Hi Nora thank you for today's episode! I would say not to worry too much about the stitch definition on your Florence tank, the lace will likely open up when you block the finished piece
It does! I was going to add this comment but everyone else was on it! I have an Instagram post of a lace shawl I made and before blocking it's all scrunched up and you can't really see the pattern but after the pattern and stitches show up beautifully
Yes! I came here to post this. Lace really does look like a scrunched up dish rag before it's washed and blocked. Did you stretch your swatch at all, @AkaNoraKnits ? Lace can grow when it opens up during blocking.
Nora, you could wear an old dishcloth and make it look like Chanel! You inspired me to knit the Ranunculus, which I just did in bright red, and now I’m forced to knit the Stripe Hype too! You’re a joy to watch ❤
Your stripped sweater is looking fantastic!!! You will have a see of stripped sweaters if they become your sock knitting, and then everyone in your family will get a stripped sweater as a gift. Adorable! I can't wait to see your soccer dress. Happy knitting and crocheting 💚🧶💚
Nora! I love your podcast. I saw that you favorited the beatrix cardigan by gregoria fibers on ravelry and I had to come here to say please cast her on!. I am planning to cast it on this Summer and I (and I am sure many of us) would be so excited to follow along with you. Thanks for sharing your knitting wisdom/humor with us! - love big fan
ISN’T IT SO DREAMY?? I am in love with it and plan to knit it in some of the yarn I got at the shop that had closed! I’m thinking it will make it’s way to the needles by fall!!! Thank you 🥰
Hi Nora. I’ve watched you from the start but only just started subscribing to podcasts and you’re top of my list! I love your content, honesty and willingness to share ups and downs in knitting. We all have them! The stripe hype looks great. I might just have to knit it ❤
I'm realizing as I'm knitting and watching your video that I'm currently working on a stashbust spring project! I'm knitting an Emotional Support Chicken as a birthday gift for a friend using all stash advent minis held triple to meet the worsted gauge 💖
Yayyy!!! Omg i am still so enthralled by that little chicken. I love that! Isn’t it so refreshing to get that yarn out of stash and see it go off to a good home?? 💛
Way to go! That sweater has a great color selection and looks like so much fun! Keep an eye out for any color bleed though. On the lighter color fabrics like cream and white color bleed can show up much more visibly especially when you use hand dyed yarn. So just be aware. Also make sure you take the time to weave in your ends on your cotton yarn. Its known to slip out a lot more easily than wool or acrylic. One technique you can use is to split your plies and then weave them in while tying small knots.
Your projects are looking gorgeous!! I can’t even decide which one is my favourite haha. I love watching your podcast while knitting on something mindless, your podcast is so comforting and gives off such cozy vibes
The Stripe Hype looks fantastic and i hhink youll find yourself living in it a lot, especially for early mornings and evening walks with your fur baby. Another great video!
Hi Nora! Your striped sweater is looking good. As for your waistband, I often use the same needle size as my sweater body for the rib as it will give you a straight line for a relaxed sweater instead of pulling in. This is a perfect method for a split hem as well. Happy Knitting!😊
Hey Nora, my suggestion is to make your collar or neck band before you measure for your sleeves because as the neck is pulled up, it will automatically shorten the sleeves. Hope that was helpful. Love you podcast love you pipe so much fun joining you every Saturday morning.!
That vest is really pretty. It is now on my radar and I happen to have 7 skeins of pure silk. I think blocking will make a big difference in your lace definition.
Your knits look great! I definitely agree about adding length to the Stripe Hype…at least an inch and a half, maybe even two, to give you the cozy sweatshirt vibe you’re going for. Great job!!
How about a coordinating hat/scarf with something like the dark color stripes, separated by two rows of the light. Or only the dark colors with lice made from the light color throughout (Norwegian colorwork term). You get the idea-coordinating, not matching. Your color story is perfection girl!!!!! 🎉
I enjoy your videos. I was busy on Saturday, and I looked forward to Sunday morning “Coffee with Nora”. 💕 you convinced me to knit the Stripe Hype. Of course I ordered cotton cashmere yarn instead of digging in my stash. 😂😇
Hey Nora; Yvonne in Detroit. The Stripe-Hype Sweater… YESSSS!! GR8 Job… 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 that will DEFINITELY B in my needles B4 the end of this year. Can’t wait 2 C your Crochet dress
OMG the stripe hype sweater is PERFECT!!!! I'm almost in the knitting in the round with mine. I cant wait!!! your vlogs are always so fun! Best start to my saturday
Hi! How you are describing your thrifted yarn makes it sound like it has spinning oil in it! Spinning oil doesn’t actually make the yarn feel oily. It just sort of makes it feel like twine.
Also! Your lace will look entirely different when blocked. I would give this a mid project block just to soothe your mind so you can enjoy the rest of the knitting process! 😊
100% agree with this comment. Especially since the yarn was on a cone, it probably was intended for machine knitting & would probably have oil in it! A good amount of soap & lukewarm water, stretch out the lace, please please!
I think it's perfect practice for anyone who finds their knits to be "too precious to wear." The effort that goes in to it is so mindless and the overall project takes such little time (compared to most other sweater projects) that it can feel so much more casual! I'm glad you love yours! Thank you!
Interesting! I didn't pin out the swatch when I blocked it, but the lace all opened up really nicely! It's more that the stitches in the more solid section all appear to sort of mush together lol
Nora, I just wanted to let you know that your podcast makes my Saturday just a bunch better. I recently broke my arm and I’m currently recovering but watching your pod every week has been helping me in my struggling time. As a teen knitter I find that not many people around me have the same interest in fiber arts as I do so watching you and your progress updates makes me feel as if I have a knitting buddy. Keep smiling Nora, you’ll make it big in this world. ❤️
Nora maybe you should leave the front hem on waste yarn until you decide if the larger needles work better on the thick yarn. If you go back and block the from hem eventually you may be able to tell if the right rib will roll because of the thickness
I'm definitely going to experiment a little with needle size on the back hem and I'm pretty sure I'll be returning to start the front over again--you're right! It could use a block just to see!
Some cone yarns are waxed or have spinning oils on them. Wax and oil are used to control the fuzz when spinning and working on a knitting machine. So, prewashing your yarn may give you a better feel for the texture. A good example is Holst Supersoft. It comes with spinning oil on it. When washed it turns into a lovely soft yarn.
Love the stripes! Both projects - the crochet and the knit. Also… I am doing my first test knit because of you. Thanks for just being you and doing such a fun podcast!
Thank you!!! I'm loving all things stripes right now--I want more! Hahaha. I hope you're enjoying the test knit! It can feel so good to have a common deadline to work towards! Thank you 🥰
I love your Stripe Hype sweater! I’ve had some fisherman wool in my stash for around nine months, waiting to become a a stripe hype sweater. Your sweater is really making me want to cast it on for stash but spring! You should use your extras to make a little skirt so you can have a matching stripe hype set 🤩
I find twisted rib is very dense and tight. You might consider doing the front again on a bigger needle so it matches the back and doesn’t pull the front of your sweater in. I might need to knit one after watching you!
I think you're right! I'll happily experiment with needle size on the back panel and I'm sure I'll wind up going up a needle size or two. I genuinely couldn't recommend it more--straight up feel-good mindless knitting!
Your Stripe Hype sweater looks amazing! Your color selections always look so exciting to me. Part of my stashbust spring has been using cotton blends for summer knitting. I made my first tanktop out of a linen blend a friend gave me and am working on a pair of sleep shorts with a cotton blend I bought back in 2006 the first time I tried and failed to make a tank top back when I first started knitting. Even though neither yarn are colors I'd pick now for myself, I've been pleasantly surprised that I really do like the yarn bases, for all that I had been avoiding them because of the colors.
Thank you!! That’s exactly the kind of discovery I had hoped people would have when I started SBS!! I am so excited for you! The best part is, if you find that you don’t love the color still when it’s knit up, you can always try dyeing it!! I hope the color surprises you too!
I agree about the blocking! Also there are ways too test the yarn for content. e.g. wool smells peculiar and acrylic melts like plastic when you burn a bit of it.
I can’t wait to hear how you like the Eddie Bauer yarn!! I saw it just recently and was so surprised, and I love alpaca❤️! And their colors are gorgeous ! It was on sale for $6.99 when I saw it, I should’ve bought it!!
It’s seriously so beautiful and will most definitely be taunting me until I get around to it! A few people have commented that they’ve been working with it and they love it! I’m hoping to keep an eye out for more sales/coupons and will most likely purchase another sweaters quantity or two! It’s just so soft!!
I recently moved to FL from CT and am so sad the woolens are pretty much out of the picture now. But I have so much in stash, I’ll continue to knit with it and store it for visits home! But I may buy some when on sale again because it’s too good to pass up!
I am making a cardigan with the wool-paca eddie bauer yarn! I love it so far. The only drawback is the amount of "yarn barf" I got with using a center start (not a fluke-happened on each of the 6 balls I have used). The color I'm using, "Alaska gold" is such a pretty light brown. I'm hoping it works well as a neutral I can toss over a dress for work.
I definitely see the benefit in doing that too! I'm also thinking it's a little dramatic to drop all the way from 4mm to a 3mm, so I'm glad I've paused to reconsider that!
A mid podcast thought - you may have already figured out what to do with the 20g left over from your stripe hype sweater- however if not; have you seen the house blanket where you make little different colored houses with roofs and doors and windows and they line up like a quilt vibe - instead of making a blanket make a throw pillow for your house or a market bag with the house squares/ rectangles whichever is more your vibe! ( Now that you are color work queen- houses might be intarsia though i don’t know)
The Stripe Hype looks incredible! You made that you should absolutely be so excited 😊 I thought I had my colours picked but keep changing them. I think I am going to have to make two of them haha
I just discovered the Eddie Bauer yarn. I got some cotton because I’m in full warm weather makes mode, but I hope it sticks around for fall so I can get the wool-paca. Seriously, I got two tops’ worth of fingering weight cotton for $25, and I’m a big chested lady
Oh yes... I recently bought that Eddie Bauer Wool-Paca yarn in color Deep Pink and not only does it feel soft, the color is gorgeous in person. At least for me it is. I plan on knitting the In & Out Raglan by Ivana of The Republic of Me. I also want to make a matching beanie with the same yarn. Ohhhh, I'm so excited. Love all your WIPs. Thank you for sharing them.
“This could be my sock knitting “. ❤❤❤❤ me too… so far socks just haven’t been my thing although I am about to try dk socks for home:) but I am a garment maker through and through
I actually think a member of our crew here has spotted the yarn online!! I think she found the exact cone and now I can get to the bottom of it!! Thank you 🥰
Ok, I love that you named your crochet dress the Messi Dressi 😄 I need to check out that Eddie Bauer yarn. I don’t like scratchy yarn and it can get pricey buying the yarns I actually like. It would be fantastic to have a more budget friendly option to work with!
Hahaha isn't that fun?? Definitely do!! I'm shocked by how great it feels! We'll see when it's worked up and blocked, but as for initial reactions, it is soft as can be!
When you do get back to JoAnn's, see if they have the Lucky Brand Bamboo yarn at your store. I found some at my JoAnns a couple months ago and had to bring some home.
Hi Nora! As always your energy makes me smile. Sweater looks fabulous on you & just love the colors. Stripe Hype is on my list too. I'm one of those who has lots of fingering weight yarn to use up. Debating if I have enough to hold them double. I'd need to select and buy a new main color. Curious....what's your favorite method to avoid jogs with stripes in the round? Take good care.
Thank you so much!! It’s perfect for stash busting-I think it could be fun to have marled stripes too if you don’t have enough of any single color! I have to say that I did not take any care to avoid jogs 😂 however, Veronica actually includes her favorite method in the pattern! So helpful!
I have plans for like 5 sweaters using fishermen's wool. But have to finish socks for dad first. However that keeps being derailed by a whole house renovation.potential for a Real craft room or at least lovely shelves for my stash in a part of a room is my motivation, along with working bathrooms and the like lol. Listening while i sand bedroom doors!
I am constantly blown away by the fishermen's wool. The quality alone is beautiful, but then add the price and the yardage per skein--you can't beat it! We are happy to endure a reno if a craft room is the final product!! Sanding is one of my favorite activities--thanks for letting me tag along!
Allo Nora, I love your sweater 🥰. It is perfect ! I can't wait to see how you make your crochet Soccer Dress. It's a super original idea, I love it. I have three projects for the #StashBustingSpring. 1- Ripple Camisole by Jessie Maed Designs (with a skein bought on impulse a year ago) 2- Hype Stripe Sweater by Veronika Lindberg (with wool purchased during a trip to New Brunswick 3 years ago). 3- Love Letter Top by Veronika Lindberg (with Truboo yarn purchased on sale two years ago) I hope to have a project finished by the end of June...😜 Take care😀🤗
LisaR- Hi Nora ! With any lace , it's really difficult to see what it will look like until you block it -You may be completely surprised when you do ! ❤❤❤Love your striped Hype & bought the pattern!
Love your stripe hype…. I absolutely love mine and wear it a ton…. I may even make a fall winter version, the first one I made was out of a cotton wool blend
So I buy yarn every month, I have tightened my belt but by the 7th of every month I order my monthly yarn club yarn, I am using each of them to make hats for my families Christmas presents, last year I got stuck in a muck trying to finish Christmas present so what better solution than to start in January... That being said I'm still stash busting with my freshly finished test and continuing now another test!
I'm sitting in Peet's working on my stash bust WIP, yarn from my very first online buy back in Covid days! I made so many dumb moves with this project and every time I had to rip back it made me stall. Now I have momentum to finish and am being more mindful so hopefully no more disasterous errors..... Time will tell. #StashBustSpring 🤞
For pick ups I tend to measure around in one inch sections and mark with pins the divide the stitches I need by however many inches I have somewhere you might need a tweak or two but I’ve managed to get a nice look even if it is a bit of a faff
Heads up I got the K+C cotton and made my MIL a shirt the color I used was ground the entire time I knit it made my hands green there wasn't much that came out with washing, luckily skin on ones hands sheds quickly so luckily it was only a few days of green hands once I finished it
@@akaNoraKnits I tried washing it out so many times ... My joke was that my thumb was so green my hand turned green 😅 I definitely rushed through it in about a week
Nora I would pay money for you to help me pick colours for my knits 😂 Your stripe hype colour story is amazzzzzing! I need to practice knitting quicker because watching your vlogs get me so inspired to make all the things and I just can't keep up!
Ok, this is so funny, but I was just knitting with that exact Eddie Bauer yarn when in was watching your podcast!! How often does that happen?! I am working on a summer tank top in Off White color. It’s a pattern I am designing for this Summer. The yarn is so soft, and great yardage for the price!
Don't judge your lace piece until after you've blocked it, especially if it's wool! Though that's also a good reason to block your swatch, to make sure the stitch definition is how you want it. Fingers crossed for it.
Whoops, as soon as you mentioned the Eddie Bauer yarn I went online and bought a sweaters quantity in the most BEAUTIFUL dark red 😂 in my defense, it was $3 off per ball plus 25% off PLUS free shipping. Ended up being about 50% off. That’s a “thrifty-ish” purchase… right? 😅
100% thrift vibes! If there's anything I've learned during SBS, it's that you have to seize bargain opportunities if you want to save money. I try not to fall for the whole "get it now while you can!" but I certainly realize that sales come and go and some are too good to pass up!
@@akaNoraKnits yesss! After my 3 current wips are finished, I would’ve needed to by yarn for my next sweater anyway, so I might as well seize the sale while I can 😉
I have to say that I’m blown away by the amount of knitting you accomplish. Since I’ve started knitting I noticed that I wasn’t moving my body as much as I did prior to the sedentary hobby. Well, my body let me know in so many ways. Achy and out of shape and easily taxed. I’m working on a more balanced lifestyle. You’re young now, but it will sneak up on you. We must take equal care to living a healthy lifestyle as the care we put into our knitting. Balance.
I'm all about balance!! I think that's why I'm such an advocate for getting outside and knitting! Nothing is more exciting than a gorgeous day filled with a walk in a park and settling in to a park bench for a little knitting time. I actually spend most days on my feet for way longer than someone should, working and hustling all day without a break to sit--so for me, knitting helped me to stop and sit down once in a while. My knees are thanking me 😅 It is a great time to remember we should all find the balance 😊
#stash busting spring I have numerous scarves that are finished, half way through month 5 of my temperature blanket which all yarn so far has been given to me for my stash and am currently working on squares for another blanket and all yarn is stash
Hi Nora thank you for today's episode! I would say not to worry too much about the stitch definition on your Florence tank, the lace will likely open up when you block the finished piece
I was going to say the same thing 😄 Lace tends to look scrunched up before blocking.
Thank you!!! You guys are giving me so much more hope for my little tank 🥰
I was thinking the same thing. Just wait for the lace to be blocked, that's where the magic happens.
Hahahaa thank you so so much 🥰 a bright red ranunculus sounds absolutely divine!! Thank you so much for being here 🥰
I love your vlogs! Especially the art, and how absolutely creative and imaginative you are in your use of that. Please be not deterred and stay free!
Thank you so much 🥰
Your stripped sweater is looking fantastic!!! You will have a see of stripped sweaters if they become your sock knitting, and then everyone in your family will get a stripped sweater as a gift. Adorable! I can't wait to see your soccer dress. Happy knitting and crocheting 💚🧶💚
Striped sweaters for everyone! Striped dresses!! It’s so much fun!! Lol thank you!! Happy making!!
The stripe hype sweater is now in my queue! Love the podcast! Please don’t listen to the negative comment. You’re all good!!

I couldn't help myself 😂 I should've tried this on sooner......so I could discover how incredible it would be!
I thoroughly enjoy your videos. You are so adventurous in your projects and adaptations. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so so much 🥰
Thanks so much Nora!! Greaat episode. Your excitment about your knitting always inspires me!! You go GIRL!!! THe striped sweater is AMAZING!!
Thank you!!!! I’m so happy I can get excited with you guys 🥰 I appreciate you being here!!

Loooooove your Stripe Hype! Also, you Messi Dressi made me laugh. I’m excited to see it come together!

Love your stripe hype sweater! I’m getting ready to cast mine on and I can’t wait! Thank you for the laughs!
Thank you!! I’m excited for you! I hope you love it as much as I love mine!
Thank you Nora! That stripe hype!!!!!!!!!
The stripe hype looks great, super cozy. Hopefully your lace top will bloom with blocking.
Thank you!! It is ultimate cozy vibes!! I am hoping the same 🤞
Nora you have Inspired me so! Going to make this stripey gem! Yours is so beautiful on you!
Yayyy! Thank you!! We can all match virtually!

Great job!!
Thank you!! I think I’m going to compare it to some of my favorite sweaters/sweatshirts to make sure I get the length just right! Thank you 🥰
Getting to watch the video on a cabin porch instead of my living room! What a treat ❤️
That sounds sooo delightful!

Hi! How you are describing your thrifted yarn makes it sound like it has spinning oil in it! Spinning oil doesn’t actually make the yarn feel oily. It just sort of makes it feel like twine.
I recommend adding like half a teaspoon of dish soap to your water when you block it so assist in breaking up the oil!
Also! Your lace will look entirely different when blocked. I would give this a mid project block just to soothe your mind so you can enjoy the rest of the knitting process! 😊
100% agree with this comment. Especially since the yarn was on a cone, it probably was intended for machine knitting & would probably have oil in it!

Yayyy! 🥰🌸
You have to block lace much more aggressively to get the pattern to show nicely. This is when you may want to pin your swatch out when blocking.

You’ll have to let us know how you like the finished product!! That’s really good to know! Thank you!!
the stripe hype sweater love it... i have one more sleeve to go on mine... thanks for another great podcast
So close!! Thank you!
hyped about the stripe hype! You're making me want to make another one!!
It’s just so good!!
On the split hems that I’ve done, I prefer to knit the ribbing in the larger size needles so that bottom drapes, as opposed to cinching in.
I definitely see the benefit in doing that too! I'm also thinking it's a little dramatic to drop all the way from 4mm to a 3mm, so I'm glad I've paused to reconsider that!
Love the colors!
Thank you!!
Love your Stripe Hype. Your colour choice is super
Thank you!!
My first time watching and I love your intro jingle ❤
🥰 thank you so much!!
Blocking is magic - don't worry about your stitch definition just yet 😘
A mid podcast thought - you may have already figured out what to do with the 20g left over from your stripe hype sweater- however if not; have you seen the house blanket where you make little different colored houses with roofs and doors and windows and they line up like a quilt vibe - instead of making a blanket make a throw pillow for your house or a market bag with the house squares/ rectangles whichever is more your vibe! ( Now that you are color work queen- houses might be intarsia though i don’t know)
I am obsessedddddddd with that blanket!! I think that is a perfect idea for the leftovers!! Thank you!!!
Oh my goodness!! I totally want to make a stripe hype sweater now. You have inspired me!
I couldn't recommend it more!!
Your sweater is fabulous!
Thank you!!
The Stripe Hype looks incredible! You made that you should absolutely be so excited 😊 I thought I had my colours picked but keep changing them. I think I am going to have to make two of them haha
Thank you!!! I promise you'll be happy to make two! I think I need a more cheerful version!
The Stripe Hype has teased me since it's release. I think this weekend I'll need to go look in my stash and do some swatching!❤
I fully support this!! Lol
Yes, we love Stripe Hype. I’m on the search now for my color palette❤
Choosing the colors is half the fun!! Enjoy!
Such a great price!!! I really hope it sticks around because I’m eager to try the whole line!
THE DEEP PINK IS THE COLOR I AM EYEING! It will be my first purchase after SBS! Hahaha I am excited for you!! Thank you 🥰
Hi Nora, you have inspired me....I want to mske a stripe hype also
TRY ON: OMG you are adorable! Loved your reactions and analysis
Hahaha thank you!! It doesn't take much to excite me! 😅
I think because it’s a dark colour, the stitches don’t show how you would like. Light colours usually show more definition.
“This could be my sock knitting “. ❤❤❤❤ me too… so far socks just haven’t been my thing although I am about to try dk socks for home:) but I am a garment maker through and through
I just cannot get into it! I’ll try again-but for now, I’m happy to have my mindless sweater knit!
I’m gonna need that striped sweater in my wardrobe!!
No, you need 5! Hahaha
I’m using the new Adventurer Cotten in the Eddie Bauer line to make a Darjeeling Top by Trust the Mojo. About 1/4 through and loving it so far 😍
That is so amazing to know! Thank you for sharing!! Who knew we were all sleeping on Eddie Bauer 😂
It sounds like that green cone yarn may be a wool-acrylic blend. Maybe that will make it less warm for the summer months! Another great video Nora ✨
I actually think a member of our crew here has spotted the yarn online!! I think she found the exact cone and now I can get to the bottom of it!! Thank you 🥰
Love the stripe hype! Maybe you could make a cute little headscarf/neckercheif or headband to go with the sweater using your extra yarn?
Love that idea!! Thank you!
Oooh so good to know!! I’ll be in the lookout 🫡
I had just talked myself out of the stripe hype but now it’s going on the needles
I fully support an impulse cast on!
Love your stripes I am currently knitting the salty days sweater blanket same designer love love her patterns so well written
I have been eyeing that one too!! She is so talented-I can’t wait to knit another one of her patterns!
While I’m knitting my mind is wandering through my stash thinking oh it would look good in this colour oh and that wool would work too.
Allo Nora,
I love your sweater 🥰. It is perfect ! I can't wait to see how you make your crochet Soccer Dress. It's a super original idea, I love it.
I have three projects for the #StashBustingSpring.
1- Ripple Camisole by Jessie Maed Designs (with a skein bought on impulse a year ago)
2- Hype Stripe Sweater
by Veronika Lindberg (with wool purchased during a trip to New Brunswick 3 years ago).
3- Love Letter Top
by Veronika Lindberg (with Truboo yarn purchased on sale two years ago)
I hope to have a project finished by the end of June...😜
Take care😀🤗
Love your striped sweater. Nice and cozy ❤
Thank you!!
LisaR- Hi Nora ! With any lace , it's really difficult to see what it will look like until you block it -You may be completely surprised when you do ! ❤❤❤Love your striped Hype & bought the pattern!
So so true!! Thank you for the reminder! Thank you!! I hope you love it as much as I do!!!
Love your stripe hype…. I absolutely love mine and wear it a ton…. I may even make a fall winter version, the first one I made was out of a cotton wool blend
Thank you!! I’m thinking I need a summer version!! Cotton seems so light and breezy!
It's all about balance, isn't it!! I love that you're being a proactive gift-knitter!
We've all been there!!! I love to hear that a long-time stash yarn is finally finding it's forever home!
For pick ups I tend to measure around in one inch sections and mark with pins the divide the stitches I need by however many inches I have somewhere you might need a tweak or two but I’ve managed to get a nice look even if it is a bit of a faff
That is so smart!! Especially when you are dealing with a lot of stitches on sleeves--I'll have to try it! Thank you!
I’m knitting a new Veronika Lindberg (Kutovakika) pattern right this second using the Eddie Bauer Wool Paca in bright white. It’s very lovely!
Soo happy to hear that!
Heads up I got the K+C cotton and made my MIL a shirt the color I used was ground the entire time I knit it made my hands green there wasn't much that came out with washing, luckily skin on ones hands sheds quickly so luckily it was only a few days of green hands once I finished it
The shedding of the hand skin 😂 I'm glad it came out!!
You are too funny 😂 it's one of my favorite parts of the process!!
@@akaNoraKnits ack it's one of my least favourite, I swear it's where I spend 90% of my pre-casting on time, and I always second guess myself! 😆
Make a hood and pocket addition with the leftovers
Love it you have inspired me me
Yayy! Thanks for being here!
Oooh yayy! That is so exciting to hear!! I love when that happens 😂 please let us know when your design is out. I’d love to see if all worked up!
I am thinking about making a striped jersey doing a mix of this and a gingersnap pattern. Using two or three colours
Ooooh I love this idea!!
I don’t think you should worry too much about stitch definition until you fully block because it may surprise you 🥰
Thank you!!
Don't judge your lace piece until after you've blocked it, especially if it's wool! Though that's also a good reason to block your swatch, to make sure the stitch definition is how you want it. Fingers crossed for it.
I am working on a peach fuzz sweater. It has striped sleeves and a split hem.
That sounds divine and oh so color of the year!
After my 3 current wips are finished, I would’ve needed to by yarn for my next sweater anyway, so I might as well seize the sale while I can 😉
You are forgetting that sari nordlands top has been washed and blocked!
So so true!! I'm sure I'm just overthinking it!
Blocking is magic. Once you wash and block it will likely look totally different.
Here's hoping!! 🤞
If you have enough main color do mini stripes near the bottom of the dress,
Nora your vest is beautiful. Once you block it you may get more definition. Either way it’s beautiful
Thank you!! I do really love the way it's looking! I think it thrives particularly well on camera too!
#stashBustSpring - Im working on a colorblock cardigan. the body is made out of 8x4 squares and the yarn is all old cotton yarn from my crochet days
I love that idea!! Sounds like the perfect spring/summer layering piece!
Yayyy! I love all the creative ways to work up stash!!
@@akaNoraKnits when and where do we post our pictures? I seem to miss that bit of info every time🤦♀️
