Who is that female singer? She sounds better than any other female singer I can think of, especially since this was the pre-Auto-Tune era. I'm reasonably sure she is doubling herself (two takes mixed together), but as close to perfect as humanly possible. I love her relative lack of vibrato. Many people fall in love with their own vibrato and never learn to turn it off. It makes them worthless as singers -- you can't harmonize like the Beach Boys or the Beatles if your vibrato is constantly on. This woman is singing like a flute. My favorite female singers include Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Chrissie Hynde, and Joan Jett (who's barely a singer, but kicks ass nonetheless). This woman is better than all of them. *WHO IS SHE?!?*
I've spoken with Ellie a few times on Facebook and she seems like an absolutely lovely human being. She made such a gorgeous contribution to Jonathan's already gorgeous songs. She still sings live in bands in her local area.
@@davidguyett32 The main lead voice for this song was Ellie Marshall, although it’s also Beth Harrington you can hear adding her harmonies. They do sound wonderful together on all of this album. And they sounded great live too.
