- In the first-ever game at Target Field, the Twins got three early runs and six solid innings from Carl Pavano. Jason Kubel hit the ballpark's first homer, a two-run shot in the 7th, and the Twins won 5-2.

The league removed them because it was "distracting" players in the batters eye. I think something else could be put out there though

Baseball is meant to be played outside. US's ugliest ballparks are all indoors and retractable roof stadiums that look like hangers

In MN above 45degrees yes and MN does not have the sun heat in deep south areas won't require immediate new stadiums like in ATL and TEX in less than 20 years. MN fans made it thru the 30 year lease at dome and we have this and the US Bank if needed as field can also be config for baseball. Lot of playoff games I see played with roof closed and new outdoor stadium for CWS had no change in attendance until dome type sound improvements, good team (took 15yrs) and plaza enhancements. 😊
