Star Wars Vintage Collection WORST to FIRST Skiff Guards & Jabba's Palace Residents

- Welcome to another Worst to First video. In this episode I try to rate all of the Skiff Guards and Jabba's Palace residents from the Hasbro Vintage Collection.
As you can imagine it was very difficult to put these figures and card backs in any type of order and in the main all of them are very good 3.75 inch Star Wars figures. But, I did it, you may not agree with my list and that is fine. But let me know in the comments below what you think of my list and perhaps who you would rate differently.

I'd only watched half of this and didn't get to see your final choices. I actually mentioned you and this video last night when I made a video on my skiff three pack opening video. I knew you'd put Nikto lower that Vedain (which I disagreed with honestly haha and even Vizam. I think they're much inferior figures to classic Nikto. Plus that card is as classic as Wooof. BUT spreading of Wooof, thanks for making him #1 💙💙💙 incredible.
You're do right tho... it is so hard to put them in order! I've been meaning to do a top 5 Expanded Universe video and THAT'S so hard to put in order! ! 😣 each candidate in the top 5 could be top in their own right! ! ☺

Thanks OOK, there is very little between them but I do really like the Vedain figure over the other two Niktos.
Wooof though is a top figure. I need that LC Giran though as that figure is right up there in terms of detail.
This video finally made me buy Wooof last year. Got a decent deal for a complete loose one off eBay at the time, but now they’re rereleasing him for cheap 😂

Yeah in the main. The Entertainer occasionally has older stock. For example the Dr Aphra/ Range Trooper wave are going for £5 each at the moment.

Thank you for doing this. I’ve been looking for a list of all the More Recent Skiff Figures for a while now, and wasn’t able to find anything definitive. This video is exactly what I needed, and I think it’s fantastic. You saved me from having to weed through a lot of web pages to make my own!

The saga collection and 30th anniversary figures did some amazing characters, and there was a weequay issued between the early 2000s I can't remember the exact series, I've got to go and look through my collection of packed away stuff now to find it .
They sure did, lots of Jabba's Palace goons. This was just the ones on Vintage style cards though so couldn't include them.

Very nice ranking video! So hard to rank these very cool figures. I can't really comment on them directly, we don't have any of them. We are so behind on The Vintage Collection figures.
I know you guys tend to prefer the Black Series. Did you get hold of that SDCC Boba Fett?
I didn't go after the SDCC Boba Fett. After the mess that was the Episode I 20th Anniversary figures, I didn't even try. I am a huge fan of TVC figures, it just they are not readily available. I prefer not to order online, but I may have to do for some of these latest waves. It doesn't look like they are not going to be available in stores, unless retailers here are holding everything back for Triple Force Friday.

Yeah they are very similar. I want that Legacy (Nysad, Skiff Gunner) on a Vintage card!

So cool! Really impressive you own them all man! I only own Klaatu and Saelt-Marae so far, with a pre-order of the three Skiff guys on hold! Would really like to pick up the re-pack of the Gammorean Guard too. 😊

Some of these dudes are pricey these days!! I'm gonna be hella mad if I go spend stupid dollars to get Jabba henchmen only to have them all be reissued or re-released.

Yes the lack of blaster was a shock to me, in my review I thought it may have fallen out when I opened the pack but sadly no.

great list tim only slight change I'd make is to swap places with gamorrean guard and yakface , Highly impressed with the triple skiff guard pack , only thing is to keep them m.i.s.b or display the 3 cards separately 😭 might get another to have both, good job I dont like them loose too or I'd be a after 3 like yourself Lol 😀
Thanks mate, the good thing about it is that the 3 figures just slide out, no damage to the box needed. So you might be ok with one set.
Honestly though man, I don't envy you on this one because...truthfully...I think the skiff guards coming out in the last ten years are among Hasbro's BEST figures they've ever made. This is a TOUGH list to make. But you did great! But I WILL SAY, sadly, even though I think even he's great, I also think Kithaba is last. Like, IMO, if you're last place on this list...you're still like an A- of a figure at worst. I'm really hoping for a new Tessek soon, but he is one (POTJ version) of those figures that does hold up in a modern display.

@@BossksBounty Bib is a must! His last one, like Tessek, still can fit into modern displays too...but there's MUCH room for improvement. His last figure is basically a statue and I never much cared for the always, well, "hissing" expression it looks like he's giving.
No need to apologize so much or explain yourself for making such a list. We realize it’s gonna be your opinion and we may have differences. Overall it’s a great summary of Jabba’s goons and is well constructed. Personally I’m a big fan of The Gamorrean Guard, so it would’ve been my #1, followed by Yak Face #2, and so on. Thanks for another entertaining video!

@Bossk's Bounty - absolutely! I bought a whole case of the 6” Gamorrean Guards and have 3 of them flanking Jabba on my shelf. A fantastic figure and definitely one of my all-time favorites. One of my other favorites is the Dewback/Sandtrooper set that came out. I must have a thing for green pigs and lizards. 😬

Kithaba is one of my all time favorite Star Wars figures. However, sadly, I can’t really argue with you placing him last. So many weird design decisions on Hasbro’s part, from the overly rubbery weapon that makes him look like he’s holding a garden hose to his bizarrely skinny waist that is completely disproportionate to the rest of his body. Still the design of the alien is what places him on top for me. Hopefully Hasbro will update Barada for TVC soon.

Very cool. I have never really been in to customs to be honest but this card does look very good
Finally completed my skiff guards with the arrival of my 3 pack. Was a bitch to finally track them all down at reasonable prices. Here’s hoping Hasbro completes the other 4 or 5 we’re still missing.
Yeah would love Giran and Nysad (Skiff Gunner) to be released on Vintage cards.

Great list. I'm glad Wooof got the number one spot (thought you'd give it to Yak-Face) because overall I think he is the best so far. Great sculpt, paint and how they fit in the cloth goods. I have them all but the Weequay skiff guard. I'm still trying to find him a little cheaper or I will wait until they re-release him.

A tip for assembling it I picked up on another channel; with the Side Rails, plug in the fatter of the three pegs first. Made a huge difference for me.

Another trick, and I came up with this from some FLYGUY 6-Inch inspiration, is to use Mounting Putty to keep my figures in place on The Skiff. There are no foot pegs, and when I tilt the Skiff left and right with its “ratcheting tilt function” figures fall over like dominos.
This stuff is colored Black, and very similar to “poster putty”, but stronger (I think). I have Luke secured to the edge of the plank at a pretty steep angle. It’s a great fix! You might want to have some on hand for your review?

I got Yakface in 1st,Woof in 2nd,Gamorrean Guard in third and Lando in 4th place . I dont have the new 3 pack yet ,so i cant really rate the figures without having them in hand .
The rest is rated pretty much the same
Gamo guard such a great figure, just so annoying the head piece is so loose.
@@BossksBounty thats True !!! Thats a downside on this one .... but in my oppinion the only one . I got the first release carded and loose ,but maybe they fixed it on the reissued one

The Klaatu looks that way on the box because Hasbro said they wanted to make it look like the original package did in 1983. I would rather have had a brand new image on the package personally.
Also I probably would have rated them similarly, I think the Kithaba figure is just not movie accurate when it comes to the body of the figure.
Thats what I mean, I'm shocked they werent able to find the original Kenner one and had to cobble together one to make it look like it.

Can you please help me? How do you open figures and reseal those boxes?
Hey Rocco, you get a really sharp knife. At the bottom of the bubble you will be able to insert the knife, then just go very slowly around the right hand side of the bubble lifting the bubble from the card. It should come away without ripping, just be careful on the corners as you go round.

Yeah, so long as you have lifted it cleanly then it will glue back down nicely.
Do you have an idea of what the next wave will be?
The next wave is out on Triple Force Friday and will contain mainly Rise of Skywalker figures. Probably, Rey, Kylo (or a knights of Ren), A Rocket Trooper.

What's the difference between the wikway's.
One is Weequay Skiff Master and the other just Weequay. They are both in the film on the Skiff that Luke is on above the Sarlacc Pit, there was another one that opens the window of the Barge and gets thrown out by Luke.

@@BossksBounty Thanks. :-) Shipping there is, of course, much cheaper than from the US. If they even want to ship tot the EU. Collecting SW action figures has always been an expensive hobby, but now a days it's madness if you ask me...
I feel so bad I sold my starwar collection 2005 to 2013 figures over a hundred of them to a local antique store ,he only gave me $60.00 for the whole tub ,about 4 years ago ,I had 2 of every figure weequays, niktuu , just 1 of those weequays are going for $100 highest on ebay, everytime I see the guy I sold them to i feel like murdering him ,I know he turned in a big profit . Lol biggest lesson for me never listen to my girlfriend.
