Jacob from Spray N Coat Vegas guided us through selecting the ideal product tailored to withstand the unique conditions of the Vegas climate, ensuring durability against both the intense heat and UV exposure. Instead of opting for the conventional epoxy coating, we decided on a comprehensive 5-layer system for maximum protection and longevity.
The meticulous process began with a thorough acid etch and wash, followed by the application of a water-based primer to enhance adhesion to the substrate. Next up was Citadel's SLE100, a cutting-edge two-part hybrid epoxy boasting 100% solids for unparalleled strength and resilience.
Layer three introduced a decorative touch with the addition of chips, enhancing both aesthetics and traction. To lock in the chips and provide superior durability and flexibility, a clear polyaspartic layer was meticulously applied as the fourth step. Finally, a thin yet robust layer of polyurea was added for an extra boost of strength and resilience.
Covering a generous 2300 square feet, the total cost for this premium coating system came to approximately $15,000.
