Perseverance amidst the consequences of your own questionable choices is an interesting lifestyle paradigm. I approve.
Well versed, Mr. Bolian.
Today in words we never expected in a Car Story - the "fornicatorium"
I believe that the Chili Peppers could do something with that!
😂😂😂
Well Ed, a well known Floridian bodybuilder with the moniker of Big Lenny here on RUclips has coined the term "ejac...uh ..well e(v)aculatorium" but you catch the drift so to speak lol
it's almost as good as "Murcialalalgo"
@@jeffreyoldham55I'm reasonably certain they did do something like that.
Man somehow this guy comes on here and tells one of the most insane stories I’ve ever heard.
The stories this guy can tell about this automotive insanity project are hilarious and inspiring.
This guy was cool as hell in real life too. He stopped by my work and showed us the truck. This story is amazing to hear.
Super humble guy! Met him a few times and have the front fenders off this in my shed.
This story takes me back, my first vehicle was a 83 Toyota pickup. But its 22RE worked perfectly as long as you added a quart of oil every month.
That was one of the best VINwiki stories EVER!
Love the signing the B Pilar thing
I had a '76, one day half of the grill flew off and hit the windshield! Another day, while checking the fuel and filling the oil, I forgot to put the oil cap on and it sprayed oil all over the exhaust manifold. Took me 5 times of blowing out the fire before it stayed out. Final straw was when I parked it against the curb. As I straightened the wheel, I bent the tie rod (manual steering)
My first vehicle was a '75 Hilux with the old 20R. Ended up putting a Weber downdraft 32/36 with mechanical secondaries. Cracked that block.....and went with a 22R with a header.
Just helped Josh in marinsburg wv in his 79 square body broke down!! Pulled him to a advance and helped make sure he was fixed up!! Super humble guy I recognized him, cool ass guy soo glad I could help him out if your ever back in area again I take u for a wild night!! So glad i could help him out!!!! Would post pic if I could!!!
My 88 has a 22re. Yeah they make no power on a good day. VT mountains are always fun to crawl up a 5000rpm. But you can't kill that engine. Love seeing another old toyota saved from the grave.
Okay, now there is a story! “Road Kill” from hell. Freyburger
(sic) and Finegan (also sic) would be so proud of you l
Love Joshs content, always has a great attitude, and always finds the best people all over the country.
Hell ya!!! Need some more Yota love on this channel
Small( mini) trucks RULE. Back in the eighties we used to put small block Chevys in them & then scare the shit out of ourselves.
I remember seeing this series on prime i think. Not 100% sure that was the program... Deathwish??? Extremely entertaining series. Pretty sure he was on a few other series with this truck. What an amazing story, him driving across the country, and having everyone who helps sign the truck.. amazing dude!!! Amazing show!!!
This guy is like my kids and drives his hooptie waaaaay farther than he should
Normally I wouldn’t sit thru THIS kind of Narrated video that shows NONE of the vehicle listed other than snippets of Randomness…But this is a Really cool störy! Idve sent that POS yoda to the Scrap LONG before I ever even put OIL in it, let alone stuff 2 engines in it and drive some Odd THOUSANDS of miles in it! This is HUMAN KINDNESS GOLD at its BEST!
How come you haven’t interviewed the dude who 3D printed a full size fully functional Lamborghini Huracan?
The 22R is a very simple and robust. It has one head. One can shaft, four intake valves and four exhaust valves. One exhaust manifold, a small distributor, etc.
The 22rt can be built to put out huge power for a 1970’s or 1980’s 4 cylinder while staying very reliable.
Looks like a scrapyard Hoonitruck xD
Amazing how some serious perseverance and elbow grease from hundreds of people managed to build this awesome monster.
The amount of things that comes out of spite is amazing. It's almost a requirement to have someone say "oh you can't do that"
Was he ghost riding the whip on the highway? Love it. Haven’t seen someone do that since 09
Can you do a valve adjustment without a feeler gauge?
Hold my beer. No, really, hold my beer, drink it, then hand me the beer can 😂
"Sinbad was her name.."
I fucking love Josh!!! He is one of the smartest and best people I know. Appreciate the dude so much!
Neighbor a couple years older had an Isuzu pup with a 383 and tubbed back wheels!
Josh is an absolute animal! And is the epitome of what a "true car guy" is. That little Toyota is one of my favorite builds ever!
You're MacDryver!
This dude comes across as a humble good dude. Love his channel and his builds. Glad hes having the success he deserves. Good shit!
I'm rocking a 1993 toyota 22RE with 155,000 miles. I had to get out of necessity after my 1992 Ford F-150 burnt down. I'm still working out some of the electric gremlins. The turn signals and hazards don't work nor dose the check engine light. I had to replace the radiator because it was bent four different ways. This truck was just absolutely abused and not taken care of, but I have my dream truck that I am preparing to drive across the United States in September.
Spotters truck in savannah. Thing is wild. Of course, there was a crowd but when you at a gas station where the only thing exciting is tweekers, you will get a crowd. It sucks that I wasn't able to stop but it was something cool to see on a typical boring day in savannah
Attitude is everything!
For my bachelor road trip, I went to Portland Oregon with the guys. Bought 2 vehicles as most of the guys didn’t want another car. 98 Subaru Outback manual(flawless, $1200) and a 1987 Toyota pickup with horrible paint and an identical noise to your description. I drove it 2400 miles home with a full bottle of Lucas oil stabilizer and 20w50 oil lol. Changed back to 10w30 and drove for 4 more months. Sold to a kid from 4 hours away with the engine noise getting worse. A Toyota friend I had met in this new buyers home town of Houghton MI messaged asking if I was in town 😂. Gotta love the Toyota family. 22r power!!
Picked up my ride with " the tic of death", paid $500 for it, poured a can of STP oil treatment in it & drove it for months after that. The guy I bought it from actually dropped his jaw when I drove it away. Good times.
@@mrmoss149 gotta love it.
I had a 97 grand Cherokee 4.0 that had a horrible tick/knock to it when I bought it but it ran really smooth even with 275k+ on it. Drove it for my daily for over a year and took many road trips in it. At around 300k it finally went (while in Portland Oregon funny enough) it’d still start and run but the blow by was so bad you’d get pulled over immediately if you tried going down the road. Towed it home and sold it for $100 more than I paid. My wife always knows she’s in for an adventure when I drag home $500 vehicles. My 65 galaxie would always run perfect except for when she was with me, that car was jealous or something because the most random stuff would happen if she was with me. Always got us home though.
One of the best builds and mindset!!!
This guy reminds me of that 1 friend who every time he calls you just shake your head cuz he either needs help with some super random project that needs to be done by tomorrow morning OR he’s broke down like 800+ miles away and needs you to find a car trailer at midnight to come pick him up right now
I need this guy to be my friend! He can get a car anywhere with some zip ties and vise grips! Oh and I can’t forget the beer can! Ha
Human beings tend to forget most people are cool. The bad ones tend to stick in our brains tho.
that's what i call dedication.
I truly wonder how Ed keeps a straight face during these conversations
This is an awesome story!!
Amazing the things that can happen/get done out of pure spite. The story behind the man & his truck just got a hole lot better
Just amazing I wish I had the courage to just go to things like that
IYKYK - this sounds like some Sakura stories
every once in a blue moon, revenge is a piping HOT dish...
Really neat story a hell of a build
where did you find this guy😂😂 love it
NICE! Beer Can feeler gauge YEA!
i just saw this guy on hooningan working on zacks suspension (and coffee)
Yup, I'm a huge fan of Toyota's!😉
I kind of love widebody-but-rusted-out builds like this. Mad props to this guy's wild Hillux, as most of the ones I see where I live are from the mid-late 1980s and are all prepped for off-roading. One of them, that's the "Shop Truck" for a local mechanic, sounds heavenly though...
I love this, whenever someone tries to screw my business over I turn it around and make it better.
Clear coat those signatures that’s something special
This story deserves 100,000 likes get the likes of people please
More Toyota content plz. Toyota stories are the best 👌
This was cool. I don’t know how I saw this but it was really good!
So, grand tour?
Deathwish is a great channel. This Toyota is great.
Idk who would leave a Hilux in the dessert outside Phoenix. And idk how it stayed there so long once it was left. Of that was Argo d
Here it might of sat for 10 days max.
Ha I live in Camp Verde, between Phoenix and Flagstaff
So did it barely have enough power to do 60 or barely enough power to do 65?
In Phoenix, I would have given you a garage and a hand to get back on the road!
Rad truck.
Genius dude.
👍👍ayyyyyyyyy!
Joe 'the one' True, car guy for the ages
Success may be its own reward. But Absurdity is the best reward. LoL
Success is the best revenge.
I usually don't judge a vid until over... but this one is a "Like and Share" just from the thumbnail. 😏
I hafta wait for lunch to watch it.
It sounds like the Hilux was crap, but basically any other vehicle left where the Hilux was not only would other vehicles not make it home other vehicles wouldn’t even start.
listen son, i inspect my own cars when i buy em. got a good record too
I REALLY enjoyed this episode!! AWESOME story dude!!
ROADKILL!!!!!!!.
ADHD personified. And I'm loving every minute of it lol
Dude needs a bigger cowboy hat
Why does every dude from Maine look like Doug Tabbutt?
This has to be one of the best stories I've ever heard I'm here And the best story on here in a while
VinWiki has a 1 billion views! (I heard it’s actually 1.3 billion, but got rolled back)
You NEVER ask for another man's tools. Didnt your daddy teach you that lol.
Good stuff though
Really dumb putting powerstroke in the other lux ,he needs to rup that out and splash out $ to put a v8 twin turbo diesel from land cruiser in it
These go for new car prices in Europe.
Right??
I don't know what any of this means.
Amazing story!
If a cop was eating the continental breakfast, he is the dumbest cop in America. They eat free at regular restaurants.
Car. Make sure to use the lemon squad
Sorry, he should be pulled over for endangerment

Is America just the land of spare time and money 😂😂
We are the land of opportunity. If you want to do something, you can make it happen.
Must have been before Uber
#donutgarage
🔪😂💪🏾
Can we rename this video: "Grifter talks for 16 and a half minutes"?
Nothing wrong with making money where you can make it.
Now THAT’s a VINWiki story. 🤌🏼
