I just received mine this week. It's super smooth and pretty damn sharp. I've been a Benchmade guy for maybe 16 years now. I have autos and assisted openers...My last Benchmade was an Auto Triage that I carried on duty. ZT is on another level. Yes, the glow in the dark BS is not a feature that I care about at all, but the knife is awesome.

I had a bad feeling when I ordered this knife, mainly because a lot of zt knives from 2018 had lock slip issues. It arrived yesterday and the first thing I did was to check the lock-up. It was a relief to see it was solid. But - on the other side - the detend was pretty damn solid as well. It has gotten a lot better, but the first couple times I flipped it open, it was pretty painful for my index finger.
Still a great knife though, despite that and the little bigger price tag.

5 years from the future, man hearing I could have grabbed the blue for 200 would be nice. Tempted to pick this up for 220 on secondary market right now. Thanks for the vid MC!
I’m new to all this knife stuff but really like this knife. Is there somewhere to buy scales to replace the glow in the dark parts if you don’t like them?
I have the standard model and the detent is very soft but it’s still an amazing knife
I've been sorta watching these for a while and started watching them go out of stock. Bought one this morning through Amazon from a US knife store. This will be my second glow series from ZT - the first being an all black ZT 452GL. I agree this knife will probably appreciate in value. Too bad it's going to be my new EDC and probably get a lot of pocket time. I agree an all black would be cool but a stonewash distressed black that looks better as is wears would be key. I have an all black 452GL but don't carry it because any scratches would really stand out. Plus I have the 452TI and original 452CF that are my carry versions of this knife.
A battle-worn looking '393 in black would warrant another purchase
The glowing scales are just like you said, a gimmick, but cool. I've never owned a ZT. That one looks nice.
Re the scales- having seen this knife in full coverage marbled CF much like you're describing, to me it makes the knife look much more handle-heavy what with the 4.75 inch handle versus a 3.5 inch blade. The Maximus style scales make the overall proportions appear more balanced.
This one honestly just looks really nice, I like the ergos as well.
Cool knife but ill get a small steel will intrigue mini instead as I prefer small knives.
It's over a year and a half in the future and these are still on sale. Govx for $240.

Just bought one. Action is a bit stiff but other than that it's great. My serial number is in the 7000s so it looks like they kept making them.

Your really selling me on the zt0393 over the zt056ti. The style of the zt0393 is more me. Added marbled carbon inserts would look way nicer than the weave.
It's a shame that the blue and black version went away. I actually really liked it, it was more fitting for this knife imo
wish they had the satin steel with the grind marks on the glcf. this is what sells zt's in my opinion. the demise of this model is sad and predictable, although future demand in the secondary market is very likely. thanks!
I am trying to decide if I want this 0393 or th 056ti. What ones the better blade for cutting probably the slicer blade on the 056ti.
I think you mean the 0562ti... there is no three digit ZT knives

Are you sure they are all discontinued? From what I have seen, only the blue version is, kind of like the plain 0562.
If you ordered on Amazon they say that their have been some counterfeit knives shown up....read some of the comments.
So tempted to buy a Medford Proxima but I can get this and a 0462 and save $140.00

Just got one of these, I'm shocked you can still find them in stock in places. A lot the major sites are out though. Don't sleep on this, you don't want to have to play the secondary market for one of these. They will legit be out of stock new very soon. Even if they remained in production forever it would be worth getting, especially with the direction ZT has been going in design, more style over strength with a few exceptions lately.

Good review, there are still a few out there but selection is kind of limited. Prices range is significant. As of now, SMKW had the best price that I could find but only in one version, other versions are going for up to $100 dollars more. Thanks for the vid MC.

I never cared for any of the anodized 0393s, wish they would have made the gray SW S35VN a standard production model because I'd get that. I also agree with your idea of a standard S35VN with full G-10 scales (that don't go to the edges). The cutouts just don't do it for me.
P.S. I just figured out how to open my 0562 using the blade stop pin as a thumbstud! It really isn't designed to do that lol but I kept trying after seeing you do it.
Just got this in the mail today. Didn't care about the glow scales. As you and others mentioned, its a gimmick but whatever. I also didn't like the blue one, and I believe as you mentioned about the 0393SW, found it a little odd that it came with S35VN. So when I saw this, with CF, 20CV and it wasn't blue I jumped on it. At the moment, might still like my 0562Ti a little better, but time will tell...haven't really 'used' it yet. Mine also has a great detent, though could see others thinking it is a bit on the strong side, but I like it. Also, just fyi, mine is #0634. Also also, really enjoying your channel. Thank you sir!

I like this knife a lot but I can’t get over that piece and screw toward the bottom of the scale. Wtf is that?
It's for a reversible clip. It's a common feature on Hinderer knives to have the filler tab there. Better than just having two or three holes in the scale, if a knife has to have a reversible clip, which I'm not convinced they all should personally as I think it does distract from the design
