Watch the final stage of the transportation from Goole Docks to Skelton Grange EFW for this 160te turbine. Transported on a 24 axle girder frame, the turbine was then lifted by our LG1550 crane through the roof of the 22.3m building, and precisely lowered onto its final position. #specialisttransport #heavylift #energyfromwaste #crane

As part of a full turnkey solution, Allelys delivered and installed eight transformers across two separate projects for the Kergord Energy Substation and Viking Energy Substation on the Shetland Islands. The first project involved transporting four transformers, all weighing 168te, using a 15 axle modular trailer from Lerwick Port to the Kergord Substation.

Allelys have successfully completed the transport and installation of a 113te reactor for Frodsham substation. The reactor, measuring 6.5m (l) x 2.7m (w) x 4m (h) was received at Immingham port and transported to Frodsham using 12 axle lines of modular trailers.

WTF! You guys killed the job with all that equipment! 2 Versalifts, 4 hydraulic gantry towers, and 2 SPMT Good thing there was a lot of room to maneuver!
There are only two ways such a load could get through Porthmadog and both involve bridges which must have weight limits. Does anyone know the actual route taken. I'm sure the bypass would not stand that load?

A magnificent planning achievement considering everything including crew had to be shipped to Shetland. The converter is not far north of where Ill be spending a weeks holiday in a fortnight's time.
This would have made one hell of a tv program, far better that the absolutely junk they put on these days. Saturday and Sunday nights TV is totally rubbish!!!

Those Man tractor units have earned their keep and the Goldhofer units are straight from Thunderbirds. Amazing job and as KevinBower has said an object lesson in corporate marketing. Another awesome move from Allelys.
Is this transformer similar to what was brought to South Wales (Hirwaun) recently?
Really interesting. Could you please explain why anything to do with electricity is so heavy. The generator is not actually that large physically but weighs 350 tons.
Watched alot of Allelys videos but never seen 5 trucks out front pulling. Must have used every heavy hauler in the Highlands

A complete object lesson in how to produce a compelling corporate promo, complete with the various 'unseen' terrain and surface-related obstacles you overcame - the drone footage is especially impressive. You’re paying for it all through your energy bill. Next time you receive your eye-watering energy bill just remember that a big chunk of it is to pay the subsides(strike price) that these wind farms need to run.

BUT why move them in the dark? Surely the few locals wouldn't have been inconvenienced that much.
The other road is single track so not suitable for normal traffic - there aren't many roads up there
@@abzzeusMany of Shetland’s roads are excellent. That includes access roads to renewable sites. Yes there are some single track with passing places. But few of them can’t be used by HGVs.
