- Josh Mazerolle has managed to create one of the craziest widebody Toyota mini trucks the world has ever seen, by mere accident and circumstances mixed with determination.
Sporting power numbers dwarfing even some dedicated track builds by way of a twin turbo LS V8, his 1977 Toyota Hilux, aptly nicknamed "Deathwish" has captured the attention of people all across the country, with humble beginnings, to a still humble, yet loud, presence.

When can we see Ep 2??!!
Next Thursday!
I smiled for eight plus minutes. Thanks Will.
this pleases me!
Best video I've seen in ages. This young man has got life by the balls with the attitude he has, Toyota or not.
Thank you for sharing this with us.👍
Great praise on all counts, thank you
This is awesome. And he’s spot on about the kindness of regular people and car people in particular.
Totally agree! 💯
It’s really funny because when you go on the internet and look at all of these videos and the comments, the car community seems super toxic and hateful. But when you experience it in person and meet new people in the community, they don’t even have to be like minded, it’s very different.
Not gonna lie, this is one of the most well-put-together and edited automotive pieces I’ve watched. It all helped amplify what was already an amazing story that Josh has to tell. Well done! 👍🏻
this video made my day... one closer to a billion
wow the production quality on this is fantastic. Looking forward to the next episode.
Means a lot, thanks for the good feedback. Cant wait to get the next one out there next Thurs. Lots of epic scenery.
definitely great quality, great subject! Want lots of shows like this!
@@frank9592 more to come!
This guy needs a tire sponsor !!! Where are you Faulken !?! Hes on a mission !!! A Million Smiles with a Million Miles !!
Hes a top man, watched many of his vids. Humbleness, meekness, mildness, long-suffering....
Fell in love with this truck on Instagram about a year ago and hearing the story of the builder and build is unreal and I watched the video of him driving it across the United States.
I remember following your journey in real time on Busted Knuckle, had me addicted waiting for new videos. Good dude.
My signature at 07:16! Befriending Josh literally changed my life. I'm embarking on another road trip - this time 4500 miles - in punishstang in 2 weeks. I'll figure it out as I go and make friends and memories all the way 🤙
Overpowered, Rowdy, totally unnecessary...i love it.
"So I had to put the turbo on"...that's a real man 👍
Josh! You have found what I have found with "car people". We bend over backwards for each other. True car people do not care if you have a 1915 EMF, 2008 Civic Si, or a 2018 Challenger Demon. It is about the emotional connection, the experience of your passion for "cars". I have seen it in so many high profile and low life people. You do, you exude what you can do. Folks that make sure that their Ford Fiesta has period correct lug nut covers, to race shops that engineer LMP cars......all the same . They love cars.
Well said my friend
This truck DEFINITELY makes me smile! 😄 and miss my 89 4x4...
This film made me cry! I loved it! The car scene can be very judgmental and mean, but this man and his machine define the term "car lover". The best builders build for themselves, and this guy nailed it! Thank you for making this film. Keep it up!
No matter the divisions out there Americans are the most kind and helpful people on the planet. thanks for putting a smile on my face.
I woulld like to say thanks for the video. As well as uploading in ultra wide format.
thanks for the support, and for appreciating the Ultrawide!
As soon as I read the title I immediately gave the vid a like. How could you not?
Love the flares, hate the rust patina. I don't understand how that ever became a thing. To each their own I guess. What a monster :) Awesome story.
I'm not crying! YOUR CRYING
best video.. thank you.. so much love in it, shout out to the camera crew who could capture this..
I came out the womb kicking the clutch = Subscribed
The way this was built and put together is above all on this build. BUT, that motor with twins is a power house and a half 🤣
Definition of I can spin any gear 🤠
Wow dude has a tv show going now. Well done that's impressive congrats
This video deserves 1000 million views
got a ways to go but working on it!
I saw this truck at the show in Boston. It was something about it. It just brings a smile to your face and to see it in person was a gift. Great job. I even have pictures of it at the show!
Explains it all. Hopefully this will show the missus what I've been trying to say about owning cars. She doesn't see them like we do. And doesn't understand why I go through with all the issues on the old cars I love. Theres just something about them .
My first vehicle was a 1977 toyota hilux and every time I see this crazy one on a video I get the urge to go and find mine to buy it back.
the time is now!!
I've seen this thing a few times on videos and social media, and never understood the fascination with it. Leave it to HMC to tell the story, and do the job 10 times better than the previous attempts.
I like it you have a good imagination on the truck like the widebody it's just so unique you don't see that everyday
Count me in your billion dude. I watched the video thinking I'd fall in love with the the truck and I did, but it was secondary to the story of the truck. Fantastic story.
We need to make this guy a billionaire
Such a touching story. So well told. Significant life lessons. Heartwarming, fun, inspiring & motivational. Thank you Josh, Will and Rob. You NAILED it.
Thanks sir! Glad it hit all the right feels! #missionaccomplished
Cops love it cause most cops including this one are gearheads! We love fast, loud, and dangerous. You're attitude determines the exchange you'll get. Btw love the truck.
Right on man. Love the truck, the story and the attitude. You’ve got it figured out.
Well said.👍
So much respect for this guy. And great video sharing his story
HeavyMetalConspects what's more metal then electructued truck beds? You might dig it check out my RUclips page only got one video but it's of it. The last 3 mins are a walk around the truck
This car, and the motor, is amazing. Best regards from Germany..
This truck is gorgeous
God... I love the sound of the engines right after he started it up.
Joshua Collins sunny slope
This rowdy truck put a big smile on my face 😁🤯
man I'm loving this terminal apex series of vids. I just binge-watched all of them. 10/10
appreciate that very much!
Love it! What a SICK truck!!
Thanks man! Josh does some crazy cool stuff, much to our benefit
What a fun looking ride! Great build sir
Omg this truck is straight up beautiful. Oh and most of you probably didn't notice how "BAD A$$" it is because it's so subtle lol. Man what a beast this is and I just can't say it enough how cool it is. I'm normally not a big fan of these older Toyota pickups but looking at this truck makes me rethink life if I was wrong about the older Toyota trucks what els have I been wrong about? Are my kids even my kids I mean my oldest boy is Mexican and I'm Irish maybe he might not be mine hhmmm I just don't know 🤔😐😲.
Us gear heads are a different breed. Random engine selling craigslist guy stays up all night to help a dude with a motor swap.
Love you fellow gear nerds man
Helix for president!
This looks like something out of
Mad Max
Love that Anarchy sticker on it! Been following this build for ever and love what it has given Josh.
This was gold, amazing video quality and content.
*Thank you!*
Saw this thing in real life a few months ago at the hot wheels show in new jersey. This truck is awesome and that's an understatement
This is the most humble good attitude TUNER I ever SEEN!!!!
So good!
Dudes an absolute inspiration, I’m from Massachusetts and saw video of your Kei truck, noticed a New Hampshire plate so I had to see and wow you have built some real pieces of art I love it. Currently building my 91 gtr

Restoration of faith in humanity ........good stuff
Great video. Absolutely love the passion this guy has. We need more people like him in car communities around the world.
Madness. Perfect, inspiring madness.
Love it!!
Now this is speaking from the heart and can feel his words
Go get em cowboy 🤠
Goosebumps..
Killer story. Love the police support too.
Straight from a Mad Max scene at 1:24. And that is quite a story you have. Inspiring. Thanks for posting.
The redefinition of billionaire tho... That shit was deep
Amazing video, the way the story is told and the help he got from strangers along his way home just shows that there is more good people in this world then bad.
What a simply brilliant story and life goal ...top bloke ...real quality
The video is soo refreshing must say...
I just Love car stories like this ☺️
Love his outlook on America!

This was great! You guys are a huge inspiration.
Very glad to hear that. For real
Made me smile! Awesomely ridiculous!
That was a sick story!! Love it man 👌
I love everything about the truck and story . I currently have a 1983 toyota 4wd I'm building. Ever since my dad got one when I was younger I just had to have one. 4 years since I've had the truck I have met a lot of fucking cool ass people that helped me out. It's not really about the vehicle, it's how you make memories with the people
This ride have soul and story, and share life with driver
Very cool!!!
Great work, very good photography and montage.
