- Watch the UK's first double girder frame convoy transporting a 195te transformer and a 150te reactor from Stafford to Ninfield Substation in Sussex. The journey included road and marine transport as well as constructing an overbridge.
Great skill shown by the team .
Thats what we call teamwork #proud
credit to the planers .great job
I wondered why they were going over ramps on that bridge, I realised they’re between each span so obviously to strengthen the bridge deck.
People are still talking about this locally. BTW Shoreham-by-Sea is in West Sussex.
Great job
I need a job I'm SPMT operator
If I am correct was this the one that featured in the TV series called Trucking Heavy?
🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩👍👍👍
So, please tell me, why the huge rigs to transport these transformers, when the one that was transported here locally, was on two 12 bogies? Why not transport it that way all the time?
The maximum axle load allowed on UK roads is 16.5 tonnes the heavier the load the stronger and hence heavier the trailer required so for example a 250t load would require a trailer at about 250t so 32 axels plus tractor units.

This is fake video. 4 photos made the same idea. If you paid whoever made it, you're crazy
Fake video? This is to show what Allelys do all the time throughout the UK, in all the heavy goods they transport. There are many other Videos of their work, demonstrating what they do. To heavy haulage enthusiasts and professionals alike, these are great viewing. You don't have to view it!
