the best version of four season i have ever seen

One of my first CD was the Four Seasons played by Shaham and the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra in the 1990s. To this day, even after having heard dozens of versions of this cycle, that album remains my gold standard. I've yet to hear a finer rendition.

Vivaldi wrote for the students test. This is an A+. Even the ladies wore red as a tribute to Vivaldi who was Cardinal.

I have to admit that every once in a while it is refreshing to listen to a non HIP o the Vivaldi four seasons. Also the virtuosity of players like Shaham is a plus

Fantastic rendition. I always find it so interesting how Gil Shaham's bow is so tight. Not knocking it, it works for me! Just worries me how tight it is! Lol.

Bravo!! I had never heard Shaham play the seasons. It is wonderful - and the orchestra is excellent. Heifetz never recorded this so we will never know what it might have sounded like. (The English Concert with Simon Standage made a fantastic "authentic" recording many years ago and it remains my favorite.)
