battery life is great, is not like the 16 pro max but is enough for the day, I’ll wait for the iPhone 18 or something like that

I just got a 15 pro max because the 16 were on back order but what I’ve learned from upgrading from 1 iPhone to the other is if they are 1 year apart it’s pretty much the same phone literally maybe 1 new feature and I haven’t had a iPhone since the 13 so I’m very happy with mine

I have both the 15 pro max and the 16 pro max and trust me the difference in battery is too much. 16 pro max can last me 2 days without charging (I am not a heavy user). It was great but why wait this long?

@@EhudM7 yh I’m on Tik tok a lot tbh and it used most of my battery which is about 38% I’m a heavy user tbh and I do social media and all sorts so that’s probably why my battery doesn’t last as long I unfortunately don’t have enough money for the 16 pro max I literally only had about 700 pounds and that’s what I spent it on (refurbished condition ) on a 15 pro max but realising the battery doesn’t last with my heavy use not sure what to do

If you don’t have enough money to go for the iPhone 16 pro max which is totally fine, then limit your usage. Try using the phone on dark mode. Also go to settings and turn off “always On Display”. You can also turn off “background refresh” in settings as well. Try these and observe the device for a day.
Someone mentioned it perfectly, those who charge their phones nightly don't need to worry about even with regular iPhones 16, question is if you are going to charge your iPhone 16 Pro Max every alternate day or daily ?! I will say if a phone yields good standby time with two eSIMs in it and 20+ hours screen on with a lot camera activities then you can confidently leave the house without chargers for two days😂 I would have loved iPhone 16 Pro with a bigger battery as it's a perfect size phone for me as an outdoor person that carries phone in the belt during running, hiking, etc.

I agree the 13 pro max was a game changer for battery life I just ordered 16 pro max , giving my 13 pro max to the wife I upgraded for a few reasons, bigger screen 2 mm ,smaller bezel, action button, camera not a huge difference,battery life,and only iPhones getting AI UPGRADES are 15 pro max and 16 pro and pro max for me it’s a big upgrade for 14 and 15 pros might be a bit pissed of as only the 15 pro max gets the AI UPGRADES
The fact that you can get a 15 pro max for less than 900€ euros makes the 16 lineup meaningless, is people really gonna pay 500-600€ euros more for better battery and a camera button ? I dont think so, pretty much the same build, pretty much the same cameras, brightness etc
This is a good battery upgrade, but I’d rather the difference in battery performance was noticeable in higher percentages than close to when the phone is about to die, because using your phone on such low battery level destroys the battery life and its overall capacity. And many people never let it drop below 10 percent.
Came from a 12 pro max just the other day and the difference in battery life is night and day. I always end up with 51% or higher with around 6-7 hours of screen on time. I’m so glad I made the switch, my next will be the 20 series. 😂 I just find it a little too big thoooo.
I have a 15 pro max now, got it 2 days after the UK launch of the 16's, was gonna get a 16 pro max but they didn't any in for about 2 months like so I got the 15 instead, and considering the 11 I upgraded from had 75% battery health the monumental jump in battery means that I can end days with over 50%, if I got the 16 I might not even drop below 65% so that's kind mad and if they keep doing that then fair play to them

Weirdly since few iOS updates my 15PM does seem a little better and it’s not getting so hot. Think the original iOS 18 was a bit buggy ?

16 pro max is insane lol I got like 6 hours and 40 minutes yesterday with 51 percent left. It’s an over 13 hour sot phone.

The 16 pro actually last almost as long as the 15 pro max. On Apple's website, the 15 pro max is only rated 1 hour longer than 16 pro.

If battery is a person's biggest concern they should opt for the 16 plus, it usually has a better battery life than the 16 pm
